I love repair videos. This is the type of repair I’d try too.

Mine is a harbor freight one. Same design principles as the Ryobi. Busted bearing. Ran it into the ground making spoons and rounding bowl edges.

Yea they seem to all be the same. My motor baring is starting to go now. I dont know what would be better, to just keep buying the cheaper brands and replace it every few years or buy an expensive different type and hope it last a long time.

Thank you for posting this I have the same issue on my machine and my hubby couldn't figure how to get it off either

No problem. It worked good for a few months like this and then the barring in the motor started getting really loud. I haven’t figured out how to replace that one yet. I’m sure it’s much more complicated.

Great video. I have one of these and it's good to know I can do this if I need to in the future. :)

Can’t wait for the other one to be fixed.

It got loud again. I think it may be the motor bearings now. I have looked into fixing it and its more complicated but not imposable. I just haven't decided to get a higher end one or just keep fixing these. I use them a lot for hours so it might be worth it for me to upgrade.

Heat expands metal which is what you want
