    You can also use this spray wax/sealant on a lot of household things!
    1. Spray on a microfiber and wipe down your gorilla glass smartphone. It will repel fingerprints better and the glass will be as slick as it was when it was brand new.
    2. After cleaning (meguiars all purpose cleaner works well), spray wax your shower door and it will not fog and stain for a long time.
    3. This stuff makes granite and quartz counters slick and a lot easier to clean off.
    This synthetic spray wax contains no actual wax, just hydrophobic synthetic conditioners that behave like a wax. Incredible stuff. I love it so much, my only concern is that it might cause addiction.

      also use it on stainless steel appliances, just buff it in the direction of the grain. keeps fingerprints off

    This might be the single best detailing tip I've ever gotten. Tried this out yesterday: exactly the type of finish I've been looking for, super easy, no streaks on aluminium or nav. Thanks for the tip Darren!

    After watching this and your other 3 part series I bought the Xpress Wax... I gottal say that THIS STUFF WORKS WONDERS. I use it on my Black 2016 Accord Touring and it keeps the car both inside and out looking fabulous. I never would have thought to use it for the interior but I am so glad to have learned that from you. I really enjoy your videos and thanks for taking the time to make them.

      +Auto Fetish Detail I stille use this technique. It works great. BUT now I protect the windshield with ; I cover it a microfiber before I use the spray to avoid to get some wax on it. Because the wax protects the glass, yes ! But when it's raining, the wiper will be noisy because of the protection.
      I got the problem last time. So I use degreaser on the windshield and I clay it. No more noise.
      J'utilise toujours cette technique. Elle fonctionne vraiment bien. Par contre je préfère protéger le parebrise en le recouvrant d'une microfibre. Ca m'évite d'avoir de la cire sur le pare-brise. La cire protège les vitres mais quand il pleut, les essuie-glaces deviennent bruyants. Par contre, pour tout le reste, à utiliser sans modération !
      Quand j'ai eu ce souci , j'ai dégraissé le pare-brise ai passé un coup de clay. Plus de bruit.

    I just ordered this wax and can't wait to use it on our new black car. What towels do you recommend Darren? How do you keep your towels organized so you know how old they are and which cars to use them on. Thanks again Darren for taking time out of your busy day to make these videos for all of us I will be buying more products from your website it's the least we all should do to give back for all you do for us. Have a wonderful weekend. Paul

      @autofetishdetail  9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Paul Rhodes I appreciate it.As far as towels go, the majority of the cloths I use are the Costco micro-fibers. I have various types of MF's based on the job i want to perform; I choose accordingly. As you wash them, you will know how to separate them for work. I have 3 categories of the Costco MF's.
      Brand-new are for the pristine cars of polish/wax removal. Then once they have been washed once, they are down graded to lighter colored cars. Once they become soiled after a few washing's, then they are for interior cleaning, then once they are heavily soiled, they are for exterior cleaning.

    Hello Darren! Have you experienced residue when using the x-wax? I was using it today dusting the interior of a one month old car and noticed residue on the smooth surfaces i.e.. door jams, black and silver plastic on dash etc. I thought I remembered you saying you liked it because of no residue like the APC but I could be wrong. Thank you for all the help you provide us newbies have a wonderful night.

    Believe it or not...20 years ago I bought a leather jacket in Italy and the sales person told me to maintain the leather jacket by polishing it with NIVEA cream. Yes thats right NIVEA facial cream. Since that jacket, all my car leather seats are treated with nivea facial cream and it is an absolute gold. You get Rehydrated leather that is so soft and smooth. By the way ,I have never used it on a light coloured leather.

    Hi Darren, I have an idea for a video -- many of your videos help the garage detailer cut to the chase. But there are bits here and there. How about putting together one video for the garage detailer regarding the basic products they can use to save them the hassle of buying one, than other, than another, etc. I bet you could save folks a lot of hassle. Thanks for the videos! Shine reigns supreme!

    Does Meguiar's recommend or condone using it for all those surfaces? I keep my cars, bikes, boats, etc. mechanically maintained but I'm bad about the cosmetics and need to get back into taking care of them which is how I found your videos, researching different products. I've decided I'm going synthetic sealant instead of wax for protection; too many toys, not enough time and also want something like this for routine maintenance. Also, do you know if standard automotive sealants work just as well on a boat's gelcoat or do I really need a 'marine' product for them?

  • @Fakken28
    @Fakken28 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love your videos brother and all your tips. I just had one quick question or more of a concern I should say. Since leather is skin and it has pores, would using this wax on it clog the pores and cause it to dry up and crack? this could be a very ignorant question and I apologize in advanced if it is. im just in the market for a good protectant and cleaner for my leather. I just bought me a Cadillac with Morello Red Leather in it and it looks amazing and I want to keep it looking that way and prevent as much wear as possible.

    • @frankhujsa821
      @frankhujsa821 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, this is a very good question. Leather is leather, so we can think about how we treat expensive shoes and handbags as a reference. This application of synthetic spray wax is no different than applying a shoe polish, which helps regulate moisture in the leather tissue, blocking excessive moisture from warping it and keeping it from drying out and cracking.
      After cleaning, and before applying a protectant, it's a good idea to use a conditioner. This is what the wax will seal in. Lexol and Leather Honey are very good.
      Go lightly on the leather surfaces to avoid unnecessary build-up and transfer, and be super careful applying any kind of slickness to the steering wheel!

    • @timothybuchanan1611
      @timothybuchanan1611 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also remember that all the leather has pores but those pores are covered up by the clear coat that is on all leather car seats.

    • @autofetishdetail
      @autofetishdetail  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yoshi90901 Ultimately it is what the market can bear. I would look around and see what mobile guys are charging and what the shops are charging and use that as a gauge I have video coming up where I interview a mobile guy in my area and he charges $120 at a beginning price and then goes up to around $220 I think. I am buried with competition out here with endless mobile car washing/detailing grunts.

    • @JasonISF
      @JasonISF 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yoshi90901 I have just started as a professional mobile detailer here in Australia and I've based my pricing similar to Darren's. There are many others around here charging less and a few charging more, but I don't cut corners. After a few inquiries from "price shoppers" who ran after they say my prices I have had two vehicles (potentially 3) booked in today by ONE Customer. He saw the 'value' in my website. The cost of living in Australia is very high now so it is quite reasonable.

      Don't use a wax as a clay lubricant. You're claying to remove, while waxes add. A diluted spray detailer or a solution of soapy water are perfect!

      I realize this was a year ago but for anyone watching this video nowadays ONR makes great clay lube

    don't you need to let the wax sit for several minutes for it to attach? How is spray wax different than paste type wax ?

    • @cameroncrane3770
      @cameroncrane3770 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      it's supposed to work rather quickly but usually they only last like 2 weeks whereas my Wolfgang fuzion or even alot of other ones that are paste wax can last 6 months or so

    • @Killacorn
      @Killacorn 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      how do you know?

    • @cameroncrane3770
      @cameroncrane3770 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Killacorn what I do is I dilute alcohol with distilled water and spray it on one half of the hood and that'll strip the wax completely and then I'll spray water and test the beading because having perfectly smooth paint will still make the water bead a little bit but without wax the paint will try to hydrate itself by absorbing the water into the pores,so if it's similar on both sides,wax is shot,if it's still beading and sheeting on the wax side and absorbing a bit on the other,then it's still good or decent,i did it to my show harley once before I started detailing but now I only do it to test products, my Wolfgang fuzion lasts a very long time so I know unless someone stripped it or if it was hot,carnauba wax will bake off of a car,so a sealant in Texas summers is the best choice

    I dont see you using this product I hear a lot of talk but are you really using that on such an expensive vehicle?
    You switched sides to shoot video . You put wax on the other side in video but shot results on opposite . Why?

    Those panels are arrow-straight. I cannot imagine reproducing or bodyworking that complex rear quarter panel. Lets hope the owner keeps it 50 feet from all objects at all times.
    Stay gold.
