Hi, thanks for this video. Very helpful. I have almost similar setup to yours, with one difference that is, I’ve a smart (Android) projector connected to Fire Stick. I connect the projector to my sound bar via Bluetooth. It’s a clean setup but the audio has a lag. Could it be that I’m using projector’s Bluetooth instead of Fire Stick Bluetooth? Since all my content is streamed by Fire Stick. Any feedback will be much appreciated. Thanks once again.
Yes, the delay is likely caused by either the projector Bluetooth latency, or the soundbar Bluetooth latency. Try streaming a video from your phone to the soundbar via Bluetooth to isolate which one is the issue
I am really impressed with this video I even saved it so I can come back to it I just got a Pyle projector and I wasn't sure how to get sound but now I know I can just get a Bluetooth speaker thank you so much
Very useful! For my budget media room I just purchased a sound bar on amazon that has Bluetooth. I plan to connect the fire stick to it. Didn’t know I could do that
The best way that I found was an 'FM Transmitter'. I set it to an unused frequency and then I just tune the radio on my old (but fantastic!) Technics Stereo into that frequency! I get full FM stereo sound, and if you ever want to REALLY turn up the volume then you can tune every radio in a 50 foot radius into the same Transmitter (my son watched Star Wars at full cinema volume using my Technics and a huge Boom Box, twas fantastic sound!).
This video is very informative thank you. So I have a projector that is wifi & bluetooth capable. I currently have my firestick connected to it via hdmi & mini BT soundbar which greatly improves the sound quality. However i want more of a sound sound. Any suggestion as to how to afforadable accomplish this wireless? Im thinking to connect a set of TWS capable BT speakers (im considering purchasing) to each other than BT them to my soundbar and BT soundbar to projector however I'm not sure that's possible.
Incredible to me how behind the times projectors are. Why aren’t there smart projectors with the same internal apps that your TV has...and built in Bluetooth to sync with accompanying smart speakers?
This was great, but I have a question... we are trying to create a backyard theater. I know it’s not surround sound. The wife bought me a non Bluetooth Sonos speaker, about the size of a small coffee can. It’s a few years old and doesn’t get used much, because of lack of compatibility and crappy sono software. It sounds great though... I was wondering if there was a way to use the Sonos and FireStick on projector? The projector has one stereo output , it has a headphone picture next to it... The Sonos has nothing... only jack on Sonos is an Ethernet plug in... I was wondering your thoughts?.?. I may just purchase a Bluetooth speaker, but wanted to investigate the Sonos option... thank you for your great video and your time!!!
Thank you for this! I just bought a projector for my room to save space and needed a better way to listen to my movies besides using the sound from the projector :) will definitely be purchasing a fire stick and a brand new ue boom once Black Friday rolls around! Chromecast and projector speakers for now..
I fully understand all these setup options, I am using a firestick. How do I get audio to my speakers when not using the firestick? ie blu-ray player or xbox etc? I have tried to hook up rca to aux cable to my aux line in on my echo 4th gen speakers to no avail! Not sure what I'm missing!
@@LifestyleLab_ Thanks! I did get it to work! There was a button (SPDIF) on my 4k hdmi audio extracter switch that I pushed in and it worked! But I have Sonos speakers here too now to try! Thanks for responding!
We are planning to hold a socially distanced - free community movie night in our town this coming summer. We will use a laptop and projector to show the movie. That said, do we need to buy an audio/video receiver in order to project the sound outward to a large number of people? At all costs we would like the event to have great surround sound. We are hoping to avoid the movie having way too much treble and no base which would make for a horrible listening experience.
Hi great and informative video. Does firestick support dolby atmos if so could I connect a dolby atmos sound bar via Bluetooth and get atmos sound. And if u have a usb port on your projector will it power the firestick ive heard people use it this way thank you
Surround sound or Atmos signals can not be passed via Bluetooth unfortunately. Yes, the USB port should be able to power the firestick assuming it can supply adequate power
Hi, nice video! With the set up of fire-stick and bluetooth on your home stereo, how is the audio transmitted from the fire-stick / projector to the bluetooth receiver? I noticed that fire-stick now has all the apps you want (disney / netflix etc) so there is no need to use your phone or laptop, so no signal from your phone / laptop. So if i'm playing off the fire stick - disney app etc, how is the audio sent for the fire-stick / projector to the bluetooth receiver on your stereo? thanks!!
Yes, that is certainly another good option! However I was assuming that most people considering these options do not have a receiver with an optical input.
Hi, thanks for the video... do you know how to remove the delay between my video beam and my sound bar which are connected using Bluetooth thanks to an HDMI Audio Splitter and Aux to Bluetooth adapter?

I have a blue tooth speaker and just need the speaker to connect to play the audio portion. I don't know what I need to get to have them connect. Thanks in advance if you have time to give any feedback.
Group 3 method A works for cable box, consoles and laptops correct? Or just follow group 2 for laptops. Also my receiver has a TV out option, would that work to connect the console/source to the receiver and the receiver out to the projector? Basically not requiring the splitter?

Great video for folks who have those scenarios. I’m hoping you can help in my situation. I’m wanting to use an Epson Projector to watch Blu-ray’s or watch football games outside. I also have the latest gen Sonos Arc, Sub and Play 1’s and a Yahama receiver with an HDMI/ARC and Digital Output. Inside the house, this is no problem going directly into the TV HDMI/ARC (although I would like to integrate the Sonos system with m existing Surround system somehow), however, how can this work with the projector’s single HDMI port? Could you respond describing the exact connections? I’m clear on the usual connects to the AVR receiver..How can I go from the AVR HDMI Out AND from the Sonos Arc for audio into the Epson Projector? I’d sincerely appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks
My dilemma: I'm working with projectors that have an "AV" output and a headphone out. If i try to connect to the red and white RCA plugs on the white/ red/yellow connector connecting to AV out, I just get a buzz. Shouldn't I get line-level audio out of these? I have to resort to using the headphone output, which overdrives my audio board. Should I be using a different adaptor on the AV out? Thanks in advance.
I would use Group 3 Option B… I have a Sony SXRD projector and a YAMAHA AV RX-A770 with a high speed HDMI cable with an Ethernet .. but I still can’t figure out how to get the audio/video from the projector and surround sound. I have a chrome cast plugged into the projector and the video works great just can’t figure out audio. Should I put the media source into the AVR instead? I am lost and could use any help here
Hello, thanks for the helpful video. I'm interested in Group 4 Option B. If I understand you correctly the Fire Stick can simultaneously transmit bluetooth audio to the bluetooth receiver and play video through apps (netflix, prime, I would be us Criterion Channel mainly) to the projector - is this correct? Just being double-checking. Thank you for your help.. Best regards, G
Hdmi Extractor for video, audio is connected into the external sources. Ps4 has a optical cable plugged in, cable box is running off of Bluetooth, and the blu ray player is hdmi.
Do you experience any latency with option 4 or does the fire stick somehow compensate for that. My plan is to set up the cleanest 5.1 system that I can using an av receiver . I have had problems with the sound being out of sync or buzzing when using a Bluetooth adapter with my av receiver
I’d suggest using an Apple TV for best latency performance. Keep in mind, Bluetooth does not transfer 5.1, so if you want true surround decoding you need to hard wire a digital format into your AV box
Would any of these methods support Dolby Atmos? I just got a Vizio Soundbar that supports Dolby Atmos, it has 2 little speakers a sub and a soundbar which connects wirelessly. I’m just wondering if all of the connections are Bluetooth, wouldn’t the sound quality suffer as wired is normally better right?
Bluetooth can not support Dolby Atmos, but your hookup will be very simple in that you will just need two HDMI cables, one from your source to the soundbar, and one from the soundbar to the projector
This man is saving lives! Thanks so much for the informative video. I'm going to try Group 4A with AppleTV and Sonos is Bluetooth speakers. Think that will work?

Hi, thanks for this video. Very helpful. I have almost similar setup to yours, with one difference that is, I’ve a smart (Android) projector connected to Fire Stick. I connect the projector to my sound bar via Bluetooth. It’s a clean setup but the audio has a lag. Could it be that I’m using projector’s Bluetooth instead of Fire Stick Bluetooth? Since all my content is streamed by Fire Stick. Any feedback will be much appreciated. Thanks once again.
Did you figure this out
Yes, the delay is likely caused by either the projector Bluetooth latency, or the soundbar Bluetooth latency. Try streaming a video from your phone to the soundbar via Bluetooth to isolate which one is the issue
I use an HDMI splitter, and it's definitely the way to go
i love the organization & visual guide, thanks so much
Thank God, after a long time searching, I found the right one 👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏🎊😍😍😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰🥰
I love your time stamps at intro!! Thank you!
Option 4-A, cheap and best 👍🏼
Very helpful video, thank you. And I love that Canadian accent (writes a fellow Canuck).

I thank you for making this video you save me some money.
Saved me a small fortune on leads thanks great review great sensible informative format
I think, this will be helpful for the most projectors......
I am really impressed with this video I even saved it so I can come back to it I just got a Pyle projector and I wasn't sure how to get sound but now I know I can just get a Bluetooth speaker thank you so much
Nice video. I like the Fire TV Stick idea, but doesn't that limit you to only playing content from the Fire stick? What if you want to play a Blu-ray?
Yes, the Firestick only works with the content IT is playing
I have never seen such an easy backup doityourself video before cherrs bro and thx a lot :)
I get full FM stereo sound, and if you ever want to REALLY turn up the volume then you can tune every radio in a 50 foot radius into the same Transmitter (my son watched Star Wars at full cinema volume using my Technics and a huge Boom Box, twas fantastic sound!).
man I do not do well with connecting stuff like this, super well organized video. thanks for you video
Informative and well-organized content. Appreciate it
Incredible to me how behind the times projectors are. Why aren’t there smart projectors with the same internal apps that your TV has...and built in Bluetooth to sync with accompanying smart speakers?
There is, just that they're pricer.
Unfortunately there isn't really a way to connect those older Sonos speakers to a Fire Stick. Good luck with your setup, sounds awesome!
Thank you for this! I just bought a projector for my room to save space and needed a better way to listen to my movies besides using the sound from the projector :) will definitely be purchasing a fire stick and a brand new ue boom once Black Friday rolls around! Chromecast and projector speakers for now..
This saved my butt. Thank you.
With the Firestick configuration there’s so way to use a blue ray or Xbox and have the audio transmitted. The Firestick can only send its own audio
Thank you so much! This video gave me the help I needed to get the sound on! Great job!!! Thanks again!!!
Thank you for the time stamps in the beginning! Much appreciated!
Awesome video! I'm going to try the same setup you're using. Thanks!
Should i buy the standard Amazon fire stick or the 4k model to hook up to the projector?
Hi, nice video! With the set up of fire-stick and bluetooth on your home stereo, how is the audio transmitted from the fire-stick / projector to the bluetooth receiver? I noticed that fire-stick now has all the apps you want (disney / netflix etc) so there is no need to use your phone or laptop, so no signal from your phone / laptop. So if i'm playing off the fire stick - disney app etc, how is the audio sent for the fire-stick / projector to the bluetooth receiver on your stereo? thanks!!
The Firestick itself can transmit Bluetooth audio
@@LifestyleLab_ interesting, thank you!!!
Great video man. Directly to the point and informative. Wish I had you on speed dial! Good day
Thanks! Much appreciated
Great video, this helped me a lot
Thanks for the video. One question isn't better to buy Bluetooth receiver with optical out instead of RCA? Talking about Group 4B.
Spectacular presentation !!
What an awesome video! Appeals to the engineer in me lol
You might notice a certain ring on my right pinky in some of my other videos ;)
Good video man! Really good
Hello. I would love to ask what you would do as I am still confused as to what I should choose. I am projecting digital animations for Halloween from my laptop through the projector.
Only group 3 will work for a cable box. It will also work for a laptop :)
Love the layout of the video! Clean!
Hi, I want to cast video from Dell laptop to Benq projector using wifi and audio from the laptop to Bluetooth speaker. However, I only managed to cast audio and video both from the projector, and if I connect to the Bluetooth speaker, I lose connect to the projector. Also tried hdmi cable to connect laptop to projector - same problem. Please give me and advice- the audio from the projector is way too quite can't even hear it. Thank you for all you helpful videos!
So I have old
Bose cinemate 130 system and projector. If I use firestick on my projector hdmi for video output. Can I still use Bluetooth adapter from my fire stick to the Bose console ?
You can, yes, just pair the Bose console as a Bluetooth device in the settings. However, due to the age of the speakers, you may experience some considerable audio delay or connection issues. Give it a try!
@@LifestyleLab_ thank you !! I am going to try and if it doesn’t, I guess time to invest on new sound systems haha.
Thanks
PRETTY IMPRESIVELY GOOD VIDEO BRO JICE KEEP IT UP
Great video man great instructions
I am lost and could use any help here
Yes, as shown in Group 3 option B, the source is plugged into the AVR, not the projector.
Correct
Great video, to the point! 👍👏👏👏
Bluetooth can not support Dolby Atmos, but your hookup will be very simple in that you will just need two HDMI cables, one from your source to the soundbar, and one from the soundbar to the projector
instead of using a firestick, would it be possible to hook up an apple tv instead??
Yes, Apple TV now has Bluetooth output capabilities on the newer versions
So for group 3, method A
Spliter connect to projector
Game console hdmi connect to hdmi spliter.
Then conect to receiver.
This man is saving lives! Thanks so much for the informative video. I'm going to try Group 4A with AppleTV and Sonos is Bluetooth speakers. Think that will work?
With Epson home cinema 5050ub
No, the Apple TV does not support bluetooth audio streaming
you could just use AirPlay to transmit the audio to Sonos
Hell yeah! Thanks man!
Please help. How about if it is 3 way? Speaker, projector and cellphone all with bluetooth options? Will the firestick work as a glue to connect this three? Thank you!!!
If you cast video from your phone to the Firestick, sure
Very useful information!
I have an hp laptop conected to an external monitor and an epson projector. I helped my mom push sound from whatever is playing through computer to projector speakers. By the way she is a teacher using teams to teach..
Iam trying to figure out how can she hear the online students talking on line through the projector speaker in classroom and also if there is a way she can talk to them through projector mic or something while walking around the classroom?
Those things will be configured from within the Teams call audio settings (output device and microphone input)
Hello I am just trying to do so I hope you’re still looking at your post… does the Bluetooth speaker have to be the Ultimate ear Bluetooth speaker? Or should any Bluetooth speaker work?
It can be any Bluetooth speaker or receiver
@@LifestyleLab_ i seem to have an issue using Bluetooth speaker when plugging Roku stick in projector sound just comes from projector. I have been trying to find was to minimize cords. I was wondering about the Bluetooth or adaptor is there another option?
@2M Views: Thanks for this informative tutorial. I am very interested in option 4 B (i.e. wireless option via bluetooth). I am currently using a Nintendo Switch. How would the whole thing work together?
group 3, Method B!! you need to config your audio receiver to just send image? or does it make that automatically??
An AV receiver will have an HDMI in, and then an HDMI out port. It will automatically manage the audio and pass the video on to the projector
@@LifestyleLab_ it the hdmi arc that port? or just another one??? thanks
Not sure I understand the question
@@LifestyleLab_ my Receiver has an HDMI ARC, is that port the same as HDMI out??
@@cybergus18 an HDMI arc port can be connected directly to your projector and your receiver should still handle the audio as an ARC connection handles both uplink and downlink of AV simultaneously.
Hi
I have sonance Sonos outdoor speakers with sonos amp.. I want to connect a projector (have not bought it) to the amp so I can hear the audio through those sonance speakers.
How can I do this?
Im able to connect a HDMI cable cos the amp sits behind the wall where the speakers are installed.
How does the apple airplay work?
What projector is Sonos amp friendly ?
U don't have to answer all the questions if not able to.
I just need to start somewhere.
Thanks ahead for the reply
Thanks for this review video ! I have a problem with the audio from my projector...
I am connecting my google chrome cast to the HDMI port of the projector and using the projector bluetooth to connect to a speaker.
I this case, always I am seeing audio lag ! Can you please comment where is the issue in my case ?
The issue is likely your speaker has input lag. Or, the transmitter on the projector.
Either way, you can look for an audio delay option in the projector, or try a different Bluetooth device
