I had wished at the time that they had made an after credit scene for Stan Lee's cameo. It would be after that first Ultron attack after the party, and the whole place is still a mess. Some little old janitor played by Stan Lee comes along with a garbage trolly and a little broom sweeping up. He comes to where the table is to clean up all the rubble on top, and Mjolnir is in the way. He very casually lifts it up and sweeps underneath before placing it back down, and then continues pushing his trolly and cleaning up as he goes off camera. Of course Stan Lee is worthy. There's plenty of reasons why the scene doesn't work, but it's darn charming.
In the comics, Cap would shout a battle cry saying, "Avengers assemble'. Basically, his way of calling everyone to the fight. So, at the end when he said, " Avengers ..." audiences went nuts thinking he was going to say the iconic line.

Hey Jax, I've been watching your marvel journey since the beginning, and I've got to say that it has been extremely enjoyable. Congrats on the content and I hope you continue with this journey, as there are plenty of movies to watch!
One of the best easter eggs in the MCU happened near the end of the movie, when Natasha is on FaceTime with Barton's wife while she's holding her new born baby. The baby is wearing a shirt with his full name Nathaniel Pietro Barton, named after tia Natasha and Pietro in honor of his sacrifice of saving Clint.
FYI Strucker was featured in the post credits scene of The Avengers where he talks about "The Twins", referring to the first time we see Quicksilver & his sister Scarlet Witch. ("He's fast & she's weird" ~Maria Hill/Cobie Smulders)
@JJJanez no need to say it just so you could be the first to spoil it. People read right afterwards by habit. So just don't mention it as exciting as it is?
Jax!! This reaction had me all smiles the entire time!! I am so glad you enjoyed this one and I can't wait for you to see all the other amazing moments in store for you as you continue your journey through the MCU!
I love how animated you get when reacting to these movies! You have a twinkle in your eyes and look genuinely filled with joy. You have such an uplifting spirit and I sincerely appreciate you!
FYI in the comics the Maximoff twins started off as villains, but they switched sides and became heroes, joining the Avengers. For that matter Clint and Natasha were also originally foes of the Avengers who later switched sides. The MCU changed up lots of things, up but kept that same dynamic for the twins.
@@Cream-2128 yeah the change to non-mutants unrelated to Magneto was definitely driven by the film rights situation, just like the cancellation of the Fantastic Four comics. A shame, it all seemed so petty...
*I'm Gobsmacked.* Jax it's insane how you deduced Steve's fear of reality AND Vision lifting Mjilnor. Thanks for your reactions, and the hard work editing to breathe new life into a good movie. Btw Odin said "Whoever" not "Whatever", and Vision is sentient. 'Civil War' is awesome, but Lamby will be working overtime.😢
I'm so glad you enjoyed this! You make such a great point about Odin having said "whoever" not "whatever". I wasn't sure if Vision was sentient, but that proves he is. Haha, Lamby doesn't mind working overtime! ❤️
49:22 When Steve starts to talk... he is giving the prep speech for the big fight that lies ahead of them. DAMN Captain America can give an inspiring speech while reminding everyone of the dangers and what is truly on the line. 53:46 Clint also gives a terrific speech to Wanda. It is funny but also very inspiring! 54:18 "I am wondering what that woman's audition was like..." Hahahaha! Thank god I am not the only person who has thoughts like that when I watch a movie. 😆
When Cap attempted to lift the Hammer, He didn't lift it but you do hear it screech on the glass table just abit... That's when Thor lost his smile for a second.
Literally the best reaction I’ve seen. You’re not just reacting but getting involved, predicting stuff, analysing, and everything. I’m really enjoying these MCU reactions. It’s like we’re watching together and also your thinking about the characters and situations remarkably match with mine. And of course, you’re so beautiful.
What a compliment! Thank you so much!! 🎉 It's been so fun experiencing the MCU journey with such a great community of people. It's like watching with a bunch of friends ❤️
Awesome reactions for this movie, Jax. You have truly become invested in the MCU and every MCU character and would you believe, the best is still yet to come.
I'm so glad to hear the best is yet to come!! These movies have been SO fun to watch. I can't wait to see what's going to happen next. And I'm really looking forward to seeing Ant Man since I happen to really like Paul Rudd.
@@reactswithjax Yep, it budged slightly. The popular theory is that he could pick it up but as soon as he realized, he pretended that he couldn't to spare Thor's ego. The reasoning for this is that you can't be "slightly" worthy. Either you're worthy or you're not, so the hammer shouldn't ever just move slightly.
Steve's biggest fear isn't his actual reality - because Peggy is not in his life as he sees in his vision - it is that the war is over; that there is no fight to be fought. Jax says it herself at 53:50, "Steve's the only one that has nothing but the fight."
Max, they cut it off before Cap said the tagline from the comics “Avengers, assemble.” It’s an acknowledgment of the comic book tradition for all the fans. I’m just glad that Thor FINALLY has someone else with the shared experience that he can chat about the hammer with “ Yes we’ll, if it’s too heavy you lose power on the swing.”
I've seen the uncut scene, he actually says "Avengers: welcome to Avenger training. Lunch will be served at noon and we'll have two additional 15 minute breaks."
I swear to God Jax, and I'm not even exaggerating this, but you have the absolute BEST first time reactions to any TH-camr I've watched (and I follow a LOT). And it's because you don't just watch a movie and make a few jokes or comments here and there. All throughout your MCU journey, you've studied every movie as you've watched it. You analyze and pick apart the tiniest details as they're happening in front of you. You take what you've learned and tried to use that to predict what's to come. You remember all the small moments from previous movies and piece everything together as it all interconnects. And I absolutely LOVE that that last several videos have been getting slightly longer and longer so we get to see even more in depth reactions. Also, random side note but I don't know if you noticed... when Steve tried picking up the hammer, it DID actually budge just a tiny bit. That's why Thor looked so concerned. Steve had actually moved it just a hair!
Another thing that most people don't notice is in this one is, they often talk about monsters, but we never see Banner change into one. Sure we see Hulk but we don't see him become Hulk. I always thought that was a brilliant bit of subtext.
This movie was Clint getting more time to shine than he did in Avengers and we got to see some of his backstory and character development. He was hilarious in this with those one-liners.
Marvel purposefully let it leak that a protagonist was going to die in this movie. Throughout the whole movie they set you up to think it was going to be Barton. Right when you think Barton is going to die, Pietro dies instead. There's some nuance as to why they had to kill Pietro off in this movie and I'm sure somebody else has probably already explained it in the comments so I won't bother. The fact that we were made to think it was going to be Barton is why that line "you didn't see that coming" was so powerful.
I really love your reactions! They are so genuine and you pick up on so many little things, it's wonderful to watch! I am really excited to keep following this journey!
@@reactswithjaxyou should look into The Blacklist that stars James Spader. He plays a criminal mastermind who works with the FBI to take down more criminals.
In the comics after the original Avengers formed they had too many personal issues to continue as a team. Captain America is the only one who stayed and he brought in three new recruits: Hawkeye the marksman and a pair of twins Pietro with super speed and Wanda with chaotic hex bolts. They are old school Avengers and I’m so glad they were introduced in this movie along with another early recruit the synthezoid Vision.
@@knightheaven8992 Not anymore actually. Since Fox owned the film rights to X-Men and Marvel owned the film rights to Avengers characters they retconned the twins to no longer be mutants or Magneto’s children.
@@mrcapra yes for awhile in the comics Miss America and Whizzer were their parents, and then years later Magneto and Magda were their parents. But now in the comics neither of those are true anymore.
Love how much you love and are excited for the Falcon when he was always underappreciated and undervalued by most fans in my opinion. I think your going to love his journey and contributions as you delve more into the MCU.
The hilarious lil clips u put in are perfect. Kudo's to you Milady. Never seen clips used better in any reaction video. Thanks for the great reactions.
The guy who played Quicksilver, Aaron Taylor Johnson, was Kick-Ass and is going to be the new James Bond. Side-note, the _other_ Quicksilver, the one in the X-Men movies, is also in Kick-Ass, as Johnson's friend
FRIDAY is voiced by Kerry Condon, an Irish actress. It's also adopted from the American slang term "his girl/guy Friday" meaning that person is the go-to person to get things done.
Fun facts about the Stan Lee cameos. Excelsior was his catchphrase when interacting with the fans. Also a fan theory about the cameos was that he was actually playing a Watcher, the most powerful beings in the universe sworn to observe but never interfere.
Steve could pick up the hammer. He saw Thor's worried look and chose to pretend he couldn't move it, to protect Thor's feelings. If you watch that scene carefully Steve wobbled the hammer before he looks at Thor.
Getting your MCU reactions is something I look forward to quite a bit! You offer such a unique take on these movies. I think you watch them the way they're supposed to be watched with no expectations or spoilers(at least I hope no spoilers). This movie has a million little things that I could ramble on about, but I just hope you're enjoying the ride as much as I am. Love seeing you and Lamby. I wonder what your power would be if you were an avenger? I already know what power Lamby would have!
Bruce's girlfriend from the Hulk movie was Betty. Tony named the Hulk Buster Veronica after a couple of characters from the Archie's comics. "Betty & Veronica."
'Nobody calls him Nicholas or Nick, it's just Fury', not true, Maria Hill calls him Nick all the time, and a few second after Jax brings that up Tony also calls him Nick.
Jax your reactions are the best! I’ve never gotten so antsy watching a reaction. I watch wishing I could give you an immediate reaction to every question you ask throughout the video because they’re the right questions, but to answer them would be spoiling it, so I won’t. But I wish I could say something or make a face (in the moment) so you could understand how relevant the question is. I can’t wait for you to watch Phase 3! It’s gonna be awesome!
Hey Jax! Love your videos. Your reactions are so genuine and adorable. Perfect audio, perfect amount of visual watch along and your smart so you put things together very well. And, with all due respect, you are freakin gorgeous! I heart you!
I really enjoyed this Avengers movie. The birth of my favorite Avenger(Vision) blew my mind. At the time, I didn’t know that he would be joining the team, but he did. And Bettany and the MCU did an amazing job bringing him to life. Stark and Vis have always been my favorite Avengers and they couldn’t have come to life any better. It’s such a bummer that the infinity saga had to come to an end. The MCU just isn’t the same any more.
@@nemya9586because they completely botched Ultron. I definitely like this one better than the first but all the ultron changes they made just were not good.
What Tony was made to see when Wanda zapped him is what he fears will happen in the future. He saw that space armada when he went through the portal over NYC. Only that one ship got destroyed by the nuke. The rest are still out there. Yes, Wanta's red-colored power means that it's chaos magic. In the comic books, it altered probabilities. Fun fact, The twins started out on the wrong side in the comics before joining the Avengers. Great reaction and thinking throughout and catching onto the foreshadowing.
WOW! THANK YOU SO MUCH ALVIN! I really appreciate your Super Thanks and am overjoyed that you enjoy my content so much. I'm wishing you the most wonderful weekend and week ahead. ❤️🎉🐑 ❤️🎉
There is a reason that Wanda's powers are red in color. Also why Pietro, her brother, is always wearing blue. It has to do with their comic book personas. Which eventually will be revealed. 😅 The armor to fight the Hulk is referred to in the comics as the Hulkbuster armor. Yes, Tony makes many variations of the Iron Man armor for specific purposes. Lol 🤣 Jarvis/The Mindstone/The Vision is indeed worthy. He he he 😂 Clint is a big believer in redemption and second chances. He succeeded in convincing Natasha to defect to the west and join S.H.I.E.L.D. So it makes sense he saw that potential in Wanda
That makes sense why the twins are each associated with red and blue now. I love how prepared Tony is for any situation. Also, Clint is such a wholesome character. I love that he sees the best in people. ❤️ Thanks for sharing your insights.
Loved your reaction to this movie. Seeing your glee when Vision picks up Thor's hammer was maybe my favorite part. Can't wait to see the little tidbits in this movie fall into place for you later.
That's always been Banners biggest fear. In the comics, movies, TV shows, it's always been loosing him control and hurting the innocent. It's been said that even the hulk himself picks up on that and that's why he always tries to avoid people preferring areas like the desert when he's running
@@reactswithjax you also have to remember that Bruce and Hulk are pretty much 2 separate personalities, almost separate entities... So Bruce's biggest fear and Hulk's biggest fear might not be the same; but they would compliment each other... Bruce's fear might be loosing control to the Hulk and destroying everything; and Hulk's fear is actually probably Banner himself... Someone as strong as the Hulk with a basic raging personality, probably only "fears" being squish down and put on a box (mentally) by Banner; for him to not let him out and eventually get rid of him forever, for Banner to have complete control over his body... That's why you don't really mention "puny Banner" to Hulk 😂
Your reaction when Vision picked up Mjolnir is exactly what I expected it to be! The same thing happened in the theaters when we all saw it the first time. Super mega huge geek out moment!!
I think Cap's fear is living to see the end of the war and having no escape from thinking about those who didn't. My theory is that it has always been his plan to die in the war. He jumped on the grenade at Camp Lehigh, he went down in the plane at the end of Captain America, at the end of Winter Soldier he stayed with Bucky on the doomed carrier, he does not expect to survive the fight and he's actually afraid of doing it
In terms of what Joss Whedon intended when he wrote it, Cap's biggest fear is not having a place in the world, not fitting in, not being needed. The "soldier without a war" concept. Being a man out of time has brought those issues to the forefront of his mind, exacerbated by the constant teasing about "Language!", ie his outdated moral values. This was also alluded to in CAWS, with his list, "a lot of things to catch up on".
Nah, I think it's just the fact that at the end of the war, all the soldiers got to home to thier wives and family...for Cap he never got to "go home"...he pretty much will never(?) get to "muster out" of being a soldier
Ahh my lovely wholesome lady has returned to marvel. Can't wait to watch this reaction. Your editor or yourself made a mistake. His name is Nicolas Joseph Fury. He is referred to as fury. 'Captain's Orders.' I love that they brought him back for this cameo. Also it makes 'story sense' as Fury had to scramble to get an old SHIELD Heli-Carrier out of mothballs (see Agents of SHIELD for a bit about that). Now, where does he get personnel trained to run it? SHIELD is gone. Who is trained and who can he trust? That tech sure passes the test for me. 'I want to know what Thanos is up to!' No. You really don't.
There really should have been at least one Koenig on the helicarrier. 😝
Ultron was such a great villain. My favorite line was “you wounded me, I’ll give you marks for that. But..like the man said what doesn’t kill me, only makes me stronger”. Also Vision’s entrance out of the cradle was epic.
If you watch carefully in the group hammer lifting scene, Steve tries and the hammer wiggles. That is why Thor looked nervous.

Hey Jax, I've been watching your marvel journey since the beginning, and I've got to say that it has been extremely enjoyable. Congrats on the content and I hope you continue with this journey, as there are plenty of movies to watch!
Thank you SO much! I'm so glad you've enjoyed going on this journey with me. ❤️🎉
@@reactswithjax I hope you are doing well!?
It was the post credits of Captain America: Winter Soldier.
Yes! Thank you! I remember him now.
Spoiler warning: she will become Scarlet Witch way later.
@JJJanez no need to say it just so you could be the first to spoil it. People read right afterwards by habit. So just don't mention it as exciting as it is?

I love how animated you get when reacting to these movies! You have a twinkle in your eyes and look genuinely filled with joy. You have such an uplifting spirit and I sincerely appreciate you!
FYI in the comics the Maximoff twins started off as villains, but they switched sides and became heroes, joining the Avengers. For that matter Clint and Natasha were also originally foes of the Avengers who later switched sides. The MCU changed up lots of things, up but kept that same dynamic for the twins.
Well besides the whole mutant thing which the mcu pressured comics to recon too which is annoying as hell. Always prefer them as magneto kids.
@@Cream-2128 yeah the change to non-mutants unrelated to Magneto was definitely driven by the film rights situation, just like the cancellation of the Fantastic Four comics. A shame, it all seemed so petty...

“I think Jarvis is an honorary Avenger”. Best foreshadowing by Jax yet! 😂
This movie is so important for the whole MCU ❤
Specially it’s dialogues ❤
Betty and Veronica... Who knew Tony was an Archie fan?
Haha!

I say this all the time. James spader played ultron so great. He was such a fantastic pick to play the villain.
Did you see closely the hammer moved a little bit when Cap tried to pick it up that’s why Thor was worried 😂😂
Exactly. Is she watching on a small screen perhaps ? That's why these films need to be seen on a decent size one.
I couldn't tell if it moved or not...but when he didn't pick it up, I figured I just imagined it!
It is a very subtle thing, easily missed
@@reactswithjax Yep, it budged slightly. The popular theory is that he could pick it up but as soon as he realized, he pretended that he couldn't to spare Thor's ego. The reasoning for this is that you can't be "slightly" worthy. Either you're worthy or you're not, so the hammer shouldn't ever just move slightly.
@@cyberingcatgirls7069Why do you have to spoil anything?
That's because he never said that. Marvel was messing with everyone.
@@Caseytify - This is the very point made. They cut it off, so he didn't say it, as a nod/tease to the comic fans. 😉✌🏼
@@W0NK042 It also sets up one of the best, moments in the entire franchise.
I love James Spader in this. He's really matured as an actor over the years. Now when I see his name attached to a film, I go out of my way to see it.
He's a great actor. I remember him most as Robert California from The Office, but he's had such a great career.
@@reactswithjax My god Robert cracks me up.....even more than micahel scott

In case you didn't notice Bartons sons name was on his onesie. He was named after Wanda's brother Pietro
This movie aged well for me. I wasn’t a big fan when I saw it in the theater, but it I really love it now after the following movies came out.
I didn't like it as much as the other MCU movies at the time, but now it is one of my favorites for everything it setup.
And all the future movies have so many call backs to this one.
Another thing that most people don't notice is in this one is, they often talk about monsters, but we never see Banner change into one. Sure we see Hulk but we don't see him become Hulk. I always thought that was a brilliant bit of subtext.
Cap: “language..!”
My favorite 😄
Your reaction to Vision picking up the hammer was amazing!
This movie was Clint getting more time to shine than he did in Avengers and we got to see some of his backstory and character development. He was hilarious in this with those one-liners.
I’m so glad you liked this movie! It is so underrated in my opinion. Can’t wait for your future reactions! You are so much fun!
Ending, Steve was going to say "Avengers Assemble!" That's been their collective catch phrase since the comic books.
Cap was gonna say Assemble, the classic line, we finally hear it in Endgame.
Thank you so much!! ❤️
Great timing for you to say that JARVIS is an honorary Avenger, cuz in this movie, he does become an Avenger by becoming Vision
They really showed Tony relying on him a lot in this movie. They were definitely laying the breadcrumbs for his transformation into Vision ❤️
@@reactswithjaxwell Tony created Jarvis. Jarvis is like personal friend for Tony rather than just an AI.

Hahaha! Yes!
In the comics after the original Avengers formed they had too many personal issues to continue as a team. Captain America is the only one who stayed and he brought in three new recruits: Hawkeye the marksman and a pair of twins Pietro with super speed and Wanda with chaotic hex bolts. They are old school Avengers and I’m so glad they were introduced in this movie along with another early recruit the synthezoid Vision.
yup although in the comics they are mutants, and quicksilver is part of x men, and their biological father is magneto
@@knightheaven8992 Not anymore actually. Since Fox owned the film rights to X-Men and Marvel owned the film rights to Avengers characters they retconned the twins to no longer be mutants or Magneto’s children.

If you pay close attention to Mjolnir when Cap tried to pick it up, it had very slight moment. Maybe he's worthy for not showing off, maybe he's not.
Captain America actually budges it a little, you can hear it squeak a little and then that’s when Thor gets nervous

Idk why this movie gets so much hate
Too bad they made Vision just for Infinity War and didn't know what to do with him until then. And of course Wandavision.

There is a reason that Wanda's powers are red in color. Also why Pietro, her brother, is always wearing blue. It has to do with their comic book personas. Which eventually will be revealed. 😅
The armor to fight the Hulk is referred to in the comics as the Hulkbuster armor. Yes, Tony makes many variations of the Iron Man armor for specific purposes. Lol 🤣
Jarvis/The Mindstone/The Vision is indeed worthy. He he he 😂
Clint is a big believer in redemption and second chances.
My take is that what Bruce did to the city IS his nightmare.
That's always been Banners biggest fear. In the comics, movies, TV shows, it's always been loosing him control and hurting the innocent. It's been said that even the hulk himself picks up on that and that's why he always tries to avoid people preferring areas like the desert when he's running
That's terribly sad. You're probably right. Thanks for sharing that insight.
Your energy is so great watching these movies, feels like I'm watching it for the first time. Great job.
