- In this video I describe how I made more than $15K making easy beginner woodworking projects with just basic woodworking tools and selling them for a high profit. I show how to find woodworking Ideas to sell and where to sell your woodworking projects. If you have any questions or want more videos like this just let me know in the comments!!

Most people complaining about the cost of the tools are the people that are not willing to put in the work. Great project, great video.
Not true.
You have everything you want
right now. If you REALLY wanted something, you’d do something
to get it. A lot of people say: “Gee, I’d love to have a boat”.
If he truly wanted it, he’d work a
second job or sell items to raise the money. Heard a high paid motivational speaker say that years ago. p
I hear you brother, I have some people I know that just can't be helped. Thanks for the comment.
He doesn’t want to sleep with you, sorry
@@beebop4333 ok then why complain about it and act like there is something wrong with people having tools?
I started with tools I bought scouting estate sales. Then I upgraded when I learned which tools I used the most, and sold the old tools for about what I initially paid. I'm a bargain hunter and I always find new tools on sale, too. Black Friday is a great time to find deals.
Couldn't agree more. I think its like other people have said in the comments, If woodworking is something you want to do you will find a way to build up your tool collection, yard sales, estate sales, facebook marketplace etc. If not you'll just complain about tool prices!
I'm 2 years into woodworking and i do it as a part time hobby. The tools I started with were a hammer, a hand saw and 2 screwdrivers. That was some hard work for a year or so, but i got it done. I slowly bought electric tools and started taking on bigger projects that paid forbthe new tools. Now I'm purchasing bigger shop tools off of the money I've made from the side hustle.
I'm proof that you don't need a big shop with $10,000 in equipment.
Oh, my shop is a 7 × 5 enclosed trailer.
To all those whiners. Stop criticizing and just go get it done.
7 x 5 meters I take it?
@@nedcramdon1306 My bad, I should have specified.
5 ft wide by 7 ft long.
That's 1.524 meters by 2.134 meters.
I wish the 5 X 7 was in meters. I would be a happy camper.
@@SageRosado You will get there. I have over 50 years in woodworking. Made a lot of money (Lost a lot of money).... Got into the Laundromat Business. And now have 3000 SqFt Shop. Sometimes you have to do other work to be able to afford your passion!
@@jameymikels1886 I definitely understand that. Noone is born running marathons. It takes time, dedication and learning to deal circumstances out of your control or abilities.
I would love to hang my Semi key and just work on my passion. But I know my hobby will not finance it self. Till then, one must continue to learn and grind.
Thanks for your kind words.
Thats awesome brother, congratulations!! It makes the success that much sweeter knowing where you started!!
I’m a very senior citizen that is looking for fairly easy craft projects. At my age it takes a lot
to impress me but you really did!
Great ideas, easy to follow plans, and you didn’t ramble on. It’ll be interesting to see what I
can do with these.
Cannot thank you enough!
And of course I subscribed.
You thanked me enough by what you said! Thank you for all the love and encouragement. I am really happy you found value in my video, it makes all the time making it well worth it!
Hats off to you for making coin from your ideas and creativity. Any of the haters are simply jealous of what you’ve achieved.
Thanks brother, I really appreciate the encouragement.
@@jascogoods But you also deserve a ton of credit for sharing with others. Thank you!
Not a hater ... but I'll never throw my scraps away again haha... don't think so but simple is as simple does
Nobody is jealous, OP is full of brown logs. Not making 15k no way jose.
Just found your channel today and within a couple minutes I was a subscriber. Thanks to a combination of your content and great humor, now on to some binge watching 👍
😂😂😂 Thanks brother I appreciate the encouragement!!
I had no idea there was such a market for so many simple products. Let me clarify, that I think the items you are offering look great, but how many of us make some little simple things for ourselves or friends, that we don't realize there is an actual market for. That Solo cup and marker holder is something almost everyone who has parties, cookouts, etc. could use - genius.
I used to think the same way! my wife and others have been telling me for years to make stuff to sell and I always said who would pay for this stuff when they can make it themselves! I think more and more people are getting away from using tools and they would rather just pay someone to do it for them. Thanks for the comment brother!
I love that you emphasized using simpler, less expensive tools to start out with. I am always saying stuff like that to people. Love the mountains, I have been meaning to make a set for my friend, got them all cut out, just need time to sand and paint them for her lol.
Thank you, I think people just don't know that because you see an expensive miter saw that doesn't mean you can't do the same thing with a cheaper on or even a hand saw in some cases. Good luck on the mountains, I'm sure they'll come out great.
I do not understand why people get all butthurt about seeing someone with a nice shop full of tools. when you are in to woodworking you LOVE to buy tools, at least that is the case for me and everyone I knew who is in the trades, not just woodworking, any tradesman will like upgrading their tools because it makes the work easier faster and better. I am a cabinet maker /cabinet installer and finish carpenter....needless to say I probably have more tools than the average guy out there that is just tinkering around. Lately I have been upgrading all my tools to Festool....totally unessisary and super expensive but they are just SO good it makes it an absolute joy to do things that I had grown tired of before.plus I have made enough money doing what I do that I can easily afford them so why not? I think maybe these people complaining about how many tools you have are those who 1) think woodworking is just super super easy and a way they can make money with no skills at all and 2)they want to make 100k a year with a hand saw and a hammer.....not gonna happen, you do need to invest in at least SOME tools if you are going to be effective at woodworking. I got started with about $250.00 worth of tools (30 years ago so now the same would prob cost say $750 - $1000) with that you can do something, then build on it.
Yes I couldn't agree more. Good for you brother, you are proof that hard work and dedication pays off. I have never used a Festool but I am so curious as to how well they work because of all the great things I hear about them. But I can understand the feeling us upgrading a tool and how much it improves the woodworking experience.
A good person who shares ideas to help others.
I take my hat off to you .👍
Thank you, I really appreciate the encouragement. I'm not sure about the good person part but I appreciate it. I have learned so much from TH-cam about everything from woodworking and fixing my car to cooking that I owe it to TH-cam to share the little bit I know about woodworking with the community.
Great vid. Lots of creators make content of "what to make" but its very rare to come across content on how ans where to sell. Much appreciated
Thank you I appreciate the encouragement and I'm glad the video was helpful.
Thank you, I know now what I’m making for the holidays this year. I’m always looking for something new and fresh to do for gifts so thank you for this video!
No problem, thank you for the comment. Good luck on your holiday project.
Thanks for the straight talk & the real info of getting started
No problem, thank you for the comment!
Love your sense of humor. Subbed!
I started my Etsy shop in April 2023. I initially added some bottle openers, balancing wine bottle holders, plant stands and such and got nothing. I added a bird feeder and squirrel feeder a few weeks later and by August, I was blowin' and goin'. I also added some cedar jack o' lanterns for Halloween and those did well, too.
I have sold over 400 units since I started. Not quite the volume you have done but my items take a couple of days to make, plus I also have a day job. I'm averaging about 30 orders a month and that keeps me just busy enough that I don't feel overwhelmed.
The point is, it can be done. You gotta do your homework to find a good product, or set of products, to sell, but it can be done.
That's pretty awesome! Perserverance and some hard work. I'm pretty well set up to start.
That is awesome brother, I'm glad to hear that congratulations. Yea Esty is strange like that, when It takes of it takes off. I think having a few sales under your belt help make everyone feel more comfortable, etsy and the customers.
great video thx for posting
Anyone can do ANYTHING they want to, they just need to want too, it don’t matter how small tools big tools they got it’s the wanting to do it that’s the main, thx for showing, new sub here👍🏻
Thank you, I completely agree with you. Proof is the videos you see from underprivileged countries where they are making the coolest stuff with the most jankiest tools. Whenever I'm crying about my table saw I watch one of those videos!!

Great projects simple and efficient!
Thank you! I appreciate the comment!
So cool! Great info, thank you! Makes sense people would copy considering how easy this project is. I can imagine less copying with more complex projects.
Thanks brother. You have a good point, its probably better to make more complex projects that have a higher price tag for not only that reason but also it may be more advantages to build less products for a higher price than to try to build a high volume of simple projects for a lower price. Less customers to deal with, less mailing, etc,
I own a table saw, radial arm saw, router table, two decent miter saws, several drills, a name brand pocket hole jig, several sanders, and countless other tools... For under 500.00.
WOW that is pretty good brother!! Proof if you want to get er done you will make it happen! How did you do it, garage sales?
Fantastic info, and tips, great video. Nice slice of humor too, haha. Gained a sub.
Thank you, I appreciate you!!
Great information. New subscriber here! I have a more than full-time job that keeps me from enjoying my shop. But when I eventually have time, I'll be thinking about stuff like this. The people that whine about tool cost have no imagination. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and talent.
Thank you for the encouragement, its appreciated. Those full time job things take up too much time! 😂😂 I enjoy making the videos too because its like being part of a big woodworking community. Woodworkers are some great people judging from all the positive comments.
liked and subscribed nice straight forward facts
Fantastic, inspiring content. Love it.
Thank you so much, I appreciate the love!! and your name is awesome!!
Glad I found this page, good stuff on here. Pay no attention to the naysayers man, people always got some stupid s* to say. I buy tools at auctions all the time. Instead of paying full price for tools to experiment on, you can find good starter tools to learn with and not sink tons of money into.
Great little projects.
Thank you, I appreciate you.
Good info thanks for sharing
no problem thank you for the comment.
Now i have to say anyone that said it took 10,000.00 dollars in tools to build those items is a complete idiot. Dont listen to naysayer they're not worth your time. Great video .
Thank you, I appreciate you. I don't let them bother me, i mostly made the video for anyone who really wants to start woodworking but thinks its too expensive.
Great insights and to the point. It is not only profitable to wwwork with the hands but fun, too...
Still have that dark blue Ryobi in my basement for mundane tasks when needed lol. It's not great but it does the trick.
I hate getting rid of tools, especially one that I used so much. It might sound weird but I feel like it got me through a lot!!😂
great video thanks
Thank you!!
I love your shirt. It looks like a great gift idea. XD
LOL I love the voices when you read the comments.
😂😂😂 My wife called me a dork for that!
I've got a wood knik knack I made years ago for a useful purpose..and it works very well.
I've thought about making them and selling but I'm a procrastinator..and wouldn't know how to market it.
I too am a fellow procrastinator so I feel your pain. I'm not sure what your product is but if you can incorporate it into a theme that is popular that would be a great strategy to help make it searchable. Also a lot of people make social media videos like TH-cam shorts, Instagram reels or tiktoks to get their products out there. if you're not good at making videos you could always use etsy's marketing features. You pay a daily fee and they advertise your product to the people that are already on etsy looking for hand made products. I did it and it is a good way to get sales and some reviews.
Congratulations, job well done. I’m following! Haters be hating lol.
😂 they sure do! thank you I appreciate you!!
Good video, best of luck to you 👍🇬🇧
Thank you, I appreciate it.
You are Awesome!
😂 Thanks, you are awesome too!! My wife said she's going to be extra mean to me so comments like these don't inflate my head!! 😂
@@jascogoods that's funny
It's obvious you make money to produce.. Kudo's to you sir. God Bless
Thank you, God Bless you as well! Is it my fancy clothes that give me away?? 😂😂😂
By making your wood grain go horizontally (< >), your mountains give the impression of layers you see in the earth.
I agree with you, that's why I love the stain instead of painting them. Its the same on the trees too.
Nice work bud.. but who’s buying these things for this much money??
WOW!!! Etsy is crazy.
Exactly. Best sales time is around the big holidays - xmas, thanksgiving, halloween, mothers day, valentines. Springtime - gardening items, Autumn - wintry things. I make & sell lots of things but i only charge for the wood. Example - birdhouse is $15.00, but i get the wood for $5.00. Three houses $45.00 per $5.00 board.
I used to tell my wife the same thing! she always told me to sell stuff I made on etsy and I would say whos gonna pay for this, they can make it themselves!! But you would be surprised how many people like handmade items but they cant or don't want to make them themselves!
@@jascogoods It is true. I dabble with woodworking myself and my wife always shows me stuff online that’s soooo easy to make and they sell hundreds of them.
I can’t believe it.
Well done. I would be deleting the baggers... people find it very easy to criticise when sitting behind a keyboard.
Yes I agree. I was expecting a lot more negative comments when I started making TH-cam video because of what I have seen and heard from other people. It was a nice surprise seeing how supportive everyone is on TH-cam. I don't know if its because its the woodworking community or what.
Good ideas. I got lots of free scrapwood. I went on marketplace got tools.
Great stuff, thank you. I really appreciate your sharing and breaking down the numbers. I'd love to make "side money" selling simple wood decor stuff like this but I get stuck on how much time and effort would go into VOLUME production. You sold 600 sets of mini mountains at $20 each for over $10K, awesome. But how many minutes/hours did it take you -- for each set -- to cut, sand, stain, paint, pack, and ship? How many sets did you ship per week? Did you make that $10K over 3 months, 6 months, 12 months? Do you have a "day job" that you have to work 8-10 hours and you do this on nights and weekends? I hope you feel like answering these questions but even if you don't, thanks again for this great content and please -- keep it coming! :)
The second you explained those Amazon gift cards - I needed to describe
😂😂😂 Thank you, I appreciate that!
Dang, I have that Ryobi miter saw!
We need to start a club! 🤣 The RDB Club (ryobi dark blue) Its a good saw but I gotta say the power of the DeWalt was like night and day!
Hrrrdurrrr has to be one of my favorite things to say and hear lol
I do a lot of wood work and I've wanted to sell on Etsy, what I need to know is did you start a business first or start selling first? It seems like many people sell on Etsy but don't bother getting a business license, that makes me concerned about collecting sales tax and not filing as a business.
For something like these mountains, you don't even need power tools. For $25 you can get a hand saw and miter box combo. Boom, super cheap investment.
I mean, it's gonna suck cutting all that by hand but you get the point.
Thanks for sharing!Question..do you clear coat or just stain?
No problem, thank you for the comment! I do clearcoat. I do 2 coats of a matte water based Behr poly.
Most of .y very expensive tools were bought second hand cost .e $1000 for $7000 In tools . I make segmented bowls and bowls. Bought used wrought iron tools now make both
Yes sir that's the way to do it, I think like a lot of other people have said, if you want to do something you will find a way if not you'll find an excuse.
I made the triangle book holders and decoupaged a religious icon on them. Gave them to my family (as a trial) to my family members who read all the time. No one used them. 😢 I do want to try Etsy as well. Just have to post my other work.
Your voice over on the comments made me sub.😂
🤣🤣 Thanks brother!!
I had the same problem with Etsy. People copying and trying to start a price war.
YES, I had a few people do that to me, just keep lowering their prices until its not worth making anymore. I just stopped paying attention and started just trying to improve my listings, product quality and customer interactions.
You always get your knockers 😉 If you put the effort in, you can get results. You get copycats, but I find they give up because they don't get instant sales or don't market themselves to generate sales.
Knockers?!? Go on.......
Thank you, I'm not sure if knockers means the same thing to you as it does to me but either way it sounds like a positive thing! 🤣🤣🤣 and you are absolutely right about the copycats.
@@nedcramdon1306 🤣
Same people criticized Norm Abram and his well equipped shop while undervaluing his ability to do.
That is so true, I never thought of it that way. Probably because I'm no Norm Abram 😂 but the way you said it is like if he gets criticized then so will I !! Thank you!
That's insane that there is that much available in the space, 18K, but the fine print is the 4 year's... but still great side hustle / hobby starting place...
I agree, although it was only maybe 3 years I was selling the Mountains. and I usually only sell during the peak etsy months October to January.
Great ideas Sir! Sub..
Thank you brother, I appreciate you.
Can I ask a question, how much of your day/week is taken up with making these - is it a full time thing, or a side hustle alongside another (main) job? New subscriber by the way, excellent video.
Thank you, I appreciate the subscription and the comment. its a side thing after work and weekends but some days on the weekends it was 12-16 hours just before Christmas then it drastically slows down a week before Christmas.
I love it! Haters gonna hate 😂
Thank you brother, I appreciate you.
Very nice! What type of wood did you use?
Thank you. its just plain ole construction lumber from home depot so its a pine most likely Douglas fir.
Dulb question but is your belt dander upside down. I have a belt sander but i always thought i needed a diff one to dand like that. Dad gave me an older electric but its wicked. Its not that old its just electric 😊
There's no dumb questions!! that's what my teacher told me anyways! 🤣🤣🤣
I often found people copying my work on Etsy so I kind of gave up on it and focus on my own website instead now. Haven't made many sales in the last year on Etsy. Guess I'm not a smart fella after all 😢
I don't know what you are selling so I'm not sure how helpful my advice will be. I had a hard time in the beginning on etsy too. I wasn't selling much either until I realized there's rules to the game of selling on etsy. (I guess selling in general) I started by just making stuff I liked and thought other people would like too but I wasn't selling much. So I read some stuff and watched some TH-cam videos like you are doing and I realized what I was doing wrong. You have to research what people want and what's trending and most importantly what people are searching for. If people aren't looking for your stuff then they wont find it. You have to put popular keywords in your title and for your keywords. So you are a smart feller you just don't have the knowledge you need but you are smart because you are here looking for it.
Thanks for your kind and encouraging words and for taking the time to reply. Yes I should do some more research on Etsy one day. I do think Etsy is harder to get working well for sellers here in Australia though. Many people I speak to have never even heard of it, some just assume it's a US only shopping site. Etsy spend our money on US advertising and push us all for free shipping which makes it impossible to make profit here.
Small projects is where it’s at when you want a constant flow of money
Great video. I love them. So all you use are 1x4s I can get at Home Depot?
Another thing to use are cedar or pine fence boards. Cedar cost about $3.00 & pine $5.00. They are about 1x6x6. Great craft wood.
Thank you for the comment. Yes just plain old 1x4s, and If you look they normally have a few 1x4s on their clearance cart in the lumber Isle for 80% off. When they get too bowed they put them there but they are still good for making mountains.
Why use a brush and not spray the tops of the mountains? I paint wood lures and rarely use brush. Just curious.
When I first started I was using a chalk paint because it had the appearance of a snow like texture. I did spray some and then I went to using a white vinyl like they use in the cricut machines. that was the fastest and cleanest.
Nevermind i went back n looked i wonder if i could fasten mine in a box n use it like that but up n dpwn 9n a wall till i can locate one of these. I have everything else. Its the one thing i dont have is this. But i loge maing stuff furnature u name it
I have seen videos where people take their hand held senders and make a jig to use them like a bench top sander. I bet you could find a video on TH-cam. I got mine from Amazon, they have some pretty inexpensive one on there or if there's a harbor freight where you live they have a few different inexpensive ones.
My question is simple, How long did it take you to sell this and make that profit? It could of been a day or several years, so how fast was it until your first sale?
I was selling other things on Esty before this. But as for the mountains it was only a week or so before I started getting sales. There seems to be a delay of a week or two when you put new products on etsy. It helps to pay for advertising through etsy, at least the minimum of $5 a day.
@@jascogoods Thank you for the answer. most will not answer that question and as i re-read it, it sounded rude but that was not my intention at all.
Message to the haters: You can make these triangles on a set-up costing less than $200 to start or even less if you find good used kit.
exactly!!
Used circular saw for like 30 bucks. You can make damn near anything with just that.
These are good products for Etsy..marketplace is full of widow shoppers that ask if it's still available and never respond..
yes I hate that. and now there's a lot of scammers on Esty too!!
This is very interesting. Why do you think wood mountains were so popular?
I'm not sure, I was also surprised how popular mountains were. I think its what they represent to people. I believe the wood mountain represents nature with the wood texture and the scenic aspect of the majestic mountains.
I’ve got the very best tools available, ten years ago and from yard sales.
yes that's the best way to do it! I'm always looking on Facebook marketplace too because yard sales are getting so hard to find good stuff because everyone is looking find and flip yard sale finds. You gotta get out early.
@@jascogoods I’ve been really lucky to have come across older folks that are retiring from woodworking and wanting to sell off their tool and equipment. Sometimes I leave with more than I went there for , such as hard woods like oak , cherry and walnut. Great for cutting boards. The thing is the old guys just want someone to listen to their stories. No problem, especially if their stories are interesting.
Where did you sell these at?
Sorry if I missed it, but the end bit about "I've made $18k selling these", did you say over what kind of time frame? Cause if it was 10 years that's not great, but if that was 6 months or a year, that's pretty good
no you didn't really miss it. I think I just said I've been on Esty since 2019 but I didn't say when I started the mountains. I had to do some digging but I sold my first mountains in Nov 2020. Then Then I was only open from October to January and I closed this year in January. so all together probably two years. but the mountains were only on item I had listed in my shop.
@@jascogoods thanks for the response, much appreciated
Good job. Is that complicated by taxable income and how.
thank you. It did complicate things because we had to do the long form to itemize all the deductions. You can get a reduced price subscription to Quick books. that's what I did and it helped to keep doing it weekly and not wait.
So am I understanding those numbers are one month's worth of sales? Does Etsy help set up the page? Thanks
No its a few years worth of sales. I really only sold through the holiday months October to January. That's the busiest time on Esty. I could have stayed open all year but it was a lot to keep up with and still work.
Have you got any videos on an easy how to start an Etsy account or site or whatever it is called, that would be helpful to me, I don't know about anyone else, or direct me to where I could learn from. Thanks in advance.
With etsy please be careful. They have canceled several people's accounts for bs reasons. But yes these are great ideas.
There are a ton of resources on youtube for how to open an etsy store. Here is a few links th-cam.com/video/Db-f3EicMpM/w-d-xo.html @KateHayes
th-cam.com/video/blZPBsTKxIc/w-d-xo.html @officialtburt
Here's a few to start with, If those don't work for you let me know.
I have that same bench sander. You know it's made by Bosch?
I had the ryobi and the wen. there are a bunch of companies making the same design but the ones I've seen seem the same.
I found a mitre saw and a table saw both lightly used for about $50 each. I lucked out though
wow that is lucky! what brand were they? There's deals out there you just gotta look!!
@@jascogoods Mitre saw is a craftsman 10" and the table saw is a mastercraft
"B'duurrrrr" 😂😂
😂😂😂
That was very interesting and eye opening!
I believe you said, "I changed to vinyl". Could you please explain what you meant? Thanks. JimE
Vinyl like from a Cricut machine. They start at about $150, but you can find them used real cheap.
You could hand cut a stencil and use white spray paint as an alternative
@@Waciglass 👍
@@Waciglass you could, but the paint blows under around the edges, so it would work for a couple, then the bottom would be transferring paint where you don’t want it.
I was using sheets of vinyl that is typically used in a cricut machine but I just cut them into strips and cut out the peaks with an exacto knife. I didn't use the machine and you can buy sheets of vinyl from walmart for a few bucks or a whole roll on amazon for less than $10. Here's a link to a more in-depth tutorial I made last year on how to make the mountains. just a warning , its a long winded video. th-cam.com/video/xhcTWeoEsfM/w-d-xo.html
I found your shop on Etsy today (7/2/24), but there are no items for sale. Why are not any products for sale on your Etsy shop?
I Usually only sell from October to January. Where I live in Vegas is really hot (111 today) so Its brutal to work in there in the summer. The busy time on etsy is September to January. Plus I'm trying to build up my TH-cam right now.
What venues do you sell on?
Mostly etsy but bigger stuff on Facebook marketplace and word of mouth.
So those sales were all through the last 5 years?
Great video! How much does Etsy take per sale? Thanks.
Thank you. had to look on their site so see the current fees. Every listing you post is .20 cents. Then when you make a sale theres a transaction fee of 6.5% and a processing fee of 3%. The biggest expense is shipping.
@@jascogoods Thanks. How do you do the shipping? Does Etsy have something set up or do you have to do it (postage, labels, etc.) Are there discounts from USPS for makes doing mass mailings or is it the same price as me wanting to ship something to a friend? I have noticed that postage has gotten really expensive in the last 10 years or so.
it's sad that people will steal ideas, I guess the only way around it is to build pieces that they don't have the skill to make.
We all steal ideas normally. We often have our own takes of stuff but it’s actually stealing really. And I don’t have a problem with it. As long as a diff take of it. Or you could think that its we just love the idea. And with woodworking, is there really a exact copy without templates.
Unless you invent something, you are stealing someone's idea. Every single part of woodworking and every part of our lives is stealing ideas.
Most people call this leaning from others to expand their knowledge and skills.
@@miss_mish my point exactly
@@miss_mish if you go on a website and copy someone else's work that is theft and not honorable, if you come up with an idea and it is similar to someone else's that isn't theft. use your own brain and be creative, instead of being a thief
@oliver299d so you aren't going to ever make anything with wood again because you are stealing someone else's ideas & not honourable. Got it.
Your life is going to suck if you can't do something someone else has done previously. Good luck living your 'honourable' aka miserable condescending life
What's up with your T shirt, I don't get it?
Is it an American thing?
Your ideas are simple yet effective keep it up.
Thank you, I appreciate that. Which T-shirt are you talking about? The first one my daughter bought me the second one says Hulk mode on is referring to the Incredible Hulk from the Avengers.
$10,000 shop tools? I have at least 70k worth of tools collected over 40 years. People complain about a lot.... but I did not realize they were that CHEAP too!
😂😂😂 WOW thats a lot of tools! Yea I don't get how they don't get the concept of building up your tool collection and building your own stuff. I justify the tool cost by the savings of buiding / fixing your own stuff!
Tools come one at a time I have accumulated a bunch
Me too brother, I have stuff that's 30+ years old.
bro why is there nothing on your Etsy site now?
I like making items like these but I really detest the shipping part of the equation.
Yea the shipping is brutal. Luckily I had my wife help me with the shipping a lot. One thing that helped with the shipping is printing my own labels through Esty so I only had to drop the stuff off at the post office. No more standing in lines.
Postal rates are increasing again. Unfortunately, they’re going to kill sales of low dollar items. It costs $3.96 in postage alone to ship a single CD, and that’s with the Amazon shipping discount. Etsy could be the hardest hit.
That is a lot of money. Is that after Etsy takes their commission? Or Etsy takes commission from that $15000? Either way that is still good money for a few days work. Ron USCG RET
Thank you for your service. You are very much appreciated.
Hey Ron, thank you for your service brother. I am not sure but I believe that number is before Esty takes their fees. There are other calculations you can look at on Esty that show you profit after fees but its for everything you sell. The numbers I was showing was specific for just the mountains and is the only way to see your sales on a specific item the whole time you have been selling it. The 15k took a few years to make. I sold on Esty mostly October to January because that's their busy season. this was just an after work hobby to make some extra money to fund the hobby! I didn't want you to think I made 15K in a few days.
@@jascogoods Oh yes I know that it takes a long time to get your reputation out there for quality work at fair prices, I still have a hard time selling my products.
