We recently rented a Jeep Renegade Trailhawk while on vacation in Florida...the rental was for 11 days. The truck was on my radar to check out so when it was available to rent I jumped at the opportunity! So glad I did. This vehicle is great fun to drive. Plenty of power , steering is tight and easy and overall a blast to drive. I easily paired my phone up with the Bluetooth and enjoyed the it tremendously! I especially liked the text to phone feature which allowed incoming text messages to immediately be inscribed and spoken directly to me! The truck certainly received its share of looks...all positive...and people would ask me questions about the truck while I was stopped at a traffic light. Pretty sure its my next lease! A few cons I did want to mention. The lighting inside the cabin is much to dim and the lights are positioned poorly for the driver...difficult to read anything. There are NO overhead lights anywhere.. which is part of the problem! The emergency brake is oddly designed and I never really adjusted to it!
All in all I really enjoyed drivng the Renegade and would recommend it! Fun! 2 thumbs up
Got a 2017 jeep renegade limited. Had a full tank of gas and drove it 100 miles and was on 3/4 tank of gas. Very smooth take off and stopping.
I want this as my first car
Only thing I hate on it is the safety port on the gas refill port. It's hard to get the gas in if your not expecting to push hard for the safety port.

2015 Renegade owner here. Best vehicle I've ever driven. Bought a 4x4 limited in 2019. Runs fantastic, very responsive and despite Fiat parts, IT IS A JEEP. Not as powerful as its bigger cousins, but it does work and gets the job done.
Just bought the 2016 jeep Renegade 4x4. love it. Has so many nice features. love the way it drives. heated seats and steering wheel. has two pop out sun roofs. I could go on and on.

i tested one of these in 2f deep snow. worked flawlessly. only problem was stopping on ice. this vehicle is a bit heavier, so you need to be cautious coming up to those turns. getting started on the ice is fine tho. that 4x4 kicks in and you are off. i also noted that the b pilars are angled such that you have visibility through the windows. a little safer for driving. i wouldnt bother with the trailhawk tho. go down a model. you can get a standard transmission and the scrape plates can be bought after market. plus the lift kit can always be found for vehicles like this.
My little Renegade is on week two of being in the shop. Someone side swiped it before I even made the first payment. Couldn't resist watching this to get pumped to see her again! Lovely video about the nice quirks. People may bitch that you don't talk about specs, but anyone with Internet can Google that information as I did before I bought my own. The hidden gems was the cherry on top.

I've driven the Manual Transmission Version of the Renegade Latitude and for anyone interested, it only comes with the 1.4L Turbo'd engine. Autostart is not a feature on it, which means you actually have to insert a key and turn it in the ignition to start the engine instead of the push button start. This may also affect the door opening feature, though I haven't tried that yet.
I'm in Alaska, so the Cold Weather II option is a must (heated steering wheel, defrosting wipers, and heated front seats). The power My Sky is awesome as well with two roof panels that can be removed and stored in a pouch in the cargo area.

I just bought the 2015 Renegade Limited. It's FWD and I don't see any reviews of how well it does in the snow. I opted out of the 4WD due to less gas mileage and higher insurance rates. Hope I won't be disappointed with it's performance in the snow. So far, I am very happy with it. Your video was very good.

No problems but we'll see what this winter brings. I just might purchase snow tires to give it a boost in the snow.

If your going to spend the money and will be driving in snow I would suggest the 4x4 for sure.. Gas mileage wasn't that much lower for the 4x4 renegade.
Yo, you need 4 wheel drive. I live in NJ, we get hit with snow like crazy. Take that back and get the 4WD.

I just got a 2015 jeep renegade in cherry red it looks like a toy it’s so cute I really enjoyed your video explaining all of the features it feels different to drive having a Monte Carlo I’m having a lot of fun driving it the gas mileage is really good. The Only problem I’m having and it’s not jeeps fault is it I had to buy sea covers because I have dogs and it’s fairly difficult putting the back seat covers on

The 2016 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk SUV has a recurring power seat problem that prevents the use of the 8-way and lumbar functions. The problem causes the driver seat to freeze and lock into a position on the seat floor tracks. This could create a serious problem in the event of an emergency. The dealer service department is clueless on fixing the problem.

The Renegade doesn't have a CD player. This might not concern others but for me I have a ton of CD's that I like to listen to when I'm in the car. Are they becoming a thing of the past now?
+TuAnh Duong Yes I think CD players will be less common going forward. You can rip all your CDs and put them on one flash drive. Organize the songs in folders to find the song you want faster. All the songs from your CDs will fit in your pocket and never risk getting scratched.

I test drove one and I really liked it, it was the 1.4 Turbo 6sp with 4wd. But I can't help but wonder how all those stupid design gimmicks increased the cost of the car.
It has the easter eggs to distract from the fact that this is really a fiat.

Hello, thank you for making this video. I just purchased my first Jeep Renegade Limited today even though it's a 2015 with 85000 miles. My truck was totaled by the insurance company. I'm hoping to be very pleased with the vehicle. I'm also going to be towing a dual Jet ski trailer totaling 1750 pounds. There are a lot of features in this vehicle and I think it was well engineered. Could you advise any recommendations that I should address or procedures that I should do? Also, is the power port in the cargo area hot all the time or just when the vehicle is running? Thank you for your time and the great videos. Rodney
How high do they have the air intake? Can you ride through water, like i can with my Liberty.
I want this as my next vehicle, I had the chance to sit inside bright orange one and I was impressed. Seeing as though it comes equipped with its own navigation system, would it make sense to try to install Android auto if there was an option to?

If you're inside the car with the key and you lock the doors, can someone still open the door(s) since the key is near?
No. The key has to be on the outside of the vehicle to unlock the door. The system can tell where the key is.

+SuperBubba360 The back seats have the LATCH system and the appear big enough for a baby seat... I don't have any experience putting one in this vehicle though.

so hard that my foot hur it takes a while to speed up one thing i love it that it told me to slow down when i got up to 85 i was like okk i like my jeep

+qwevasdef you can get one with 4x4, it's the step up. Most jeeps come in either AWD or 4WD models.
Mike, I hope you get this. We bought a 2016Renegade, previously owned and certified. However the radio needed to be replaced. It was and now we can't set the time. Also the Odometer reading is constantly blinking under the Speedometer screen. We tried the manual, but it's like reading in another language. I tried looking at videos but nothing helps. Any ideas ? Thank you !
Just say the Jeep has a built-in inverter for running 110volt AC gear, like a computer etc.

well if anyone else was looking for info on using the key you can't its only for unlocking the door. I called the dealership and that's what they told me. If your car is 2014 or older u can pop out the push button and the key can go in the but anything newer doesn't have a key hole sorry
how do they hold up? I've wanted a jeep sense I was little. But now every mechanic I talk to says they are horrible. I keep getting told they have loads of electrical problems.

I have my heart set on buying a 2015 Toyota Camry SE, but when I passed the dealership in my town I seen these were cheaper, I know Toyota is known for their durability can anyone tell me about the durability of the Jeep Renegade and the gas mileage compared to the Camry.
stick with toyota..they are more reliable and have better resale too...jeep does not have either...why do you think chrysler got toppled out of the BIG THREE not too long ago???

i have a liberty jeep, 2005 model i just bought, though it was a used car due to no much cash on me to go for a new one, however, those who don't really understand the system in my country Nigeria will tell you the car always have electrical problems, but that is not true, the truth about that is, you need to take your car to only an engineer who specializes on American cars, but in most cases they take to Japanese engineers, and the result always turn out negative,
the truth is liberty jeep is a reliable machine.

I’m watching this in 2023 and my fiancé has a 2015 Latitude as well in orange.., I noticed on the passengers side front door that the fabric near the handle to close the door is separating from under the plastic.., I thought his was doing it because of age.

Thanks for posting I have the 2016 w/the same key fob, my question is, by touching the drivers back side of door handle isn't it supposed to unlock the back doors like the passanger side? I need to manually open the door & press the unlock button.
There may be a setting on the main screen to allow for all doors to unlock when you touch the door handle but I wouldn't recommend it for safety reasons.
