Drastically reducing caffeine and sugar is very important when recovering from an anxiety problem. And most importantly is watch how you talk to yourself. Negative self talk is the root problem when it comes to anxiety and depression

    • @breakmanradio2530
      @breakmanradio2530  2 ปีที่แล้ว

I agree with everything except the caffeine part. If you think caffeine might be exacerbating your anxiety, you clean clear that up with some simple L-theanine. Which is found naturally in green tea. Or you can take it as a supplement every day with black coffee or bulletproof coffee. Coffee and tea (especially green tea) are excellent sources of antioxidants. I wouldn't remove them from my diet unless I had some sort of abnormal reaction.

I fixed my negative self talk with REBT writing exercises. I read a New Guide to Rational Living by Dr. Albert Ellis and implemented his practices of my own accord. Competent therapists are difficult to find. Most won't teach you how to replace negative self talk with rational thoughts. Or how to change your behavior.

I have been taking valerian root and passion flower, kava kava plus chamomile for years now. I use them interchangeably Since I was 27-28? Anyways.. my anxiety got worse worse as I got older and graduated from high school than when on to college. I made the honors roll and from there went onto taking klonopin which messed my life up bad. I couldn't graduate on time because I was severely depressed and barely wanted to study anymore but eventually I did finish my last class and got my AS degree and moved on to get my BS but am too sick. I ran out of my meds so had to go pick up some valerian root and passion flower. I'm feeling extra relaxed, serene, and calm right now without the nasty buzz you get when taking benzos so I'm happy valerian root and all the natural herbs still work for me. Anyways.. I hope your life is going better than mine. I'm taking things slowly.

I use a Skull Caps works great.
Chamaoline tea worked great too, I drink it when my neighbors busy music i can feel the vibrations at my desk and my senses were already heightened from anxiety so i drank it and all fear went away
I use passion flower before boarding a bus to a job interview, on the bus a huge panic and pressure on my head came out of nowhere and as quickly and huge it came of just disappeared and was fine that rest of the way.
I have valerian root but yet to take it. As the skull cap, passion flower, and chamaoline tea work great.
I also heard 80mg of lavender has been proven *superior* to a placebo in a double blind study on *greatly reducing* levels of anxiety in patients with general anxiety disorder

Ever since i took Probiotics, i am no longer much afraid of stepping out of the house, not scared anymore and those constant negative thoughts have disappeared too and when i used to drink caffeine, it would make it worse but now i drink caffeine and still NO NEGATIVE THOUGHTS, i still do feel like anxiety but only so much less which i believe is normal long as it does not affect my behaviour and normal daily life

Lemon balm (heavy sedation) and passion flower 5 to 10 drops give nice sedation for sleep. Use tincture for fastest absorption. I take magnesium glyconate or Epson salt bath for anxiety and b complex vitamins at the basic level, but the best one I know of are: rhodiola rosea and ashwagandha.

I use epsom salts in the shower since it's faster and more cost efficient. I just get my body wet, turn off the shower, and then rub the salts into any sore muscle areas for 10-20 minutes and then, like fucking magic, 30 minutes later all the soreness is gone!
Every person who works out should know this. It's crazy knowing 99.9% of people who workout till they're sore, on purpose, don't know there's such an easy way to not feel sore.

Also has b6 and magnesium, etc. I'm thinking the Valerian Root is what I'm feeling initially. Later the 5htp should boost serotonin and have more of a long term effect.

Also making sure my hormones were balanced. I have been taking fenugreek and vitex for that. As well as supplements like cod liver oil and nutritional yeast. Great info. You're a solid dude for being able to make sense of your upbringing and also taking initiative and keeping your overall health in mind when considering the prescriptions. I've been taking sensoril Ash and L-Theanine with Bacopa and ginseng for my own situation. Sensoril is very calming compared with ksm66, and the Bacopa helps with my anxiety as well but I'm finding the ginseng helps increase my energy and keep fatigue away that I noticed when only taking the sensoril. I'm finding many possible supplements that work for me and anyone just starting out should try to keep their mind open about other supplements, dosages, times of day for dosage, etc as the efficacy for you WILL be different than others.

I couldn't tell the difference with gingseng. I tried red Korean ginseng. Couldn't really feel or see a difference. But GODDAMN Gingko Biloba turns my brain on in the morning.
But yeahhhhh, everyone's different. You need to find the supplements that work best for you. If you find 12 life-changing supplements, you'll find your life has changed. And from there, you can add in stuff like exercise, team sports (the comradery is awesome, feeling like a part of the team is sweet), 4-5 sauna sessions per week, epsom salt baths, cold showers, no blue lights at nighttime, whole body vibration, biofeedback therapy, neurofeedback therapy, etc etc.

If you start off too stressed out or unmotivated to make any big changes in your life, definitely see a functional medicine doctor, or any type of doctor very knowledgeable about supplements, and find the ones that will help you get out of bed or off the couch. That's step #1.

The reason I initially started taking all 4 was that taking all of them together eliminated rebound anxiety from getting off xanax.
Also, using all 4 might be necessary for me since I want zero anxiety or stress. And I've been able to achieve that so long as I don't get into codependent relationships.

Hey there bro, mad respect towards you on breaking away from xanax and into natural methods. U rock, stay positive always, as you said the past is the past so let's strive forward.
As for me, I just recently found out that I have anxiety, probably started a month ago, the doc gave xanax and of cause it helped, however I wasnt comfortable on the idea of using it for a long term, hence I decided to try chamomile tea.
In fact i just tried it for the first time earlier today, and boy oh boy did it work, albeit it being to early to see how it will go long term, i will just stay positive on it.
The question i wonder is when u mention you are finally cured from anxiety, does it mean that you no longer need the chamomile and the other supplements mentioned by you?
Am I to believe that one day I can look back and say, yes I had a phase in my life dealing with anxiety?

I still use the supplements every day but I don't need to take them every day to not have anxiety since I've now done so many other things to not only eliminate my anxiety but to maximize how good I feel all the time. For example, I also use The Inner Balance HRV trainer, which has allowed me to essentially become immune to stress as insane as that may sound. Any time I feel stressed, I do a 10-minute session and it fades away. You can order one yourself and it comes with a 60-day money back guarantee so if you don't like it, you can get a full refund. (And no, I have no financial ties to their company lolllll. I don't have enough viewers to have any sponsors.)
Before the lockdown, I also hit the sauna at my gym 4-5 days a week and that just leaves you feeling profoundly relaxed every time. Sometimes, after a good workout and a sauna session, I would even feel a mild sense of euphoria.
It's truly remarkable how having anxiety led me on a journey to peak health. I quit junk food, which I consider a type of drug, and eat a paleo diet that makes me feel good and look good all the time.
This is all because I got into "biohacking", which is all about designing a lifestyle that maximizes your performance in every area of your life that's important to you. I highly recommend Benjamin Greenfield, Tim Ferris, and Dave Asprey for more info about all that.
I really need to make a video about all this lol. I just need my new laptop to arrive soon 💻💻💻👨‍💻

If you want to stay connected, I can provide you biohacking advice for free. I'd like to become a paid consultant one day but I need to prove myself with a few client testimonials and build a website first.

I love the Valerian. Never had any negative side effects. But everyone's different! So you need to try one new thing at a time and see what works for you.

I've been through just what you said you've been through do you think the pain from that causes our social anxiety?

Everything about ourselves whether good or bad stems from childhood. The window with which you have to make a good impression on a child is very short and will dictate the way that child views the world for the rest of their life.

Yes, being bullied, being abandoned or neglected or abused by one or more of your parents, various forms of trauma, etc.
Negative social experiences often inflict social anxiety. Of course, some people are more predisposed to it than others. I've met people who, for whatever reason, seemed to be born with the gene for resilience, and no matter how fucked up their childhood was, they came out of it okay. But such people are rare.
And then there are people who have seemingly perfect childhoods and no severely negative experiences but somehow end up with social anxiety.
Everything is an interplay between experiential, genetic, and hereditary factors.

I'm from South Jersey. We have a strange accent that is a mash up of a southern accent, a Philly accent, and a New York accent.
But everyone has an accent. We just don't realize it because everyone we grew up with had the same accent as us and we often don't pick up on more subtle differences.

Unfortunately, unless you have your own sauna, you're screwed right now. I believe the lockdown is killing people with these skyrocketing lifestyle diseases. People aren't working so they're drinking more, eating more junk food, doing more drugs. And the gyms and BJJ classes and all types of sports are cancelled.
