I just realized something. In Chapter 5, the argument is "Which one is dead?", with the choices being Kokichi and Kaito. However, on the side that says "Its Kokichi!", Kaito's portrait sits there, and on the "It's Kaito!" side, Kokichi's portrait sits there.
I like how in the fifth debate, Momota's on the side saying Ouma died while Ouma's on the side saying Momota died. Even in death/purgatory, the two can't stop clawing at each other's throats.

This is my all time favorite mechanic in this series. It’s so stylish and suspenseful from beginning to end. I really hope if they make more Danganronpa games in the future, they keep this mechanic.
KirbyKips I personally agree 100%. They refined all of the elements perfectly. Hangman's Gambit is awesome now. Psyche Taxi is better than Logic Dive (though I prefer the LD music more). AA beat BTB and PTA (even if HYPER ULTRA PTA is my favorite track in the main series). And Scrum Debates are no doubt the best addition.
Caden Bass hangmans gambit mechanic was better than the last one but still it was tedious. They should use that mini game only when looking for very specific nouns. Psyche Taxi was shit. I preferred Logic Dive. AA was the one that was godly refined. I never thought I would finally enjoy that minigame, though BTB wasnt that bad
I wish there was the mechanic where you can ABSORB other student's statements and turn the truth bullets and turn them into absorbed FABRICATED truth bullets. That'd be awesome!

Debate Scrums seem to be really, REALLY easy. What if they instead of matching words that are the same, you have to pick words RELATING to their statements? That way you have to think alot more also rasing the difficulty and simulation of a real debate. I think this mode could be very improved.

Both of Shuichi's voices are really good and they suit him for different reasons. George Grant's sort of nasally deeper voice suits his awkwardness but he also does a great job at making him sound more confident as the story goes on, considering Shuichi grows stronger, little by little-but he still keeps a pessimistic touch. Megumi Hayashibara's voice suits him in how weak-willed and soft he is. They both have their pros and cons but they both suit him extremely well, imo.
Note: Kaede will always be on Shuichi's side, even in death (because she believes in him) Tsumugi only sides with Kaede in the 1st trial in order to pin the crime on Kaede (then goes against Shuichi the following trials) Keebo is always right; even when against Shuichi Kaito always opposes Kokichi and sides with more people, even in death Kokichi always opposes Kaito and sides with less people, even in death Korekiyo only sides with Shuichi in the 3rd trial in order to live longer (then goes against Shuichi in other trials, even in death) Angie always sides with Shuichi when alive, then opposes him when dead Miu always opposes Shuichi when alive, then sides with him when dead Tenko and Himiko are always in the same side next to each other (except upon Tenko's death) Ryoma never sides with Shuichi, even in death (also his portrait is short so you can't really see it) Rantaro's portrait is always on the side with more dead people Gonta only sides with Kaede in the 1st trial (then opposes Shuichi the following trials) Kirumi only opposes Shuichi in the 2nd trial because she is the blackened (and sides with him even in death) Whenever Maki and Kaito are on the same side, they are next to each other

Don't get me wrong, Saihara's VA is very skilled. I just think her voice is slightly too high pitched to be able to voice a boy. That's not her fault tho as it's hard to go outside your own voice boundaries without sounding fake as hell. Just as I think kokichi's voice in the english dub was slightly too low but the VA was still able to do a great job.
Dark Knight Idk to me SDR2 was more about alienating the concept of only Hope or Despair present in the future, replacing that with belief of a Future filled with many possibilities with both Hope _and_ Despair mixed in.
Aurelia Avalon There's also themes of the past and moving forward. The SDR2 cast have their own personal issues in the past that they have to get passed and move towards their own future
Korekiyo has the same voice as Obanai, Hikaru Hitachiin, and Zack Fair. Miu’s Japanese VA played the stage version of Chihiro Fujisaki in the Danganronpa play and was formerly a member of AKB48. And of course Kokoichi is obviously Zenitsu but also Dabi, Connie, and Rex from Xenoblade
Korekiyo has Sho Minazuki's both JP and ENG VA's so I'm simping for him the most. Still hard to believe that Kokichi shares the same JP VA as Akihisa Yoshii... 🤣
Something really cool about these debates is that you aren't always right. In the 3rd and last debate the opposite side had the right idea even if it was too soon
One thing I found really cool about the debates is that Tsumugi is never on your side except on her lie in the first trial. She's never REALLY on your side.

To the people complaining why Shuichi is being voiced by a female character for JP: 1) This isn't the first time it has happened. Naegi was voiced by Megumi Oogata, Hinata by Minami Takayama and now Shuichi by Megumi Hayashibara. All LEGENDARY seiyuus, Hayashibara's known as the seiyuu goddess in Japan, for one. 2) A different interpretation does not mean it is a worse performance. Hayashibara's Saihara exudes more of the "moe" factor he has come to be so popular about in Japan, especially since he is an anxious, insecure and more effeminate in contrast to the loud, confident, masculine Kaito. 3) If anything, Hayashibara put in more nuance and units in Saihara's voice in order to emphasize his anxiety-ridden character, hence why people would say her performance is "weaker" compared to JP when it's totally not. Grant George's interpretation focus more on him Saihara's growing confidence and personality while still maintaining that pessimistic nature, where people call his performance "flat" and "emotionless." 4) People fluent in both languages of English AND Japanese are the ones who can truly measure how each performance sounds. I'm not saying you can't like one over the other, but you can't really comment on an actor's performance from a language you are not familiar with. These are my 2 cents on the matter.
Oh the JP voice actors' skill of saihara's character is great. I just think the voice is slightly too girly sounding (even though the hajime's and naegi's were females as well, they sounded very boyish). As well as kokichi's in the eng dub is great but his voice is slightly too mature for his character. You can be a great voice actor but you can't manipulate your voice to go outside of its pitch boundaries without sounding fake as hell.

Tbh how can anyone say that Saihara’s English voice is better anyway? He sounds overly masculine, but also lacking in emotional depth, which, divisive as he can be, is absolutely not Shuichi. The Japanese may be effeminate, but she exudes such a deep emotional character, which builds into something really powerful at the end of the game. I just don’t seen how the English guy can be considered superior to that.

I’d honestly like to see someone incorporate this mechanic into the other game trials. Like who would be on which side, what would they argue, or what would their side pictures look like? I would love to see fan art of that.

(Ibuki) (Hiyoko) 4th trial: From which side is the killer? (grape house) (strawberry house) 5th trial: What will we do with the bagels? (eat it) (put it on komaeda's grave)
I love the energy of those debates so much, favorite part of the class trials! But honestly the fact that Shuichi (the protagonist!) is also on the wrong side quite often, is so clever because even he can be deceived and we can't trust every of his assumptions (as players).

Jun Kurosu Naegi and Hajime were voiced by female VAs. Anyway, this voice is more suited to Shuichi cause he was meant to be secluded, shy and non-assertive. This made it more impacting especially in the final trial when he finally gets very assertive and mad because of the revelation. But I guess, some people prefer inferior eng dubs. KirbyKips I personally agree 100%. They refined all of the elements perfectly. Hangman's Gambit is awesome now. Psyche Taxi is better than Logic Dive (though I prefer the LD music more). AA beat BTB and PTA (even if HYPER ULTRA PTA is my favorite track in the main series). And Scrum Debates are no doubt the best addition.
Caden Bass hangmans gambit mechanic was better than the last one but still it was tedious. They should use that mini game only when looking for very specific nouns.
Psyche Taxi was shit. I preferred Logic Dive.
AA was the one that was godly refined. I never thought I would finally enjoy that minigame, though BTB wasnt that bad

Debate Scrums seem to be really, REALLY easy. What if they instead of matching words that are the same, you have to pick words RELATING to their statements? That way you have to think alot more also rasing the difficulty and simulation of a real debate. I think this mode could be very improved.

Both of Shuichi's voices are really good and they suit him for different reasons. George Grant's sort of nasally deeper voice suits his awkwardness but he also does a great job at making him sound more confident as the story goes on, considering Shuichi grows stronger, little by little-but he still keeps a pessimistic touch. Megumi Hayashibara's voice suits him in how weak-willed and soft he is. They both have their pros and cons but they both suit him extremely well, imo.

To the people complaining why Shuichi is being voiced by a female character for JP:
1) This isn't the first time it has happened. Naegi was voiced by Megumi Oogata, Hinata by Minami Takayama and now Shuichi by Megumi Hayashibara. All LEGENDARY seiyuus, Hayashibara's known as the seiyuu goddess in Japan, for one.
2) A different interpretation does not mean it is a worse performance. Hayashibara's Saihara exudes more of the "moe" factor he has come to be so popular about in Japan, especially since he is an anxious, insecure and more effeminate in contrast to the loud, confident, masculine Kaito.
3) If anything, Hayashibara put in more nuance and units in Saihara's voice in order to emphasize his anxiety-ridden character, hence why people would say her performance is "weaker" compared to JP when it's totally not. Grant George's interpretation focus more on him Saihara's growing confidence and personality while still maintaining that pessimistic nature, where people call his performance "flat" and "emotionless."
4) People fluent in both languages of English AND Japanese are the ones who can truly measure how each performance sounds. I'm not saying you can't like one over the other, but you can't really comment on an actor's performance from a language you are not familiar with.
These are my 2 cents on the matter.

Oh the JP voice actors' skill of saihara's character is great. I just think the voice is slightly too girly sounding (even though the hajime's and naegi's were females as well, they sounded very boyish). As well as kokichi's in the eng dub is great but his voice is slightly too mature for his character. You can be a great voice actor but you can't manipulate your voice to go outside of its pitch boundaries without sounding fake as hell.

Tbh how can anyone say that Saihara’s English voice is better anyway? He sounds overly masculine, but also lacking in emotional depth, which, divisive as he can be, is absolutely not Shuichi. The Japanese may be effeminate, but she exudes such a deep emotional character, which builds into something really powerful at the end of the game. I just don’t seen how the English guy can be considered superior to that.

日本語版の最原の声がいまいちみたいなコメあるけど、英語版のがこれじゃない感凄いけどな、身長小さいはずなのに180cmぐらいある感じの野太い大人な声だし（英語だと言語上ゴツくなるのもある）、日本の中性的な声のがキャラクターにしっかりフィットしていて違和感ないけどな

Anyways, it's your opinion. I only know the Japanese voices so I find them more fitting.
Jun Kurosu Naegi and Hajime were voiced by female VAs. Anyway, this voice is more suited to Shuichi cause he was meant to be secluded, shy and non-assertive. This made it more impacting especially in the final trial when he finally gets very assertive and mad because of the revelation. But I guess, some people prefer inferior eng dubs. To each of their own
