- Hello everyone! Today's video will be about the Malaysian-spec 2017 Kia Cerato four door saloon with the 1.6 litre Gamma naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 128hp/130PS paired to a 6-speed automatic in the SX trim.
Below is the list of current Cerato four door saloon variants available in Malaysia as of 7th July 2017. I arranged it from the cheapest to the most expensive.

I just went for a test drive a week ago and I must say the Cerato is built very solidly, very premium feeling and I bought it after test driving it good car

@@immanuel86 very good ,4 months of owning the car no problems really love it , only down side i must say is that the Bluetooth on the head unit is really bad and the android auto only supports up to android 6.0 so meaning my latest android not supported .
How abt what msian concern, Fuel Consumption?
najibmahmud 87 better than my myvi no joke , 8.1L per 100km compare with my myvi 1.5 15.3L per 100km

The Koreans have definitely stepped up their game in the past 10 years or so! Even brands like Ssangyong are getting better.
Gotten myself a new one after series of test driving. I must say it's a good solid car packed with the features most Japanese cars won't give you easily in Malaysia at that price. If you are used to driving a Toyota or Honda's cvt you might want to take your time to adjust the torque converter on the cerato. Other than that, it feels very nice. when cornering it's well balanced and very stable. If you are trying to deviate from the usual toyota n honda kinda thing. Pls go for it.

So far so good, no complains at all.

@@keshinkabilnair4049 I can start by saying the interior and exterior looks nicer than vento tsi. Comfort wise the cerato has a lot of leg rooms front and back and not cramped like the Mazda 3. Pick up is good, breaks well, engine noise isn't a problem so is wind noise. Boot is one of the largest in it's class. It has a total of about 130ps while the vinto has 102ps. Tones of features for you to use. Seats are very comfortable. Sometimes am driving at 110 and it feels like am doing 80kmp. I mostly take note of the speed limit via the digital speedometer because it doesn't feel like you are speeding. It feel very calm .

Would you go for a 1.6 or 2.0? :)
I would say this 1.6 SX is the best bet among the 1.6 KX, the 1.6 SX, and the 2.0. It has plenty of kit for its price and although the engine is a little bit underpowered, but it is still manageable. The 1.6 engine is also slightly more fuel efficient.
The only reason I'd go for the 2.0 is for the extra power, otherwise, the extra kit count on the 2.0 (sunroof, leather seats) are not that much of a deal breaker for me.
As much as I like Kia, if you ask me which Korean car I'd go for in this class, it would be the Elantra Sport with the 1.6 T-GDI engine. Haha.
