    Very well said! I am a firm believer that you can’t be a 10/10 driver on one car without being at least a 7/10 driver on other cars. At least this is how I improved myself in 2k+ hrs time invested in acc

    Well I been watching and today subscribed. I as new to this sim racing. Only been doing for 7 months or so. I have learned so much. I was a desert racer as a pro 14 time done the Baja 1000. I totally understand the different cars and really get what you say learn different lines from different cars. I now have started on the Porsche. It is hard but kinda satisfying. Thanks

    I started with the BMW and pretty much only drove that. Recently got the update pack with the new cars and tried them all out and found the Ferrari and it suits me much better, have dropped seconds on most tracks, definitely think it’s worthwhile trying different cars as you improve

      The Ferrari fits my driving style so well (I'm immediately a full second quicker in it on ANY track) that I feel like I should driving something else to expand my skills a bit. It almost makes me too comfortable? I don't know how to explain it. I immediately fell in love with it, though.

    Great video, I was impressed so have subscribed, at the age of 68 I have only just recently started Sim racing, I am about 300 hours into AC and ACC. Having driven both , I prefer AC as it gives me more feel through the wheel , I will give your idea of trying the Porsche gt3 and think practicing in that car will help me get better in my usual choice of car and allow me to learn more about setups than I have already. I have evolved a good stable setup for my usual choice of cars and in doing so learned a great deal from the process. Thanks for the instructional videos , seasons greetings, best wishes Brian.

    I feel like there are 2 groups of people in ACC: Group 1 - picks up the car and sticks to it no matter what (so you will see them driving GTRs, Hondas and even some driving Jaguar). They know that this is compromising their overall results but that is still fine. Group 2 - those who follow the current BOP trend. I have seen grid of 50% Mclarens, then it was Mercedes, then BMW, now it is Ferrari 296. I have to admit that myself belong to the first group and overall in my almost 4 years driving ACC I did only 2 cars

    Agree completely. Only beginner but after establishing myself with the M4 I started changing cars depending on the setup guide. The 992 is crazy but fun, the ferrari seems easy fast without changing the setups much and now the M4 feels slow but is still close in lap time 😂

    The 992 is a different beast. While others are trail braking, the Porsche just lifts off the trottle to rotate and uses the throttle again to rotate some more. I'm a first season Rookie in my community league, so I opted for tye Aston Martin, but when I'm putting my growth to the test in practice there is nothing more exhilarating than the 992. I've also used the NSX on tracks like Spa and Mt Panorama to good effect - nailing those fast turns over elevations in the NSX requires refined input control. Cheers 🍻

  • @Daniel_Born_Races
    @Daniel_Born_Races ปีที่แล้ว +2

    This is so true. I'm new to sim racing and only been playing on the Aston Martin until a week ago when I had the same thought as you. I switched to the Ferrari and also started practicing on Automobilista and have dropped a second on every track already. I am noticing things in the force feedback that I didn't before.

    • @opmike343
      @opmike343 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My issue with AMS2 is that it has a crazy wide range of stability when the car is at extreme slip angles. I can initiate and hold slides, even in high downforce open wheel cars, that shouldn't be possible in real life. For MY driving style (other people are different) it allows for bad habits to start to creep into my driving. It's fun, yes, but there's quirks with that driving model that is holding your hand.

    I started out with the Porsche as well and when I got consistent times at monza I noticed it couldn’t get any faster. I also noticed stock settings doesn’t work with Porsche too well on curbs. And I’m not advance enough to mess with that stuff. So I figured let me try bmw. And boy my time dropped even more. So basically driving a difficult car made driving an easy car even more easier. It’s like you said. Learning the hard skills on a hard car works well with an easy car. With that said I’m going back to Porsche this week

      True Ive tried many cars so far, and the only one that competes is Porsche. But McLaren has a very good and clear view compared to Porsche. And the car itself feels faster to drive and control to me. But the bumps are the weaker side of it. Probably needs some height adjustments. Its unstable over bumps. But still good for its visibility and control.

    Question to everyone, but on my ps5 playing acc while driving the Porsche, when zipping down any track, once I try gearing down, it doesn’t allow for super fast downshifts like the other cars I drive…is this a Porsche thing in the game mimicking their gearbox? Or do I have a faulty Porsche…ha… as I literally can not gear down fast at all. It has a delay for some reason…sigh

    I started out with the Bentley but it's quite understeery and heavy. it didn't suit me at all. Lambhgorhini is nice but quite difficult to turn.
    Nissan is also nice, a very balanced car overall I quite liked it. It's more to the understeery direction but I liked it and its a bit heavy. But not as much as the Bentley. Were the wheels need to be straight in order to get speed. And u don't spin out and the brakes are a bit better.
    My favorite overall car is the mercedes amg. Because you have to improve all the time with it and it let's you to improve with it.
    It's not understeery or oversteering. it's balanced and if you make it understeering/oversteering mistakes that's on you.
    I feel the car let's you do the mistakes and let's you know that it was you at fault and not the vehicle.
    It does turns and kerbs quite well and braking and speeding is nice. It's the perfect car for me. Even when i don't tune it, it's just perfect.

    • @dispatchcenter1241
      @dispatchcenter1241 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      More rear toe helps. Its has shorter gears, going in at low revs makes it oversteer. Try gears Two and three at Zolder T 1, 2, and gear 3 and 4 at T4 to see what I mean. Experiment with + or - one on bump and rebound. Lower anti roll bars to learn how it behaves and bump it up as you gain experience.
      High wing on most tracks. Dial back with experience.
      TC 3 or more ABS 3 or more until you learn to control it.
      It will oversteer if you coast a lot. Use a bit of throttle.
      Don't use Zero front bump stop range.
