Beautiful quilt❤! Omgosh, prayer and hugs to this family, my 3 yr old daughter was murdered April 19th 1995...this quilt has me teared up. What a Blessing with Beautiful memories of this handsome young man.❤❤🙏😪 your such a Blessing in so many ways.

So grateful u recovered so quickly. I have asthma/COPD from my military service. I got Covid after Christmas last year and was fortunate to be able to take the 5 day medication protocol. My lung doctor didn’t think I would survive Covid. I am still having more of a challenge breathing with an additional 5-10% lung damage. Fortunately I can do my own breathing treatments at home and did breathing treatments q 3 hours for 2 months. I turned 75 on 7/11 and acknowledge God isn’t done with me

Thank you for showing the long arming work on the green quilt. Amazing how many different ways you can quilt, besides the tried and true overall (which I always get). My long armer, Linda, allows Cuddle, or Minky backing, but she doesn't love working with it. Btw, ❤ the quilting patterns and "extra" on the border- yeah, I teared up too. Back in 2014 or 2015, A friend from church was downsizing from a house to what would fit on a boat. She gave me a rectangular cutting mat and a few other odds and ebds. I had a lazy Susan that I bought from Ikea and asked my son-in-law if he could adhere the cutting mat to TBE lazy susan, which he did with contact cement, and cut off what hung over the edges with a router. I use it a lot when I make t-shirt quilts or when squaring us 12.5 inch blocks. And it's gone on a few quilt retreats up in the Flathead Lake area when I drive up from Missoula. I love the one you showed, but as a retiree, I make do with what I have. Thanks for your videos. They've been very inspiration me.

I’m 47 and remember romper room💕I’m surprised that you left a raw edge? Will it not come unravelled and fray? I’ve never bound a quilt with cuddle / Minkie fabric before. Memorial quilts are so special and helpful to those grieving. Thankful for you being safe and that things all have worked out. Hope you enjoyed your trip.🇨🇦

Goodness, you've had a time! I hope July is boring in comparison, except for lots of good things!! I got a light like yours a few months ago and can finally see things I was struggling with, like hera marks on busy fabric and the edge of dark binding that matches the quilt border! It didn't take me long to discover that I could use it when I cleaned my machine instead of kicking the foot pedal out of reach (hopefully) and leave the machine on so I could use the light to see into the dark depths to clean my machine. Whew, the safety inspector would approve! Romper Room, yes lots of people are that old! :oD Hope you are both completely healthy by now and that your trip was amazing! Hi I love your videos.. can I give you a suggestion.. you can it the video speed and keep your voice the the normal speed… first separate the clip you want to speed up, then tap on it and hit the detach button, this separates your voice from the clip you want to change the speed on.. I have had that flexible sewing machine light and love it. Mine cane with 2 holders so it can be used on 2 different machines which is perfect for me. As I get older, I need better lighting, especially at retreats or on vacation. Highly recommend it.

Man what a week you have had, they say things happen in 3s hopefully your in credit 😂 I too have just had covid the gift that keeps on giving I call it we went to visit my brother in law who had been unwell last few months, heart and stuff well we made sure to stay away from people the week before cause we couldn’t give him any germs 🤧haha but as you say life gets in the way. We arrived on Friday left on Tuesday with his gift yes you guessed it he gave us covid 😂😂😂 We are all fine but man life can be cantankerous. My daughter has ADHD we call her goldfish cause apart from chasing squirrels she accepts all challenges then promptly forgets the earliest ones lol she runs a very successful interior design business somehow the forgetfulness does not travel over into her work life thank goodness. I love your videos and laugh all the time when you chase squirrels it’s so relatable 🌼💙

I just ordered a new foot for my machine that is supposed to sew binding. I will let you know if it works on quilt binding. I have trouble getting the stitches on the back side of the quilt binding straight. Hopefully this new foot will help me. It's an inexpensive solution if it works! Keep your fingers crossed. Sorry about your wrist. Is it painful?
Enjoy your new foot for your machine. And yes, my wrist is painful. The solution for carpal tunnel is don’t use your wrist or have a little surgery. I’m trying to avoid surgery.🤣 TFW😊♥️🐥

So sad. Blessings to the family and to you for doing it. When I want to bind a minky back I just cheat. I cut the backing about 1 inch wider then the front, bring it to the front , fold over, and sew down as if it was a regular binding. Saves half the steps.
That’s how I started doing the binding, but then I would cut the Minky several times while trying to trim off the batting and it was such a huge issue for me. I would love to see it. But take care of yourself. I been seening a neurologist for 2 tumors. And I have had 2 strokes. But I haven't let them stop me from sewing. I take one day at a time. I may sew a little, then stop and go and rest. So I love to watch your videos.

I have a strip light I put on my sewing machine, yes it is Bright but it has a dimmer on it. There is several different levels of brightness, from dim to very bright and several in-between

You are so right, my daughter just twisted her ankle in her kitchen and broke it in 3 places and is in the hospital and had ne surgery, and has to wait till swelling goes down and another one probably on Friday. She has an old dog that is 16 and walks her twice a day and puts her in a cart some. She worries about her, she feeds her special cooked healthy food. She said don't be in a hurry be careful life can change in a minute. So true.
What a challenge 😳 Injuries on our feet are so difficult, I hope she gets back to normal soon. TFW😊♥️🐥

How did they put those pictures on fabric?
She took them to Walgreens where they had a printer and the fabric. However, there were two weights of fabric one was kind of crispy and heavier, and the other one was soft. I would definitely find out before they print them which fabric they have to print them on. TFW👍🏼😊♥️🐥
