Very reasonable priced for a world 1st class city. As NYC and Paris is pretty bad nowadays, those can't even be rated 1st class, but they sure charge rent like they are somehow.

We enjoyed your videos because of you and because it's nice to see Shanghai when we are not there. We always enjoyed your travel, food, and coffee tips. We are sorry to see you leave Shanghai but it sounds like the best for you. We will continue to watch but we will miss seeing you in Shanghai.

Hi! Thanks for sharing all this info. Something I didn't understand: Do they charge you for utilities aside? I thought it would be included in the price since it's a serviced apartment.
It's normally like this in China because each people would utilize different amount of utilities so you need to pay different fee for it. The only thing that differentiate the service apartment to the regular apartment would be the free housemaid service and free changing of your amenities with 24 hours reception service (just like hotels).

Didn't know Shanghai is that "cheap". This apartment without any furniture/maid service will probably cost $6000 in NYC.
China in general is cheap because there aren't greedy corporations that price gouge
NYC is way more expensive, Shanghai can’t be compared

Where do you park your car? Can you charge an electric vehicle? Where are all the cars at? In all your footage, hardly a car is seen
I didn’t own the car but there might also be the parking space inside the building (mostly they have them underground). As I heard from a friend, owning a car in Shanghai is quite expensive because the cost of plate number license is quite high. Secondly there are limited parking space plus the public transportation is convenient there so people might not need to have a car in Shanghai 😊

There is no garden on the roof but there is small outdoor resting area on the second floor, quite nice!
