I like the channel. This is my first vid. I appreciate the honesty of a real fishing video, fish don't always jump in the boat. I also appreciate the crappie fishing in the spring time of Northern Wisconsin. Little Tomahawk Lake near Minocqua. I won't say why I was able to fish this lake so often, but I can say I prob ever again unless some asks. I will reward for reading my long winded comment with a spot I always limit out (25 crappie) at, by 9 am with mostly Black Crappie that r all over 12", and a few will almost be a slab from ur figer tip to your elbow. The lake is small and u can only enter publicly from one side. As u enter the lake from there, immediately on ur left will be a large birtch tree that fell in with oth trees and vegetative cover alone the rest of the strait shore line. In spring, fish the remains of that tree with a light rod & reel (I prefer 4 lb diam Spiderwire braid cuz u will get a Bass, Northern, or Walleye in between Crappie). The best way to catch Crappie, as they bite very lite esp in that spot, is with a sick bobber with a small hook w a small Shiner or minnow. Don't use any weight (not 1 split shit)! That's my trick to catch lite biting Crappie, they bite so lite u will miss most unless u fish this way. No weight will allow the minnow to slowly sink and swim free mostly, and the stuck bobber will lay flat in the water. To catch ur limit, set the hook when ur stick bobber stands up. These crappie won't bite hard enuf to cause the bobber to "bob" or go under. Set the hook somewhat wasy cuz Crappie have sensitive mouths that rip hooks out if setting the hook to hard. That's why me & Todd limit out there, sick bobber w no weight and a small minnow on a small hook of your choice. Soon as the bobber stands up.....Have fun! Don't get stuck there for 2 years tho, like I did...If ya know you know, that lake has a secret! That's a fact that would make a good fishing show to talk about while catching fish on that lake....

Thank you for the cool story, and method for catching crappie. It sounds like a special place!
