"I could choke the life out of you and never change a shade". That coming from Bruce Banner as the most aggressive weve seen him gives me chills everytime. Easily overlooked but definitely one of my favorite lines in this movie.

What Steve was about to say at the end was "Avengers, Assemble!" which is a classic battlecry/call to arms from the comics to rally the Avengers. It was a line to tease the comicbook fans.

I had wished at the time that they had made an after credit scene for Stan Lee's cameo. It would be after that first Ultron attack after the party, and the whole place is still a mess. Some little old janitor played by Stan Lee comes along with a garbage trolly and a little broom sweeping up. He comes to where the table is to clean up all the rubble on top, and Mjolnir is in the way. He very casually lifts it up and sweeps underneath before placing it back down, and then continues pushing his trolly and cleaning up as he goes off camera. Of course Stan Lee is worthy. There's plenty of reasons why the scene doesn't work, but it's darn charming.

In the comics, Cap would shout a battle cry saying, "Avengers assemble'. Basically, his way of calling everyone to the fight. So, at the end when he said, " Avengers ..." audiences went nuts thinking he was going to say the iconic line.

@@vxrosalesit’s a mix of both. Steve’s fear is that there’s no place for him in peacetime.
Peggy says “we can go home…imagine it.”
And the room empties because he *can’t* imagine it.

    • @Souledex
      @Souledex ปีที่แล้ว +17

His fear is definitely that he has to go home and be a person and dance with a girl. He had unknowingly been designed by his experiences to be Captain America and then given every enhancement to do it. When he entered that job he was the best at it of anyone ever - so good and moral and effective it was actually a responsibility, if he wasn't in the room maybe things would be worse. It's the exact opposite of Tony's fear, He's always sucked at normal life things, of course he'd be scared to let people down, and he gave himself and everyone else every justification he could think of for why he would never have to do that.

The ballroom is filled with flashes and the sound of missiles, people are punching each other, someone's cradling his fallen buddy and mopping the red (wine) off his chest, we know Peggy's still alive but Steve sees her with a huge red bloom on *her* chest. All his old friends as he knew them are long gone and he can still never free himself from the war. Both Loki and Ultron recognized this.

I wish I could say, without spoilers, that you are by far one of the most alert and perceptive reactors I've ever seen. You catch the story and recognize the significance of a lot of details almost instantly.
Your edits make it seem like you're not keeping up, or slow on the uptake, but I don't really take those seriously. You see things coming, and you realize what something means later if you miss the first pass.
    So --- good reactor.
Moreover, you're truly invested, unfake-ably, and your enthusiastic involvement is rejuvenating, at least to this 60+ Marvel Man.

'Captain's Orders.' I love that they brought him back for this cameo. Also it makes 'story sense' as Fury had to scramble to get an old SHIELD Heli-Carrier out of mothballs (see Agents of SHIELD for a bit about that). Now, where does he get personnel trained to run it? SHIELD is gone. Who is trained and who can he trust? That tech sure passes the test for me. 'I want to know what Thanos is up to!' No. You really don't.

I swear to God Jax, and I'm not even exaggerating this, but you have the absolute BEST first time reactions to any TH-camr I've watched (and I follow a LOT). And it's because you don't just watch a movie and make a few jokes or comments here and there. All throughout your MCU journey, you've studied every movie as you've watched it. You analyze and pick apart the tiniest details as they're happening in front of you. You take what you've learned and tried to use that to predict what's to come. You remember all the small moments from previous movies and piece everything together as it all interconnects. And I absolutely LOVE that that last several videos have been getting slightly longer and longer so we get to see even more in depth reactions.
Also, random side note but I don't know if you noticed... when Steve tried picking up the hammer, it DID actually budge just a tiny bit. That's why Thor looked so concerned. Steve had actually moved it just a hair!

Marvel purposefully let it leak that a protagonist was going to die in this movie. Throughout the whole movie they set you up to think it was going to be Barton. Right when you think Barton is going to die, Pietro dies instead. There's some nuance as to why they had to kill Pietro off in this movie and I'm sure somebody else has probably already explained it in the comments so I won't bother. The fact that we were made to think it was going to be Barton is why that line "you didn't see that coming" was so powerful.

There is a reason that Wanda's powers are red in color. Also why Pietro, her brother, is always wearing blue. It has to do with their comic book personas. Which eventually will be revealed. 😅
The armor to fight the Hulk is referred to in the comics as the Hulkbuster armor. Yes, Tony makes many variations of the Iron Man armor for specific purposes. Lol 🤣
Jarvis/The Mindstone/The Vision is indeed worthy. He he he 😂

Someone as strong as the Hulk with a basic raging personality, probably only "fears" being squish down and put on a box (mentally) by Banner; for him to not let him out and eventually get rid of him forever, for Banner to have complete control over his body... In terms of what Joss Whedon intended when he wrote it, Cap's biggest fear is not having a place in the world, not fitting in, not being needed. The "soldier without a war" concept. Being a man out of time has brought those issues to the forefront of his mind, exacerbated by the constant teasing about "Language!", ie his outdated moral values.

Hello! I didn't realize Fury's middle name was Joseph. What a fun fact! Also, I love Scotland. I visited Edinburgh with my family a few years back. Lamby is 100% Irish and then my mom's side of the family came from Ireland. So we are very distant cousins! ❤️

that Irish accent was the natural speaking voice of the Irish actress Kerry Condon.

Funniest part of this movie is Natasha talking about how she cant have kids and stuff like that and Scarlett casually being pregnant😂😂

(No spoilers) That 'glove' Thanos put on isn't just armor. It has a very specific purpose. You might be able to guess a purpose by looking closely at its design and markings.
Back in the first Thor movie a very similar gauntlet could be seen in Odin's treasure room......
