Been using it for 3 weeks now, I take it in the morning after coffee and breakfast , which is when my BP and anxiety tend to spike (mid mornings until after lunch). It seems to help anxiety and lowers my BP to a tolerable range. I took it late afternoon once and it made me too sleepy.

I drank 1/2 a teapot and I feel super sleepy even the next day. I also couldn’t remember my dreams the next day.

Upon waking I drink 1 - 1.5 litres of Japanese loose leaf tea, the last cup I squeeze a lemon in (I cool the last cup down so to not destroy the good stuff in the lemon and drink it through a glass straw), through the day I drink cups Passion flower tea and towards evening I drink lemon balm tea, the Passion flower doesn't have a noticeable sedative effect on me, I still function totally normally, the lemon balm however is an immediate noticeable calm, I don't drink this when I've got important things to do. Other things I do to stop anxiety is take Myo-inositol (vitamin b8) and thiamine (b1), I also work out, 3x a week resistance training, and 3x a week 30-35m spin class, I've gone from an average anxiety level 7-10 (out of ten) most of the time to 1-3 level

First day I tried it as medicine, I ate a small fresh leaf on a hike. Passiflora incarnata. Felt the effects. Nothing too crazy, but felt calm during my hike, & a bit lethargic, & wonky as far as coordination. Later that night I tried a larger leaf. I still feel the effects 2 days later. Nothing extreme, just more sleepy than usual, less anxious, a lil less coordinated. Making tincture, havent tried it yet. It definitely works. Harmala alkaloids within. If you have anxiety or trouble sleeping, its worth a shot. I dont think its something ill use regularly, as in every day, but its definitely something I'll use occasionally when I'm having troubles with anxiety or sleep.

Just recently picked up the Now standardized extract brand from Amazon to help with some anxiety issues, but they don't really mention whether to take with food or not. Was wondering if it will this decrease the effectiveness of it or not? Thanks ...great video btw

Do you recommend taking it in the day or at night if the tea box says it’s promoting sleep?
Also if taking this in the day would you recommend still having a source of caffeine such as coffee or other forms of caffeine?

I’m new to this herb myself. I left a comment that I just found some, and tried it yesterday. I looked at a bunch of sites to find dosage recommendations but they all referred to supplements. So I experimented and took a bite of half of one flower around 4:00pm-ish. I’d say at that dose I did feel a bit of relaxation without any sleepiness at all. I saw on another site (dr berg I think) that it also can help with adhd. I’ve never been diagnosed nor even seen a doc about it, but always suspected I had something like that. I’d say the half flower served to balance that problem a bit and that was the source of the ‘relaxation’ that I felt. Like it soothed my constant slight ever existing anxiety levels. It’s too early to say if it’s a keeper herb for me yet. I want to experiment with it for a few months before I make a final decision- but so far I’m very impressed

As a tea its two teaspoons per cup (8oz) of water, fresh or dry. You could also harvest from your plant and make a tincture. Check out the book herbal medicine by Dr. Sharol Tilgner for more detailed instructions
