I feel like the lyrics depict the perspective of a killing game participant who's trying to solve the case for hope and survival.

Clearly, our "protagonist" just got locked away inside the school. Their daily life is no more. They were trapped in there, forced to play Monokuma's killing game.

Things like status, talent or obligations don't matter anymore. Everyone's equal here. They're all in this together. Everyone can help out a bit. Everyone needs to try their best to escape this hopeless situation. Everyone needs to stay strong to not lose sight of their hope. Because everyone is capable of murder.

Because they want to live. They still have things to do in life. They want to keep living.

There's an easy way to achieve what they want right in front of them. All they need to do is kill someone. Their way out is right there. What does it matter if they win the class trial by exposing the killer of if they win by deceiving everyone. Someone will die either way.

There's no way they're gonna give into the temptation. They're never gonna kill. There's no way they ever would. They're not a killer.
