I swear this show was hoarders before Hoarders. I have to admit I like that they don't baby them. I learned many cheap and easy ways to clean from this show. Wish it was still on the air.
I learned to clean by watching this show basically. Raised by an OCD cleaner 😒 I wasn’t allowed to do anything (because then she would do it all over even in the middle of the night). I just bleached the life out of everything, smelled bleach all my life 🤪. Now I clean with vinegar, lemonjuice, baking powder, salt. And I learned by watching Kim redo the rooms on how much nicknacks would be a good amount to have and still be ‘doable’ to clean. I was just clueless about the amount of time and effort it costs to dust and clean all that Boho-Ibiza crap and indoor jungle thingies
There is something so massively satisfying about cleaning something that's caked in dust or whatever. I kind of envy some of the cleaning staff that get to clean these houses. I would have LOVED to clean that banister! Or power wash the carpets!

I don't understand how people can just live like that. I often think my house is messy when I've left dishes on the bench for more than a day. or if i haven't vacum in a week. But now I don't feel so bad seeing this lol

It was just what I needed: I also watch these shows and am motivated to do some cleaning but there's so much that can be/needs to be done even in my very small efficiency apartment that I can't get everything done that I'd like to do. I'm going to follow your example: work on a SPECIFIC area or task; have a reasonable goal for the time I'm cleaning. Something I've learned is that the evening time after supper is when I'm most in the mood for cleaning and most productive. It's just after 10:00 p.m. now and I'm going to do some housework!

I love how they make them clean a part of the house. If they don't participate they will probably fall back into the habit of not doing it. Its better they realize it's harder and takes more time to clean a bunch of dirt vs cleaning a tiny bit every day for a few minutes.

A man who looks after his house probably looks after himself too, and other things he loves. As a biker it took me long enough to realize not all male bikers need to be scruffy with a manky house, and mid-life I finally found that biker man who has pride in his home and his appearance. I'd advise any man looking for love to clean up their act unless they're happy to settle for a like-minded woman.
After watching this programme I just have to go and clean something even if it doesn't need doing. My partner is a severe hoarder so I used many of the ladies tips to clean certain areas of his home. In the states the hoarders programmes focus on mental health issues and then the clean up. I enjoy both shows. Everyone deserves help when life gets this out of control.
My daughter says that she wants our house to get that bad, because she wants Kim and Aggie to come over! Judging by the condition of her room, she's getting a good start on it. * teenagers *

You do realise that for channel 4's insurance they have an entire medical team on standby? There will be masses of alcohol sanitisers and all sorts to clean them

Today is my surface super sanitizing day. All counters, toilets, etc. Dusting, vacuuming, washing floors. Also doing at least four loads of laundry. I love clean!
I seriously worry about myself whenever I hear the homeowners talking about how they just pretend it's not happening and they like collecting things. Those are exactly my traits and if I didn't have my keen sense of smell and very fortunate liking of cleaning I would totally end up living in a hovel:(

Vinegar & bicarbonate of soda are good, however floors need to be steam cleaned once a week, & mopped in between times.I steam clean practically everything in my home as it really kills germs, & I also love bleach & disinfectant.

I do shift work and sometimes let my house slip. But never to this level.

It's very complicated offten mental illness but in a lot of cases it gets out of hand and people are scared to ask for help .I have known people to wouldn't call the maintenance on their house because it was such a mess they didn't want the landlord to see
