Dude, chill. Gunn knows what he’s doing, more so than you. Not every hero needs their own movie. Just the mains, which is what he’s doing. Superman is in a world where everyone already exists. No origin stories for everyone.and Gunn has assured us it’s a Superman and Lois movie, those heroes are his “work friends” like the daily planet characters are Clark’s “work friends”. They serve a purpose to the plot more than just making an appearance. It’s all in how you do it. I trust Gunn, who’s already done it with GOTG and Marvel.
I don't disagree with anything you said. I've liked everything I've seen from James Gunn and I have faith that he'll knock it out of the park. I'd just add, that I think it's fair to be bit "nervous" about James Gunns DCU. The Suicide Squad/Peacemaker/Creature Commandos/Guardians of the galaxy 1-3 all of them are team based and full of irreverent comedy. Those things do not lend themselves well to Superman "in my opinion. Plus After all the CW shows and everyone having to have teams "team flash/Arrow" I just want a decent movie about Superman. Not Superman and his amazing friends.

Snyder has a very narrow view of whats cool. While Batman's first issue had him wearing purple gloves and using a gun, there are decades of comics/cartoons/movies where he hates guns and will not kill. You can find an issue of a comic to support any version of the character you want. A batman who kills may be cool, but its less interesting (to me at least) then one who has to be more creative in taking down his villains. Same applies to most heroes. Not everyone should be the punisher.
