      @@RichieTheFoodie oh heck yeah. I’ve cooked a bunch of things and I’ve only had it for three days! 😂 I had a different thermo cooker before so I am familiar with how to use this type of device. Now I just have to get used to how much more powerful the TM6 is. Wow! It’s so much better in literally every way.

    Want to try this soup next, I’ve made the creamy tomatoes , and roasted red pepper and tomatoe ones , both lush.

      This soup is simple, but delicious. It also freezes really well. The tm6 really comes into its own when it comes to making soup. So, so easy! Thanks again for your support, I real appreciate it 🙋🏻‍♂️🤣RTF

    Did you see America's Test Kitchen video where they claimed the tm6 couldn't make hollandaise? I might have thought that if I hadn't watched your video explaining how to do it. Thanks to you, I make perfect hollandaise!

    • @RichieTheFoodie
      @RichieTheFoodie  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @falovepa - no, I haven’t actually. I don’t understand why they’d say that. The main reason for a flailed hollandaise is too much heat which causes it to split. The beauty of the tm6 is that it can hold a consistent temperature by itself whilst you concentrate on your poached eggs! Thanks very much for for stopping by 🙋🏻‍♂️😀RTF

    Hello! I wanted to ask if you cook meals without recipe and are able to sauté. Could you also live without the cookidoo subscription. I am
    Was very close to buying that tm6 but the subscription has put me off a bit and also that I feel like I am forced to used the recipe to get sauté functionality

    • @RichieTheFoodie
      @RichieTheFoodie  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there! Sure, you can use all of the functions on the tm6 without the need for cookidoo. It’s very easy to sauté. I understand your point regarding the cookidoo subscription. I’m not sure the tm6 would be worth the money if you’re not going to use cookidoo. I’m not sure if you’d get full use out of the machine, although I could be wrong 😀 If you have any more questions, please do ask. Thanks for stopping by 🙋🏻‍♂️😀RTF

      @@RichieTheFoodie thank you for the reply! And the honest feedback. I was thinking of getting it to resolve the issue of time and washing up. Plus having a new gadget helps you think of new recipes. When cooking from scratch the number of pans, effort and time taken are all factors to consider, especially with a little one. We eat lvegetarian meals in our household. I saw your video for sundried tomatoes pasta. Assuming you can skip the chicken bit and still use the recipe. I would probably had soya mince instead.

    I hope you had a great Christmas!
    I was just telling my cousin yesterday that soup is a great comfort when it's cold. (Disclaimer: I like soup pretty much all year round; same thing with hot chocolate. Neither is a comfort in July, though. 🤣) And this one looks really good, especially given that I'm a big fan of thickish, blended soups (plus, I can use frozen mixed veggies if I'm so inclined). We're definitely on the same page--roasting or braising ingredients prior to making soup to get that Maillard reaction going adds MUCH more depth to soups, as does using stock instead of plain water. You inspired me to bookmark this to my Cookidoo account; one I've been meaning to try is Garbanzo Bean Soup with Spinach, which I believe is what's being made here: th-cam.com/video/9l5axqMn9IE/w-d-xo.html . (I still like my TM31. 😊)

      @HotvoodooWitch - I’ve had a grand one thanks, how about you? Yes, my wife is a big fan of this. I batch cook it for her every couple of weeks and she has it for her lunch. I’m trying more and more veggie stuff on cookidoo and I have to say, I really enjoy it. Definitely just a little more effort sautéing and using stock results in a much better soup. It’s nice to hear from you again. May I say thanks for your loyal support in 2022. I wish you and your family a happy new year 🙋🏻‍♂️😀RTF

      @@RichieTheFoodie thank you, my friend. I did Hanukkah, which ended last night. I like when the two holidays overlap because it's nice when the two faiths feel good about things in general at the same time.
      I meant to mention that you should try to get your hands on one of these: th-cam.com/video/9907I8TKE60/w-d-xo.html . It's fantastic because whatever you're chopping or powdering doesn't fly up the sides of the bowl, so everything gets processed evenly. I actually have two because there's one that just fits the TM31. The company makes some really cool aftermarket accessories, just don't be tempted by the WunderCap; lots of negative reviews: www.youtube.com/@WundermixGmbH .
      ETA--A VERY happy, healthy, and prosperous 2023 to you and yours, too!

      @@HotVoodooWitch wow thanks for the heads up. I’ll pop over and check it out. I hadn’t realised there was aftermarket accessories available for the TM6 😀

    • @HotVoodooWitch
      @HotVoodooWitch ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RichieTheFoodie neither did I but somehow, there they were. That one's available in the U.S. but only for the TM5/TM6; I had to order the one for my TM31 from Germany. As it turns out, most of the cool stuff is only available in Germany, so it paid to order more than one accessory. They might have a UK vendor, so check before ordering direct from Germany. I think Amazon carries some of their stuff, too, so check there as well.
