I swear this show was hoarders before Hoarders. I have to admit I like that they don't baby them.

I learned to clean by watching this show basically. Raised by an OCD cleaner 😒 I wasn’t allowed to do anything (because then she would do it all over even in the middle of the night). I just bleached the life out of everything, smelled bleach all my life 🤪. Now I clean with vinegar, lemonjuice, baking powder, salt. And I learned by watching Kim redo the rooms on how much nicknacks would be a good amount to have and still be ‘doable’ to clean. I was just clueless about the amount of time and effort it costs to dust and clean all that Boho-Ibiza crap and indoor jungle thingies
Kim & Aggie are my antidepressants. I love watching this show when I'm not feeling good. Their lovely personalities always boost my mood 😊❤⚘

There is something so massively satisfying about cleaning something that's caked in dust or whatever. I kind of envy some of the cleaning staff that get to clean these houses. I would have LOVED to clean that banister! Or power wash the carpets!

It was just what I needed: I also watch these shows and am motivated to do some cleaning but there's so much that can be/needs to be done even in my very small efficiency apartment that I can't get everything done that I'd like to do. I'm going to follow your example: work on a SPECIFIC area or task; have a reasonable goal for the time I'm cleaning. Something I've learned is that the evening time after supper is when I'm most in the mood for cleaning and most productive. It's just after 10:00 p.m. now and I'm going to do some housework!
I do shift work and sometimes let my house slip. But never to this level.
They need to strip the wallpaper and repaint.
Watched this as a child with my mother, reminded recently of the show when I saw Kim's lovely face on a line of cleaning products at Poundland! Put a massive smile on my face and been bingeing the show ever since. Bless these women, hope Dave is well.

I love how they make them clean a part of the house. If they don't participate they will probably fall back into the habit of not doing it. Its better they realize it's harder and takes more time to clean a bunch of dirt vs cleaning a tiny bit every day for a few minutes.
And, they need to be there to feel the shame. More likely to keep it up if they are ashamed of their past behaviour.
My daughter says that she wants our house to get that bad, because she wants Kim and Aggie to come over! Judging by the condition of her room, she's getting a good start on it. * teenagers *

Comment re finding a new love "If you look after the house you might look after them [the woman]". So true. A man who looks after his house probably looks after himself too, and other things he loves. As a biker it took me long enough to realize not all male bikers need to be scruffy with a manky house, and mid-life I finally found that biker man who has pride in his home and his appearance. I'd advise any man looking for love to clean up their act unless they're happy to settle for a like-minded woman.

I like this show- so much better than hoarders- I love learning how to clean using cheap products! And the results make such a positive difference!
After watching this programme I just have to go and clean something even if it doesn't need doing. My partner is a severe hoarder so I used many of the ladies tips to clean certain areas of his home. In the states the hoarders programmes focus on mental health issues and then the clean up. I enjoy both shows. Everyone deserves help when life gets this out of control.

Rigo Ramirez The house is on a military base, he worked in base. They gave him a house to stay cheaper than normal prices due to him working on base. He didn’t choose a 3 bedroom for himself, that is what was available. Don’t judge with no information, he was my father.
what is so strange to me is that after these homes are cleaned up they are really quite lovely.

I can't believe how ignorant people are .it could be mental illness it could be physical illness it could be people giving up on life because nobody comes to see them so they don't care about their house anymore there could be so many reasons .and usually the people that say this have a family to help they're not doing an entire house by themselves
Vinegar & bicarbonate of soda are good, however floors need to be steam cleaned once a week, & mopped in between times.I steam clean practically everything in my home as it really kills germs, & I also love bleach & disinfectant.

Okay this is the first one that I started gagging. I usually watch these while I'm taking a break eating my dinner or lunch. Seriously started to get sick! I can understand people having too much stuff and not knowing how to deal with that anymore. What I don't understand is people don't throw away their garbage. It's the minimum thing to do. DaWulpertinger, I have lupus, fibromyalgia, and scoliosis of my lumbar spine, so I understand. My house gets a little cluttered, but NOTHING compared to these people!! It makes me feel better, and I know I'm just a tiny bit messy. But if I'm cooking, my stove is cleaned, my dishes are clean, and my toite stays clean too. Mopping my floor is the hardest thing for me, but I do vacuum it. I can't stand for very long, and have horrible pain and fatigue; what are their excuses??!!
