    Perfect! Watching this video is like looking down on my engine as I work on it. Mine is an ecotec 2.4 and this is the first video that I recall where they show the ohms test. Brilliant!!! Thanks for sharing!

    You can do the resistance test before removing the solenoid to avoid the extra work in the case that it passes the test.

    Interesting. I wouldn’t have expected 1 ohm to be enough to cause the problem!
    Is the fix still good 10 months later?

    So if they’re reading between 12.1-12.5 do I need to get new ones?

    I can see the brown sealing gasket poking out a bit but I can’t get it down any further

      Try turning the solenoid left and right as you put it back in.
