My high school did this play last year and during this song not only was all the actors on stage singing, but a majority of all the off stage actors, stage hands, running crew, props masters, and light board people were singing it with them. It ended up being everyone's favorite song. I was stage right's head running crew and it was quite an amazing moment!
My high school did this play 10 times. Each time, we got a standing ovation, then people started throwing $100 bills onto the stage. Next, we did this scene and everybody voted it "best in the universe." I was all the lead roles. I did the Macarena while standing on my head on the tip of our professional pyramid and everyone thought I was amazing. Then I proceeded to operate all the lighting and effects through buttons I placed in my shoes. Then, I won every single award and my rival diva threw herself off a bridge.
My school did this two years ago, and my god, I've been missing it like crazy lately. I have such fond memories. It was my freshman show, and the cast could not have been more perfect. Such a great thing to come into for my first year. I remember, since I was backstage, we had no cues to watch for because this was right before intermission, so we were in a big circle acting this out. I was always Aida.
Glendale high school did this play last year it was amazing they were the actually the first high school to actually do this play. Going there next year can't wait.

@Born2loveHorses i think written in the stars it more powerful becasue it shows what they are willing to give up no matter the cost is to them.
