"Why is she so important?"
It's not that she's important. It's just a filmmaking/psychological tactic to routinely give you a familiar face in the crowd so that you have more of an emotional response when they're in danger.

This was the Marvel event movie I got to see in theaters with my ex-fiancee, and we both sincerely enjoyed it even more than the first Avengers movie. It is a comic book brought to the life in the best sense. Thrilling, exciting, tense, smart, imaginative, and unexpectedly pulls at your heartstrings without warning. But best of all? It makes you want to relive it again one day, just plucking it off the shelf to enjoy the ride over from start to finish. Incidentally, you are so right in your assessment of the MCU movies. Every one of them offers up a distinctive experience, which will no doubt be what they are most universally remembered for.

wonderful reaction, I love this movie I think more than the first Avengers, James Spader's voice is just perfect as Ultron, and this movie has some amazing Hawkeye lines, from the "I've done the whole mind control thing, Not a fan" when Wanda tried to control him, to "Nobody Would Know, Nobody. Yeah The Last I Saw him, Ultron was sitting on him" when Pietro(Quicksilver) was on their side and he ran past and Barton aimed his bow at him, to "The City is Flying, We're Fighting An Army of Robots & I Have A Bow & Arrow, none of this makes sense" when talking to Wanda when she was freaking out, to "You Step out that Door, You Are an Avenger" again talking to Wanda, just some great moments, also love the scene where they are all trying to lift Mjolnir (Thor's Hammer),also the hilarious moment Steve says Language when Tony said sh*t, and then Tony making fun of him for it, also having the vision Wanda gave Tony take advantage of his PTSD he had from the New York Battle with him seeing everyone dead and Steve telling him he could have saved them was brilliant

Yeah, Black Widow and Hawkeye having a romance would have made much more sense than the romance between her and Bruce. At least in the first movie they had chemistry and history with each other, the romance between Natasha & Bruce in this movie felt so random & out of nowhere, they didn't have any romantic tension with each other in the first movie or any of the other MCU movies before this. A romance between her and Captain America I could have accepted more because at least in the Winter Soldier-movie there where some romantic tension between them (mostly from Natasha anyway). I mean sure, after this one and a couple of movies later you do just accept it, but that's one of the nitpicks I have with this movie and I really do like this movie (but not as much as the 1st movie).

The only issue I have with this movie is the scene where Thor goes to that waterhole, it's so sudden, is given 0 actual explaination and just feels rushed and lazy.
This movie certainly doesn't deserve the hate it gets, but the only Avengers movie "worse" (none of them are bad, at all) than this one is the first one imo.

• @MrHale
@MrHale 3 ปีที่แล้ว

@@Dead25m I've never understood the statement about that scene coming from nowhere and explaining nothing. Thor says in the farm that he needs Selvig. Finds Selvig and then they go to the cave where he sees the Infinity Stones which explains things for him.
After this he goes to seek Infinity Stones and arrives in Surtur's lair.
Maybe the cave itself could've been explained better, but they kinda explain it in the moment. It is Thor after all, they have ton of magical stuff they don't explain.
I would understand the frustration if Thor just took off without saying a thing and next scene was with him and Selvig in the cave. But no, there is plenty of backstory to it.

• @Dead25m
@Dead25m 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

@@MrHale Not really...
Because it's very rushed. He takes off, finds Selvig, then suddenly they're there at the water.
No explaination as to why he actually needed Selvig either, and he said it would be dangerous yet no danger what so ever (for Selvig) appears and we honestly have no idea how Selvig even helped him.
The pool itself isn't really explained other than "yah, if I stand in here I can see that vision again", like, it's fine that a movie shows instead of tells but it just pops out of nowhere and resolves the entire movie's issue and has yet to be mentioned again, it's pretty much an ex machina imo.
And he doesn't say he needs Selvig, he says he needs answers.
I know however from deleted scenes that there were a lot more scenes connected to it that explained it way better, but they had to cut it out, which is sad because that's the only part of the movie that feels dumbed down just to make the movie work properly.
I mean, if it worked for you, then, great, but that entire segment was imo just bad and rushed.
