My husband had a stroke last year. He was blessed and it didn't have any long-term effects. I showed these to him, and he was so excited to start working on them. You have really helped him start getting back into doing little projects. Thank you so very much. I have not seen him this excited in a long time. Bless you.
WOW thank you so much for this amazing comment I am speechless. First of all that is great to hear that your husband is doing well. God is good! It is so inspiring for me to hear this. It is comment like yours that make it easier to keep making video's. I would love to see what he makes, I need to start a page where people can share their projects. Thank you again!
I'm a 64 year old man and I had to leave work because I was suffering from anxiety and depression, I really love the simplicity of your Ideas, I am reasonably comfortable so I've being buying small bits and pieces to start woodworking for about 18 months now but didn't know what to make or really have the will to start. I also have a laser printer that I used once doing a test and wrote a simple message to my beautiful wife. Now because of what you said about personalising simple shapes I think I might start making some bits for friends at first to see if they like what I make and then hopefully expand from there. Thanks once again and I have subscribed to your channel.
Thank you for this comment, it really meant a lot to know that I was helpful to your situation. One of the reasons I started woodworking was to relieve stress from a stressful job. In my experience woodworking is great at getting you out of your own head and into what you are doing. I wish you the best on your endeavors into woodworking. If you have any questions fell free to ask them. Don't put too much into what friends think of your projects. There is a market for hand made goods and just because your friends aren't into what you make doesn't mean a lot of other people wont be. You could make the best video game ever made but if your friends aren't into video games they wont be very helpful to you for advice.
@@jascogoods I really appreciate your help and wonderful comments. I hope to start in the next few months but there is something else that needs my attention at the moment and is taking up all my spare time. It is something I need to do before I start, I'm not trying to be cryptic it's just something I can't talk about here but I am thankful to you and everyone who have made suggestions here.
You have everything you want right now. If you REALLY wanted something, you’d do something to get it. A lot of people say: “Gee, I’d love to have a boat”. If he truly wanted it, he’d work a second job or sell items to raise the money. Heard a high paid motivational speaker say that years ago. p
I'm 2 years into woodworking and i do it as a part time hobby. The tools I started with were a hammer, a hand saw and 2 screwdrivers. That was some hard work for a year or so, but i got it done. I slowly bought electric tools and started taking on bigger projects that paid forbthe new tools. Now I'm purchasing bigger shop tools off of the money I've made from the side hustle. I'm proof that you don't need a big shop with $10,000 in equipment. Oh, my shop is a 7 × 5 enclosed trailer. To all those whiners. Stop criticizing and just go get it done.
@@nedcramdon1306 My bad, I should have specified. 5 ft wide by 7 ft long. That's 1.524 meters by 2.134 meters. I wish the 5 X 7 was in meters. I would be a happy camper.
@@SageRosado You will get there. I have over 50 years in woodworking. Made a lot of money (Lost a lot of money).... Got into the Laundromat Business. And now have 3000 SqFt Shop. Sometimes you have to do other work to be able to afford your passion!
@@jameymikels1886 I definitely understand that. Noone is born running marathons. It takes time, dedication and learning to deal circumstances out of your control or abilities. I would love to hang my Semi key and just work on my passion. But I know my hobby will not finance it self. Till then, one must continue to learn and grind. Thanks for your kind words.
That is awesome, good for you!! I think woodworking keeps people young because it relieves stress and keeps you active!! TH-cam needs a way to let you share your pics in the comments because I would love to see how yours turn out!!
Thank you, I really appreciate the encouragement. I'm not sure about the good person part but I appreciate it. I have learned so much from TH-cam about everything from woodworking and fixing my car to cooking that I owe it to TH-cam to share the little bit I know about woodworking with the community.
@@jascogoodsHEY!!! Genius idea indeed. One $$ saving - you can order USPS boxes in bulk that are delivered by postman to your doorstep. I shouldn’t admit this but lol I use them for projects 😂😂😂
I’m a very senior citizen that is looking for fairly easy craft projects. At my age it takes a lot to impress me but you really did! Great ideas, easy to follow plans, and you didn’t ramble on. It’ll be interesting to see what I can do with these. Cannot thank you enough! And of course I subscribed.
You thanked me enough by what you said! Thank you for all the love and encouragement. I am really happy you found value in my video, it makes all the time making it well worth it!
I started my Etsy shop in April 2023. I initially added some bottle openers, balancing wine bottle holders, plant stands and such and got nothing. I added a bird feeder and squirrel feeder a few weeks later and by August, I was blowin' and goin'. I also added some cedar jack o' lanterns for Halloween and those did well, too. I have sold over 400 units since I started. Not quite the volume you have done but my items take a couple of days to make, plus I also have a day job. I'm averaging about 30 orders a month and that keeps me just busy enough that I don't feel overwhelmed. The point is, it can be done. You gotta do your homework to find a good product, or set of products, to sell, but it can be done.
That is awesome brother, I'm glad to hear that congratulations. Yea Esty is strange like that, when It takes of it takes off. I think having a few sales under your belt help make everyone feel more comfortable, etsy and the customers.
@@kenshinhimura9387 this year I’ve averaged about $750 a month in deposits from Etsy. My shop is in vacation mode right now as I recover from prostate surgery.
dude, your video just inspired me, if anyone is actually dumb enough to make fun of your channel, then the problem is with them because you just changed my whole perspective on the way I have been doing my business. Thank you Brother
wow thank you brother, i really appreciate this comment. It is great to know my video inspired someone. I hoped it would be beneficial to people but its great to hear that my intentions were not in vain. I wish you the best and i hope your business is a success.
I started with tools I bought scouting estate sales. Then I upgraded when I learned which tools I used the most, and sold the old tools for about what I initially paid. I'm a bargain hunter and I always find new tools on sale, too. Black Friday is a great time to find deals.
Couldn't agree more. I think its like other people have said in the comments, If woodworking is something you want to do you will find a way to build up your tool collection, yard sales, estate sales, facebook marketplace etc. If not you'll just complain about tool prices!
Thanks man. Not looking to make money off your idea, but people thought I was the smartest guy around yesterday. My nonprofit did an information table at a Halloween event. I wanted something inexpensive for kids to do and cut up and sanded 40 triangles so kids could make their own candy corn. It was a big hit. I’m thinking same triangles for a Christmas table and instead of candy corn, Christmas trees! Great idea.
That is so awesome!! It really brings joy to my heart knowing that you were able to use these ideas especially since it was for kids!! plus it proves how easy some of the things you can make are since even kids can do it!! thank you for sharing.
My dad was an amazing wood worker. He suffered some health problems over the years and I’m going to try to get him back into it with something similar to this. Not necessarily to make major bank, but this will absolutely help him. Thanks for the ideas. Definitely won’t copy anyone - I don’t like that either.
sorry to hear about your dad, is he doing better now? Woodworking is so therapeutic I hope it does him well. I am so glad this video was helpful for you. Let me know how it goes with your dad and what you guys make. If you're on instagram look me up so I can se what you guys are making.
Thank you for your motivation. Tools needed: A piece of wood, a table and clamp so you can clamp the wood to the table. A pencil and straight edge to mark your cutting lines and a handsaw, some sand paper and some effort. Nothing is free, you have to work for it. People love to make excuses why they cant do for themselves. Great job making this vid.
I had no idea there was such a market for so many simple products. Let me clarify, that I think the items you are offering look great, but how many of us make some little simple things for ourselves or friends, that we don't realize there is an actual market for. That Solo cup and marker holder is something almost everyone who has parties, cookouts, etc. could use - genius.
I used to think the same way! my wife and others have been telling me for years to make stuff to sell and I always said who would pay for this stuff when they can make it themselves! I think more and more people are getting away from using tools and they would rather just pay someone to do it for them. Thanks for the comment brother!
@@jascogoodsI'm interested in woodworking but I am afraid of the tools and getting hurt. So yeah, I'm totally a sucker who would buy something "easy to make yourself" - because I can't haha
Thank you for your kindness in sharing how you made money. Shows you are a good person. God bless you. And the people that complain about not having the nice equipment you have are the ones that don’t have initiative to do work for nice things. “Haters gonna hate.” Forget about them
Thank you so much for your kind words, They are appreciated. God bless you too!! I must be blessed because I have had many more great people like you commenting on my videos than haters.
I'm looking to get started making wood projects on the side just to make play money for the wife and kids. I like your video. Same sence of humor. Made me smile. Thank you sir.
Thanks brother, I'm glad you got some value from my video. Its a good way to get the kids involved with the process too. I use to have my daughter and wife helping with different steps.
I am a full time high school teacher, and my students who know me best say that the only thing I ever buy full price is my food. They’re right! Estate sales, FB yard sale, mini nickel, yard/garage sale, free stuff on the corner that needs a little repair; I outfitted an entire starter shop (circular and jig saw, hand tools, and sand paper, even workable pieces of maple, oak, cherry, and teak) for under $300 after repairs. Where there’s a will there’s a way.
That is awesome, Thank you for sharing. I couldn't agree more and you probably know that more than anyone as a teacher. I am sure you have more than your share of unwilling students. 😂 Thanks for the comment.
Thanks for some great ideas! I live 2 hours away from any real town, and am a disabled veteran. I need something to do with all of my old wood working tools. Thanks again!
I’m not a woodworker but still found your video so helpful! Not only showing how you started with small items but also how to research and compare on selling platforms i.e. Etsy. And I also giggled at your dog leaving 😅 Thanks for sharing!
Just found your channel today and within a couple minutes I was a subscriber. Thanks to a combination of your content and great humor, now on to some binge watching 👍
I love, love, love your "down to earth", way of talking/teaching and your Honesty... I am following! You are teaching "mountains" of knowledge ... heart, soul and mind.
I remember when I did really detailed miniatures and sold them on Etsy, one day I was looking at phone cases for something different and unique-and literally stumbled on someone who used one of my incomplete miniature builds as the photo artwork on her cell phone cases 😂. Didn’t even use the completed version of the piece, she just stole an image of my half completed work off my blog and used it to decorate her phone cases for sale. That’s the moment that I knew people will literally copy ANYTHING and use it to make a dime 😂
wow that's crazy that you stumbled on it!! I think integrity has taken a backseat to making a dime now a days. I guess I didn't have it that bad compared to you! 😂😂😂 at least they took their own pictures!
@@jascogoods no, you really did get it worse than me because it impacted your sales. It didn’t mine, it wasn’t a competing market and no one has ever been able to adequately duplicate the product that I make. They do poorly executed copies with far less detail, but they aren’t have as good as mine or as detailed. A lot of clay sculpting and random oddball parts went into my miniature builds, things like old metal parts and even old TV tubes. Really really hard to duplicate down to the fine details, because I have days and days of work into them. Most people want a faster to make easy turn over item than that. I did it first the passion and enjoyment rather than monetary gain and it shows. I had the time and lack of need to be able to do that as an enjoyable hobby. I’m lucky in that regard. Because I did them well, I got published in magazines a few times. If you google in the images section “miniature headless horseman 1:12 scale” or “miniature candy trolley 1:12 scale” mine are the first results shown. The top few search results. So a phone case isn’t in competition with those items.
No joke, this is very encouraging. I’m looking to get into this category and not knowing where to start. It’s good to see that I don’t need to sell custom furniture to make money. I can sell little decor items and (hopefully) do just fine
I love that you emphasized using simpler, less expensive tools to start out with. I am always saying stuff like that to people. Love the mountains, I have been meaning to make a set for my friend, got them all cut out, just need time to sand and paint them for her lol.
Thank you, I think people just don't know that because you see an expensive miter saw that doesn't mean you can't do the same thing with a cheaper on or even a hand saw in some cases. Good luck on the mountains, I'm sure they'll come out great.
@@jascogoods the biggest problem is people dont know where woodworking started from. it didn't start with CNC, it started with axes and eventually upgraded to chisels, then hand saw, then powered circular saws. maybe a history on a tools lineage might help people understand that when they see someone using a $50k table saw that the same work can be done with a hand saw or even a chisel.
Thank you so much! I’m a very creative person but I’m not sure why I have the hardest time placing the things I creat for sale. But, this video has helped me tremendously in the sense that I can start with simple items that people love.
No problem, I am really glad you found value in my video. I hope you start selling your creations because its so awesome to be able to make a living doing the things you love. Thanks for commenting.
Good stuff! Sending this to my brother. He's been wanting to get into woodworking but is physically disabled and a lot of his ideas were larger scale where he'd have to hold and move heavy pieces but sticking to a smaller scale could make it doable for him.
I agree, I think small projects are perfect for your brother. Being creative with woodworking really helps mentally too and I would imagine that would be helpful in his current situation.
hello I would like to ask a question and please don't get me wrong. I am not complaining, putting your work down by ANY means believe me. I'm just TRULY AMAZED that anyone would even attempt to SALE such a SIMPLE object, and even more SURPRISED that ANYONE would even be INTRESTED enough to actully PAYmonry FOR such a simple thing. i am a beginner crafter at best and my friends and family are constantly telling me that I should put my stuff out there. And I'm ALWAYS thinking that it's not good enough. And after seeing this I must say, that I am TOTALLY SURPISED! Perhaps, I really should give it a try. What ever made you think that this project would acutually sell? That you so much for your time, and for sharing your art with us. Thank you.
I am not offended by your comment at all!! I too have had my friends and family telling me to sell my stuff for years and I also said "why would anyone buy this stuff when they could make it themselves" It wasn't until I saw things my wife received as gifts from coworkers that they bought on Esty that I thought well if they can do it so can I. One of the gifts was a piece of wood like a 1x3 with my wife's name burned into it! That's it, it wasn't even sanded or stained and when I looked them up it was being sold for $20!!! So I just started doing some research but I didn't start off selling mountains the first stuff I picked didn't sell that well so I had to do more research and keep adjusting the plan.
Single women. Let's just be realistic. Divorce rates are up there, and these cat moms like to buy things, and there is no man in their life to tell them they can make it for cheap. Also, we have lots of low-T men that even if they thought they could make it for cheap, they are too lazy to do so.
Hi. I'm a father of 5 from Malaysia. I'm currently jobless due to some problems. This really give me a bright start to stand back up and try woodworking projects. Thank you for the video. I will try to follow your teachings and guides. I hope I can earn some soon.
Thank you for your comment. I honestly have had a good experience here on TH-cam. I don't know if its because its woodworkers or what but most of my comments are very positive and encouraging.
30 seconds in I knew I loved this video! I’ve made random home decor but actually for wedding decorations. I used my dads saw and when my fence was torn down by a storm I made sure to keep the wood. Anyway the point is…I love this!
I do not understand why people get all butthurt about seeing someone with a nice shop full of tools. when you are in to woodworking you LOVE to buy tools, at least that is the case for me and everyone I knew who is in the trades, not just woodworking, any tradesman will like upgrading their tools because it makes the work easier faster and better. I am a cabinet maker /cabinet installer and finish carpenter....needless to say I probably have more tools than the average guy out there that is just tinkering around. Lately I have been upgrading all my tools to Festool....totally unessisary and super expensive but they are just SO good it makes it an absolute joy to do things that I had grown tired of before.plus I have made enough money doing what I do that I can easily afford them so why not? I think maybe these people complaining about how many tools you have are those who 1) think woodworking is just super super easy and a way they can make money with no skills at all and 2)they want to make 100k a year with a hand saw and a hammer.....not gonna happen, you do need to invest in at least SOME tools if you are going to be effective at woodworking. I got started with about $250.00 worth of tools (30 years ago so now the same would prob cost say $750 - $1000) with that you can do something, then build on it.
Yes I couldn't agree more. Good for you brother, you are proof that hard work and dedication pays off. I have never used a Festool but I am so curious as to how well they work because of all the great things I hear about them. But I can understand the feeling us upgrading a tool and how much it improves the woodworking experience.
because they do not understand what it takes to make things. They think they, too, need a lot of expensive tools because they have no idea how to make things.
I own a table saw, radial arm saw, router table, two decent miter saws, several drills, a name brand pocket hole jig, several sanders, and countless other tools... For under 500.00.
I like these ideas! My father died and left me a miter saw and some rudimentary tools. I just recently after two years since his passing started trying to learn. These seem like fun easy projects!
Sorry about your Father. There are so many small projects like these you can start doing and woodworking is such a good hobby for relieving stress. The best part is you get to create stuff that you can give away or sell. Thank you for sharing your story.
Now i have to say anyone that said it took 10,000.00 dollars in tools to build those items is a complete idiot. Dont listen to naysayer they're not worth your time. Great video .
Thank you, I appreciate you. I don't let them bother me, i mostly made the video for anyone who really wants to start woodworking but thinks its too expensive.
We all steal ideas normally. We often have our own takes of stuff but it’s actually stealing really. And I don’t have a problem with it. As long as a diff take of it. Or you could think that its we just love the idea. And with woodworking, is there really a exact copy without templates.
Unless you invent something, you are stealing someone's idea. Every single part of woodworking and every part of our lives is stealing ideas. Most people call this leaning from others to expand their knowledge and skills.
@@miss_mish if you go on a website and copy someone else's work that is theft and not honorable, if you come up with an idea and it is similar to someone else's that isn't theft. use your own brain and be creative, instead of being a thief
@oliver299d so you aren't going to ever make anything with wood again because you are stealing someone else's ideas & not honourable. Got it. Your life is going to suck if you can't do something someone else has done previously. Good luck living your 'honourable' aka miserable condescending life
I love your honesty! I have just started my own wood working little shop for my own enjoyment but now need to start making money so I can get more materials!
Thank you, I appreciate that. a fellow woodworker i know through instagram just got a booth at a festival a few weeks ago and made more than 3k for the whole weekend just selling things he made. so it can be done if you find the right project and people that want to buy them.
people buy things they like, like art and different décor to give their home a certain feel. I thing most if not all people spend their money on things that someone else would think is wasteful. That's the great thing about America, we are free to waste our money on whatever we want!
@@jascogoods Everywhere this is possible, but this is not good, quite the opposite. What good is it to destroy half a forest for useless items? It is better to give them something meaningful like for the homeless people living on the street, you support people who cannot afford an expensive operation that depends on whether they will live or die and similar things.
Just saw this video... Congrats!!! I know there aren't many jobs around... but this is a great example!!! Even I showed that to my son and he is interested in doing that! (Without copying) Hope he get the idea of what he can do to survive this world.
Thank you, I appreciate that. I have been telling my daughter the same thing for years but she just hasn't done anything yet. She's really talented in many different areas but its hard to convince her to take advantage of it.
I don't get why people buy 99 percent of the products I see on the market. I don't get why so many people pay so much extra money to have someone deliver their fast food. Why are people paying so much for clothing and accessories for their game characters? The better question for you to ponder is what can you make that someone will give you money for.
The most excellent way to come back and answer that question on the comments 😅😊 seriously though, you made some great points andni agree to a T!@jascogoods
I just discovered your videos and you've inspired me to get back into woodworking. I've invested a lot of money into my tools, but I took a break from woodworking - I'm more of a hobbyist. I not only love your approach, but the humor you add in. Maybe one day I can get my shop in order and start making may own videos. Thanks for inspiration!
Thank you brother, that makes me feel good to know my videos had some value to you. I'm still just a hobbyist but I think I'll always feel that way. I think the TH-cam thing is a great idea for you. TH-cam is another tool to help bring income for more tools and at the same time give back to new woodworkers the way I learned from other youtubers. I enjoy making the videos almost as much as making things from wood. Thank you again for the awesome comment. Let me know how the journey goes.
I started with the same Ryobi saw and upgraded to the same Dewalt! I hate the tool comments as well. I went to pawn shops and craigslist when I first started and spent about $300 total for a basic setup. My father gave me a 1980’s craftsman tablesaw which I fixed up and upgraded. That same tablesaw can be found on marketplace and Craigslist usually for $75-$200. People need to stop complaining and start doing.
That's a crazy coincidence! It was such a difference between the two saws! I wish I would have gotten the Makita though so I could put it up against the wall, the Dewalt needs too much clearance behind it.
definitely more consistency and yes some timing as well. You have a little control over those things so that's good. You have to be able to change with the times and keep ahead of the curve a little to get the timing thing right. thanks for the comment and the insight.
Never despise small beginnings i know people that have made major business starting on a shoestring . It’s not the tools it’s how driven you are to make your business successful
I started woodworking by taking a class at a community college. Once the semester was over I saved up some money and bought a used ShopSmith Mark 5 off of Craigslist for about $200. Little elbow grease and lots of rereading the manual later I have a working machine. I have had zero experience with engines and machine maintenance before getting it but I'm enjoying learning!
this is brilliant. and you are way cool for sharing. remember Norm Abrams from the original This Old House and The New Yankee Workshop series? i watched every episode just to see his workshop and his creations. what i love about what you have shown us here, is that i can create my own tiny fraction of a Norm Abrams workshop. haha. and your creativity is awesome. thank you.

@jascogoods We're slowly expanding out to an acre while we test out different ideas. I have about 11 acres of land total and we eventually plan on growing food on a out 3 of it.
I love the ideas! It's very refreshing to see a "beginner" video for items you can actually build without a ton of knowledge & expensive tools. It's amazing what I have built with less than 300 dollars worth of equipment. Harbor freight is definitely not the best it gets gets the job done on the cheap!
I completely agree. There are so many things you can build as a beginner on a budget, it might just take a little more effort and imagination but it can definitely be done.
Thank you for explaining this to me I'm put down for enjoying working with wood and always told that I am just wasting my time but I'm alone so much and found that it helps me with my depression and anxiety and aloneness 😢being told that my interest is garbage unfortunately I am ready to give up on it all but I wanted to say thank you for letting me know that just because I enjoy it doesn't mean I'm crazy
wow I am sorry that people would discourage you like that. Who would put someone down for enjoying woodworking? You don't have to sell anything to be able to enjoy making things out of wood. In my experience woodworking is very good for anxiety and depression. Its a good way to relieve stress. So even if you just made things for yourself and friends and didn't make a penny off of it, it is has still brought a tremendous amount of value to you. You just do what makes you happy and don's worry about what people say.
You might have helped me get out of my pain in the ass job and showed me how to make extra money and I can get a job I enjoy for less money but still pay the bills. Heading to home depot tomorrow
Thank you sir, for your honesty and tips. For me its the ideas that are the problem - I can recreate but the design gene is missing so I really appreciated your advice. Hope you make a fortune you deserve it.
WOW thank you brother for the awesome comment and the encouragement. My wife and family members really help me determine what works. If you have some people around you that can help with the creative process it really helps.
Appreciate this man! I'm struggling a bit financially and wanted to make a few extra bucks by making something with scrap wood in my garage, however I wasn't sure what exactly to do. I'm gonna give this a try I already have some ideas of what to paint on the triangles! Thanks so much! And I hope your sales are staying strong!
Sorry to hear you been struggling, I think a lot of us are lately. I wouldn't limit yourself to just the triangles. You should look through Etsy and try to find other ideas that don't have as much competition and do a few different things. I wish you the best and hope you make some extra cash. keep lettings me know how you are doing.

@@jascogoodsI take it your cancer journey went well?
That's pretty awesome! Perserverance and some hard work. I'm pretty well set up to start.
That is awesome brother, I'm glad to hear that congratulations. Yea Esty is strange like that, when It takes of it takes off. I think having a few sales under your belt help make everyone feel more comfortable, etsy and the customers.

Great idea.

Thanks for your generosity in explaining this stuff in detail.
No problem, thank you for showing you appreciation with your comment.
But, this video has helped me tremendously in the sense that I can start with simple items that people love.

hello I would like to ask a question and please don't get me wrong.
Well after all these platitudes, are you actually going to make any of these sellable items ,or jus dream about doing it
Single women. Let's just be realistic. Divorce rates are up there, and these cat moms like to buy things, and there is no man in their life to tell them they can make it for cheap.
Also, we have lots of low-T men that even if they thought they could make it for cheap, they are too lazy to do so.

They think they, too, need a lot of expensive tools because they have no idea how to make things.

it's sad that people will steal ideas, I guess the only way around it is to build pieces that they don't have the skill to make.
@@miss_mish my point exactly

Little elbow grease and lots of rereading the manual later I have a working machine. I have had zero experience with engines and machine maintenance before getting it but I'm enjoying learning!
Love that story and that is a phenomenal price. Congratulations and thanks for sharing!! I'm sure it will bring you years of joy.
this is brilliant. and you are way cool for sharing. remember Norm Abrams from the original This Old House and The New Yankee Workshop series? i watched every episode just to see his workshop and his creations. what i love about what you have shown us here, is that i can create my own tiny fraction of a Norm Abrams workshop. haha. and your creativity is awesome. thank you.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate the encouraging and positive words. I used to watch Norm too on Saturday or Sunday mornings. I am glad you found some inspiration in my video that means a lot.
First time viewer. 15 seconds in and I hit the subscribe button. Love your style already!
Thank you brother, i appreciate that!! Plus you have an awesome name! Jason is my name too!!! 😂😂
Thanks for sharing, I am restoring an old aluminum boat and I will have some leftover wood (from the floors and seats and stuff) and I was looking for ideas with the leftovers, TH-cam suggested this video to me. I definitely like what you have going on here.
It must have been meant to be if youtube recommended it!! 😂😂 Thank you, I appreciate the comment. let me know what you build and if you are on facebook or insta you can send me some pics of your work.
@@jascogoods absolutely will!
No BS, very informative, funny, honest, and completes great work. Sad ya have to explain yourself to start a video now... but I loved how ya did it. Great job! New sub 👍🏻
Thank you, I appreciate the encouragement, the comment and the sub.

Thank you i appreciate that!!
New subscriber here... and I really enjoyed your video. Lots of great information and ideas. Thank you. ♥ Gotta go watch a few more of your videos now.
thank you for the great comment and the sub.
I’m disabled and thank you for this video. I am hoping to be able to do similar things to help with bills being the increase in our utilities and insurance is unbelievable. Seems all elderly are taking the brunt of this economy.
We will never give up 🇺🇸‼️
I am sorry to hear you are having it rough right now. Seems that way for a lot of people right now and we are all feeling it here in vegas too. If you start making stuff let me know how it goes. Thank you for the comment and God bless you.
Something i needed for inspiration selling my Handcrafted items and building new ones, Thanks and Congrats on the Video and Nice Ripper it sent the Dog out the Room!!
Thank you, I am glad you found value in my video and maybe a laugh too! 😂
Hats off to you fellar, regardless what others say, to me you're an inspiration.
Thank you, I truly appreciate that!!
Remarkable! I was thoroughly impressed by the sawmilling techniques shown. Watching those giant logs being handled with such precision is captivating. This video is extremely clear and well-made. Looking forward to more of your excellent content. Continue sharing these amazing videos!
I don't know what video you were watching but thank you for the comment!
@@jascogoods That's a bot account. Even if the references made any sense, humans don't write like that.
Thanks for a VERY informative video! NO filler, all facts!
Thank you, I appreciate the comment.
Estate Sales are a great place to find things to sell and also buy tools CHEAP!!!
TY great info.
Yea I have heard that before but I have never went to one where they had tools. But I have only been to a couple. Thank you.
This looks fantastic. I'm getting into farming and selling pepper jellies, but somehow this video landed in my feed.
This might end up becoming an additional hobby later on!
I have a video on how to make a veggie bin i wonder if that would be useful for you to put your peppers in. Do you have a farm? Some people with farms have a little shop where they sell handmade farm style items. Thanks for the comment.
@jascogoods We're slowly expanding out to an acre while we test out different ideas. I have about 11 acres of land total and we eventually plan on growing food on a out 3 of it.
I LOVE this!!!!! You are so clever!!!!
Thank you, I appreciate the comment.
“Ba’durrr” made my day! Thank you for the video!
😂😂😂 Thank you for the comment.
Thank you for showing both big budget workshop and small budget workshop.
No problem, I am glad it was helpful to you. Thank you for your comment.
Thank you for the info. Very cool that you’re willing to talk about what you do in your process. Thank you again.
No problem, I hope it helped. Thank you for the comment, I appreciate it.
Thank you for explaining this to me
I'm put down for enjoying working with wood and always told that I am just wasting my time but I'm alone so much and found that it helps me with my depression and anxiety and aloneness 😢being told that my interest is garbage unfortunately I am ready to give up on it all but I wanted to say thank you for letting me know that just because I enjoy it doesn't mean I'm crazy
wow I am sorry that people would discourage you like that.
I absolutely love your shirt! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Are you talking about the daughter shirt? I love it too, my daughter bought it for me for fathers day!
Wow, this is amazing. I am currently exploring ideas for what kind of wood products to make and sell. The mountains should work well in my local.
Thank you, I appreciate the comment. I noticed the mountains were more popular in some areas of the country. that was unexpected.
Good for you. Ignore the haters, they are just jelous.
Thank you, I appreciate that.
I was looking for something fun for my son to get started with and found this video. So funny! Thanks for the laughs and great ideas.
No problem, Thank you for the comment and encouragement. I'm sure your son will love woodworking. Its really good to start young.
Thanks for the motivation and encouragement. May God bless you more.
no problem, Thank you for the comment and blessing!
Yes. Thank you for your time to teach us your awesome ideas. All people care about today is making a fast buck off of anyone they can. It shows a lot of a person who gives his secrets to strangers without being a glutton and r----g people for money. Thank you again and God bless you and your family and your business.
Thank you I really appreciate your kind words. I am not that good! 🤣 I do get a little money from TH-cam for making videos.
