I know right. Just blew my motor in my 08 LT. Putting a new engine in her as we speak with only 30k on it. She blew at 160K. Last owner kept it stock but didn’t take care of it. I was bringing her back to life piece by piece and maybe having to much fun with her.

My sister gave me her 2.2 lt, and at first I thought nothing of it but to use it as my daily for work. But then since I have body shop education, I thought it will put my skills to the test and my knowledge. Now I'm like wait what else can I do to this lil bad boy. Its only got 85k and this video opened my eyes to whats possible with this car!

Recently I got a 2009 2.2 LT in good condition with 70,000 miles. Initially, my goal was to just improve its appearance and maintain its condition. It now looks pretty clean and almost at what I’m aiming for. I just installed a K&N cold air intake and it motivated me to explore what else I could do. I’m pretty aware that this car isn't ideal for extensive modifications, but I just want to somewhat upgrade it, considering it's my daily driver for the meanwhile until eventually get a new vehicle. @@WramTheVinylGuy Hey, I know it's been a long time, but could you maybe drop some advice or links as to putting some forged goodies into the engine? I'm considering supercharging or turboing my 09 LT in like a year, I'm just not sure what I would need to replace and where to find those forged replacements. Yes, I am aware that turboing an LT is pretty weird, but thats the fun part about it lol. A couple of people keep telling me to just dunk a bunch of money into an SS instead, but surely it can't be too bad to change bits of my motor and just run some (relatively) low boost pressure. Like a K04 I mean.

I got a lsj intake from you guys and used it with my 2.4 setup m62. I kept the maf with the elbow the kit came with and duct taped the intake maf off. It works winderfully and added quite a bit of power compared to the old ebay intake i was running. The 07 le5 was made in january of 07 and includes the forged rods. No need to go internal, even with a tvs.
07 July and up le5 went from forged to steel rods, same as the 2.2..
If yours is 07 June and below, you have forged rods in your le5 from the factory.

Not 100 % certain, but seems like it could possibly work out, with the aftermarket ecu unit.
