dude, really one of the best reviews of a projector I have ever seen! Clear instructions on how you mounted the projector and set the image. Thanks, this helped me a lot.
Dude, the way you speak in your videos is so refreshing. You sound like a normal person when going through everything, rather than talking like a freaking news anchor. Really sets you above others IMO
I am still using my Benq 720P projector from 2004! It gets almost daily use and I am on my third bulb. The picture is still excellent! I have taken it down and cleaned it a few times. Also the color wheel motor got noisy after about 10,000 hours or about 10 years. A very worthwhile investment.
Nice one. Great to see home PJ's, I'm a Home Projectionist, brought my set up on a budget of just £320 and a lounge room of 27ft by 25ft. Had my setup for 3yrs, 120" electric screen, Optoma HD 230x PJ, Powered by an old style Sony Surround. All equipment is over 5yrs old, and you still get the WoW factor from friends. BluRay movies are over whelming. Great to see people buy PJ's instead of TV's, you get more bang for your buck as they say. And most PJs are easy to fix. Thanks for sharing the man cave.
I bought my first Hitachi projector in 2001 when home theatre projectors were in there infancy. Brightness and contrast ratios were low, but with the curtains closed it worked great when watching movies with my Pioneer Laser Disc player. Projectors today have a lot more technology in them and of course are a lot brighter, my next purchase will be a laser projector. They use lasers for the light source and are super bright, good for bright areas like living rooms etc. Whilst top end home theatre projectors are more expensive, they give an amazing picture with excellent contrast ratio and a much bigger screen than any TV. To help the picture appear brighter for smaller / older projectors, it's ideal to have the room as dark as possible. Either painting walls and the ceiling black (floor should be dark carpet) will allow the light to be absorbed. If you can put dark or black curtains around the walls it will also help with sound absorption (less echo). Thanks for the great video, very useful for beginners!
Got the same setup around Christmas (BenQ ht2050 and 120" screen) and it's absolutely epic. Way better value than any TV, and the BenQ projector is an absolute beast, even great for gaming with the low input lag. Always run it in eco mode to extend the lamp life (6000 hours). Really great projector at a very reasonable price. Pro Tipp: don't try to save money on a cheap ceiling mount.
I just went out and got the project, couch and screen.. All that I have to do now is save up for the house with basement. One paycheck at a time, maybe in the next 10 years I'll be there... I just gotta find a place in my one bedroom apartment to keep these thing until then. You gotta start somewhere right? :) You nailed it dude, the finished project was amazing. congrats!!! :)
Bro, I started the same way...yes 10 years later when I bought a house I made sure it had a room where I can finally put it all together. Keep grinding!
Nice set up. I actually got the BenQ HT2150st with the same top mount protecting on a 135" screen. Every time I go back to watching regular TV on my 60" I'm just like..... DAMN this TV is SMALL lol

Probably the most well rounded dedicated home theater setup video I've come across. I'm in the market for a screen and projector and this really shed Alot of light on my search. I think there's a pun in there.
This is my first video by you I've watched and I really enjoy that you don't go into unnecassary technical specifics, you just use common sense and reasoning. Thanks for just being upfront and honest these are guides that are in my opinion the most helpful.
I really appreciate you putting this video up on TH-cam . I've never purchased a projector before and have been agonizing over which model to get and your video has been most helpful !

nice thanks for the info, i actually didn't realize about the 3 chip lcd projectors, but you talking what 500 more, i was trying to hit that sub 1k price point. i had considered about that light bounce, thought it would be bother some directly overhead, but it really doesn't bother me especially not to the point of painting my ceiling black, i think that would f up my whole room vibe. but i will have to play with the modes though, thank you for the tip, you sound like you know your stuff!
C815richard honestly you want the better route, I've own lcd and dlp between both dlp was more accurate in color and looked more realistic, lcd fades over time to,
I totally disagree with the LCD suggestion. DLP projectors are far superior in black levels and overall color dynamics, in my opinion. Personally, I'll never own another LCD projector because they tend to look washed out, with terrible blacks and drab colors, especially if there's any light in the room. I've a couple LCD units, but my current one is the slightly older BenQ W1070, which is similar in specs to this unit and it's also the least expensive one I've owned, while producing the best results. I'm extremely impressed with BenQ's line of DLP projectors. If I was going to go all out and build a reference theater, I'd go with a 3 chip DLP (similar to what commercial theaters use), but those cost a fortune.
Thank you for this video. It helped me a lot with my setup and install of my BenQ HT 3050 and 120 inch screen. My set up is almost identical to yours. Now when I'm watching my 60 inch LG it seems so tiny.
Really great explanations, thanks dude. I have never dealt with projectors or their screens, but a potential customer needs theirs repaired, so this video is really useful info!
1 year ago I did this setup thanks to this video. I have a 110 with grey screen in a smaller room and for the price I have zero regrets! The mount that he used is great too! Thanks
2 questions. Did you just lay the piece of wood across the frame of the drop ceiling? And do you know if it matters if your center speaker is above or below the screen? Thank you.
hey patrick, yeah i just laid it across, its a little ghetto but fine, it shakes when someone runs up the stairs, so at some point i should add some wood and mount it to one of the joists. as far as the speaker, i think you will be close to the bottom of the screen when you are sitting (and listening) while watching, so that is a little better plane for the audio to hit your ears vs having it so high up relative to where you are sitting, if you understand what i'm saying......in either position, it be good to angle it toward the listening position a bit too, but yeah to me i would put it below the screen. and you wont' feel as much like you are in a 'hole' from an audio perspective
Man, thank you so much for this review! I am planning on buying a good Projector. Your review is really so in depth. I really like how many time you put in your video's and how you explain everything so well! As of today, you have a new subscriber ! :-D

Watched this on my projector. Yes it makes more sense than Tv if its for watching movies at night. One of the best investments i have made in AV too. Next you need to get a receiver (i use denon) and good speakers (mine are Jamo) and you are all set!.
Yep nice to relax and watch youtube vids on the hugs screen. Jamo is one of the best but very expensive. I put more into audio than the video as i am an Audiophile.
@@TopEvt just make your own speakers using professional programs to get the flattest audio responses. Also no point in spending money if no sound deadening material is placed in the room in strategic places
Techfreshness, I give you props on this! I totally feel the style and creativity you had with your room. It definitively brings a mello, zin-like mood. The purplish blue lights by the screen, looks like a subwoofer you got there in the middle of them too. Even your choice of furniture! Amazing! I also like what you did with the projector itself, hanging it on the ceiling. I bet that was a great project...
What an indepth video! Lots on info, set & even demos. Demo @15:59 sold me! Now i have to look into a Projector before a HDR 4K TV. You my good man, have earned a sub.
Maaaaan I should have never watched your video, now you've got my wheels turning and I want one too, even though I have never considered getting a projector because of the blurie picture with natural or reassessed light but I admitted I changed my mind after watching your video . I will have to do more research though, they can you make a video about hooking up the sound system. Thanks
I am very poor but i enjoy looking at new devise that i still came see and dream of having maybe in another life time...What do ypu think....Thank you very much...
Enrique Gonzales be thankful for the things u have. I know it looks like this is all big and cool, but once you get it you won’t be happy. Besides even if you did want this, if you invested in it, you could possibly afford it. A lot of projectors are cheap, same for projection screens, I know it looks like millions, but it honestly takes that huge
Enrique Gonzales you can find cheaper ones. There's one at Walmart for 150 that's HD and 3D. It's not as good as that one but it'll do the job. There's even mini ones for like 50 bucks on Amazon
+Enrique Gonzales It's all an Illusion.. Things never leave you feeling Content, long term.. and if you get Loans you end feeling worse than when you had very little.. Happiness is already inside you..
Having the couch in the middle of the room is so ideal for a surround sound setup. Hence the question what kind of speaker configuration are you running? Great video btw
Very descriptive video. I was thinking to myself, "I wonder what he mounted the projector arm to" and then later in the video you showed how it was done by simply placing a piece of wood up there and mounting the projector to it. Thank you for going through the whole process, I want to learn how do these type of projects and picked up some very helpful tips. I also like the setup and the fact you were playing some battlefield on there, makes me wanna get one.
cool glad you enjoyed! btw, i wasn't playing bf on there, although you easily could, i was simply watching a in game recording of me playing on my pc.......btw, you may enjoy this video if you liked the one above: th-cam.com/users/edit?o=U&video_id=itD_7dFcPU0
Derrick Gordon really long HDMI to an HDMI splitter you can put where you have your game station/DVD player etc. Then run a really long aux cord from the projector to your around
If you want to have any sort of fun expedience gaming on a projector, you NEED to have an hdmi go direct from projector to game console. Then using an optical cable to get audio. Passing through a receiver creates a huge amount of lag
Old video, however, all I can say is "Welcome to the Family". Stopped using projectors back in 2014. On my third one now after doing some exploring. Currently using an Epson 2040 1080p. Pretty freaking solid for $599. All you need now is a solid surround sound system with a black diamond screen from screen innovations.
The reason you struggled with stretching on the cloth was because you had to start in the middle of each side and slowly work your way to the corners on all 4 sides at the same time.
techfreshness I've blacked my room using black out curtians and graham brown disco black wallpaper helps my speakers and stands dissapear when lights are off.But even if lights are on the image is not washed out as the light dose not really reflect off the wallpaper onto the screen so colour is not affected.only thing I think is a black background would suite you screen better in daylight, less distracting to eye in daylight then with a white background in daylight. Looks very nice well done
Placing the board up in the ceiling for mounting.......sweeet!!!! Nice useful tips that im gonna exercise....since im expecting finally my 1st home w/basement soon.
I’m adding this projector to my wish list. Also loved your video! It was very informative and love how you take the time to install and go through the specs of both the projector and the screen. You deserve more views for this!!!
This is the exact set up I have at my house. Give you something really cool to add that will really make it pop. Philips hue led lights around the back of the silver ticket. I noticed you already had hue lamps so I'm sure you're already familiar with the line up. It's going to run you large amount since hue doesn't give you much led lights to work with but well worth it. If you have any questions feel free to shoot me an email and I can go over it or send you some pics
Hey man great video!! Question: how did you run the power, sound, and HDMI cords? I also have a drop ceiling but no roof outlet. Looks like you hid them very well. Thank you!!
a very good demonstration of the adjustments of the unit. You have been the first person who's shown what keystone correction is and how it is done on your projector as well as lens shifting. Thank you
If you're ever looking to upgrade, I would highly recommend a 3-LCP Sony laser unit. you can get up to 5000 lumens for under 2k nowadays, which is comparably priced in comparison to similar brightness Lamp-Based units. Plus you get anywhere from 20-25,000 hours of life out of them without any loss of brightness in the process. The Sony VPL-PWZ10 is perfect for this & would pack a huge punch in a room like that for roughly 17-1800$. Great video by the way!
thanks for the reco john, yeah man i guess laser would def be a great option. i may do it sooner or later, i gotta try to get the audio first. i would like to myabe get a 4k laser just to sharpen up a lot of the text/graphics vs mine
techfreshness Hey Dude, New Subscriber, I would just like to say that your channel is absolutely Amazing! I think that you are much better than stupid fucking TH-camrs who have hit videos and be like Number 1 on trending an shit, anyway, all in all you're a fucking awesome dude man👍🏼📸💯
ha awesome, thanks a lot michael. appreciate you subscribing too. yeh there are definitely some annoying youtubers out there, everyone has their own flavors and styles tho i guess
Really convenient that you have a tiled ceiling in your basement makes it easier to install wiring for your projector. New to channel hope to see more soon
Do projectors do HDR, seems to be the 3d of 2018. Whatever happened to the promise of cheap bulb free laser projectors? I've been out if the projector loop for a few years now.
i have the Acer H7550BD DLP 1080p Projector, great bit of kit! i’ve got it ceiling mounted projecting onto a 64” screen, it’s sound output is fantastic (built in DTS)
thanks for this great review. All I was wondering about is to what kind of device you connected the projecter. A home cinema system? laptop? And to what extend is a good system impacts the projector screen quality
Lol! I was rewatching your video above, specifically toward the end where you are watching the racing at 8:19. I didn't notice the first time but you, or whomever is on the couch, was moving his head left, or right, in conjection with what the car was doing. Now thats what I call immersive.
Good video and nice set up. I'm getting closer to getting a projector but mine will be in the back room of my house, I do not have a room I can dedicate to it for now. I will be going for the sneaky theater look where the screen rolls up into the ceiling when not in use. I too will be going with economic sound set up until a later date.
Just wondering when you'll be ready to take the 4K plunge with a projector, or if you will at all. In any event, great video as usual. Thanks for all your helpful videos.
I must say, one of the most important thing is the illumination. It is for me not confort to be in all dark place for everyday living room time. My idea is to aim the lights away from the projector wall. To use low intensity led lights focusing just your couch and the walls around the front view. My eyes itches when i play video games in dark places. There is a cinema layout for the best projector experience, you just need a building plan for a projector living room. other detail is that some projectors have loud noise, a simple wood installation in the bottom of the projector can fix that noise. Of course taking care for necessary ventilation.
excellent video. thanks for the inspiration I have ceiling tiles in the basement as well. the board across is genius, but im curious, does the board slide around much?
I have a similar setup. Ceiling mounted projector in a lower level, i.e., another floor above. Based on my experience I'm very sceptical the that setup shown would yield a satisfactory result. Specifically, any motion of the framing to which the projector is attached will result in visible vibration of the image. To obtain a rigid mount I had to mount the projector to a plate attached by a single stalk mount as shown and then place wires with turnbuckles projecting up and out at all four corners of the plate and connecting to hooks in the framing . The fine position of the picture is obtained by adjusting the turnbuckles and the wires stiffened up the mounting such that motion of the ceiling, e.g., someone walking around on the floor above, no longer creates movement of the projected image. Also, the mounting, with the projector exposed is rather crude in the setup shown. My installation (also with a suspended acoustical tile ceiling) completely encloses the projector, including a glass port for the light beam. Intake and exhaust air is from and into the space above the ceiling. This makes the theater very quiet at low sound levels.
hey dav, yeah you are right, it does have some slight vibration. i just was lazy with installing it proper with bracing. the turnbuckles sounds like a good solution. do you have a link to what you used? i also don't disagree with the mouting being a little crude. although i dont' know how i could get it incased like you describe, woudln't the light beam have to shine down at such an angle? thanks a lot for the input
@@techfreshness I have frequently wished that there was someway to attach pictures to TH-cam comments for such purposes. The materials used were common, a piece of Masonite for the mounting plate and bailing wire and screen door turnbuckles for adjustments. Most projectors have an adjustment for altering the vertical projection angle. The angle required when the projector is suspended eight feet in the air isn't much different than when a projector is located on a table top and beams up to a wall. The enclosure I fabricated occupies the space of one ceiling tile and actually hangs from the lattice work that the tiles rest in, i.e. the projector is mounted to the framing but the enclosure hangs with the suspended ceiling. When I originally created the space I knew I was going to fabricate a home theater and made sure one row of tiles was centered on the space where the projection screen would be located. You can't adjust the beam from side to side independently of the projector body. On the other hand you could just sightly angle the projector and then adjust the "keystone" correction to compensate for the slight distortion of the frame. There are some photos of the setup on my Facebook page that you can view at (cut and paste the URL if the link is not active): facebook.com/1513915535565356/photos/a.1514863552137221/1732550293701878/?type=3&theater Note: The design and fabrication of the enclosure was fairly time consuming. The screen is 92" diagonal. If I live long enough I would anticipate that the projection setup would be replaced with some type of mega-ultra HD direct-view technology that is applied like thick wallpaper.
I've have my Epson HD projector for about 2 years now and I'll NEVER go back to TV's lol I race on PC and play on about 100+ inch screen/wall. I made a huge mistake before buying a projector and bought an 82 inch 3D ready tv. It lasted a whole 6 months and something went on it and never could find a real person in the companies customer service dept, so now I have a $2000 huge paperweight (not happy) . Anyways I'm hoping to upgrade to a short-throw projector next year while I wait for the 4K projectors to drop a little in price. Congrats on your projector. I see this is an older video but great video none the less. I might even look into the projector you showed in your vid.
12:42 painted wall vs 13:05 special screen -> Similar apearance in this video. Save money on the special screen, place a melamine board with special projector paint on the wall. Paint the first roof panels black to avoid reflections
Great Video! Thanks for the upload. When I built my theater I had to do a lot of research to answer all the questions I had. You pretty much covered everything I learned. Perfect guide for anyone wanting their own home theater setup. My advise would be that projectors do have some convinces that televisions don't though T.V.s are far out accelerating the picture quality and technology of projectors. I don't mind the softer image a projector provides. To really make any home theater I would highly recommend investing in a respectable sound system to make the experience.
Loved this video! But we are kids and so we only have limited income so what do you recommend for cheap but good quality, we are trying to turn my friends basement into a projector gaming room, we have a projector and fabric screen but definitely not nearly as good as the screen you got. Anyways, what would you recommend for cheap but good quality screens and audio and whatnot.

Yes Room is awesome movie, but what is its relation to this?
Good video! Like the fact that you cheered for Verstappen and were totally into the driving, moving your head looking beyond the corners.
Man, thank you so much for this review! I am planning on buying a good Projector. Your review is really so in depth. I really like how many time you put in your video's and how you explain everything so well! As of today, you have a new subscriber ! :-D
Did you ever get one?
@@knowthycell No, sadly enough, other things happened in my life. Sometimes, life is unexpected 🤷🏻♂️
Laurent de backer dang that’s deep
@@ponapple Yeah, pretty deep!
Im a F1 fan too. And after seeing it on that projector I'm going to get me one now. Nice video!!!!

Watched this on my projector. Yes it makes more sense than Tv if its for watching movies at night. One of the best investments i have made in AV too. Next you need to get a receiver (i use denon) and good speakers (mine are Jamo) and you are all set!.
nice, watching projector review on your projector ha. yeah man i can't wait to get some sound added...jamo you say? i have never heard of those
Yep nice to relax and watch youtube vids on the hugs screen. Jamo is one of the best but very expensive. I put more into audio than the video as i am an Audiophile.
I just spent money on a 5.1 soundbar. didnt feel like running cables everywhere or spending 500+ on wireless speakers
Check out the Elac B6 speakers, might be the best bang for the buck. And if you go the soundbar route LG SJ9.
You my good man, have earned a sub.
heck yeah, thats what i likes to hear! thank you
Maaaaan I should have never watched your video, now you've got my wheels turning and I want one too, even though I have never considered getting a projector because of the blurie picture with natural or reassessed light but I admitted I changed my mind after watching your video .
Will Fribourg why would you not be happy?
Enrique Gonzales you can find cheaper ones. There's one at Walmart for 150 that's HD and 3D. It's not as good as that one but it'll do the job. There's even mini ones for like 50 bucks on Amazon
+Enrique Gonzales It's all an Illusion.. Things never leave you feeling Content, long term.. and if you get Loans you end feeling worse than when you had very little.. Happiness is already inside you..
Get a low cost one. You can upgrade to a better one at a later time. $800 for a projector is steep.
I really love and enjoyed this video. Think of doing this for my living room.

I am happy to see that you didn't paint your ceiling dark, everyone tells me I should do that but with the lights off it looks fine!
I’ve had a projector now for 10 years. Only used 3 models and each have been great! Sports, Movies, Gaming. Just a great fun value
How much did you pay for your projector? Model? Is it better than this one on this video?
J MH Epson 2150. Better is subjective. $50 bulbs sold me and brightness!
Thanks to your review I'm getting a 120" projector setup Thank Youhh !!

Great job looks like a lot more then under 1,000 dollars
thats what i kinda thought too, thanks pete!
well his device is $799 and his screen is what 200-250? Overall thats over 1000 in the end..
@@streamfan6825 plus the cost of the speakers
Great video man! I just setup the exact same thing cause of your video. Great choice. Would you mind sharing info on the couch?
how did you connect your gaming console to the projector while its on the ceiling? Im still trying to figure this out for myself
Derrick Gordon long ass HDMI cable most likely
You can get a 10meter hdmi cable off ebay
All devices hook into your AVR. Then you run a single hdmi from the AVR to the projector. It's called hdmi pass thru.
Passing through a receiver creates a huge amount of lag
where'd you get that couch?
Drew P casting couch
thats super cosy right? a generous one
Yeti gaming
Ikea

Old video, however, all I can say is "Welcome to the Family". Stopped using projectors back in 2014. On my third one now after doing some exploring. Currently using an Epson 2040 1080p. Pretty freaking solid for $599. All you need now is a solid surround sound system with a black diamond screen from screen innovations.
Wish their was a link for where you bought that couch!?? lol..no but for real where'd you get it ?
The reason you struggled with stretching on the cloth was because you had to start in the middle of each side and slowly work your way to the corners on all 4 sides at the same time.
ah! well good thing it didn't rip ha. thank yous
I wanted to also ask. How far do you sit from this screen and whether that distance is comfortable?
That makes allot more sense! Stretch all sides equally outwards. Thanks.
lol, yes it does
techfreshness I've blacked my room using black out curtians and graham brown disco black wallpaper helps my speakers and stands dissapear when lights are off.But even if lights are on the image is not washed out as the light dose not really reflect off the wallpaper onto the screen so colour is not affected.only thing I think is a black background would suite you screen better in daylight, less distracting to eye in daylight then with a white background in daylight. Looks very nice well done
Great review thanks. Nice how u talked about the projector and did demos.
RON B the carpenters 😎
Really great in-depth review...Everything I needed to know! good job
Placing the board up in the ceiling for mounting.......sweeet!!!! Nice useful tips that im gonna exercise....since im expecting finally my 1st home w/basement soon.
I am planning to buy a projector and as a part of my research I came across this video and found it extremely informative.
hell yeah glad to help, let me know if you got any questions
Thanks to you I ordered this projector omg in love with it p.s Thank you for sharing
Are you still enjoying it?
16:13 all cool, but need full darkness )))
Like all projectors do
17:45 blue lights or just me? if blue lights, can you have those on and not adversely affec the image. Great video :)
I’m adding this projector to my wish list.
Also loved your video! It was very informative and love how you take the time to install and go through the specs of both the projector and the screen.
You deserve more views for this!!!
thansk a lot sevan!
Was very excited seeing a fellow BF4 player. Thanks for sharing your experience.
nice work---keep it up !!
What Chrome extention is that when you slide the link to the right?
Tab Stack, the one I use too :-)
Oh my god what a boring question !!!
Thanks. Enjoyed your video.
Thank you!!
Thanks a lot man, you saved me a bunch
Pretty cool
Thats the life
I need this in my life. Sick setup man. I can't wait until I move to a house with room for this.
heck yeah man
a very good demonstration of the adjustments of the unit. You have been the first person who's shown what keystone correction is and how it is done on your projector as well as lens shifting. Thank you
It's 2017... I'd have gone 4k... especially for this size
It’s 2020 ... I’d have gone 8K... especially for this size
Great job!!!
Badass I wish I had a room to do that 😂😂
A nice simple, easy to do home cinema setup. We find another good isolator for the fan noise is an enclosure for the projector.
$1,000. Now that's what I call a BUDGET setup...
You need more subs
i cannot argue with that, ha. thanks :P

Do projectors do HDR, seems to be the 3d of 2018. Whatever happened to the promise of cheap bulb free laser projectors? I've been out if the projector loop for a few years now.
Dude! That’s a “bad ass man cave!”
Excellent install n review!

thanks larry, i love it
i have the Acer H7550BD DLP 1080p Projector, great bit of kit! i’ve got it ceiling mounted projecting onto a 64” screen, it’s sound output is fantastic (built in DTS)
thanks for this great review. All I was wondering about is to what kind of device you connected the projecter. A home cinema system? laptop? And to what extend is a good system impacts the projector screen quality
Great video, not just the projector but your explanation of all the features and modes boss! Very good
That home theater is so fresh!
Lol! I was rewatching your video above, specifically toward the end where you are watching the racing at 8:19. I didn't notice the first time but you, or whomever is on the couch, was moving his head left, or right, in conjection with what the car was doing. Now thats what I call immersive.
ha, natural instinct when in that first person view!
I got one of these in my living room not that long ago. It is seriously one of the best things I own.
nice!
man! you just made me rethink $1800 80 inch tv decision and that's when its on sale. thanks for sharing.
hey michael, did you end up making a decision yet? an 80' tv is pretty BA, just depends the size of your room i think and how you gonna use it
Awesome job man. How do you hook up all the stuff like video games and Apple TV? I saw you hooked it up but is it all hiding in the ceiling?
excellent video. thanks for the inspiration I have ceiling tiles in the basement as well. the board across is genius, but im curious, does the board slide around much?
Paint the first roof panels black to avoid reflections
nice setup dude - i just purchased this projector today,. how is the projector holding up for you 5 years later?
Great Video! Thanks for the upload. When I built my theater I had to do a lot of research to answer all the questions I had. You pretty much covered everything I learned. Perfect guide for anyone wanting their own home theater setup. My advise would be that projectors do have some convinces that televisions don't though T.V.s are far out accelerating the picture quality and technology of projectors. I don't mind the softer image a projector provides. To really make any home theater I would highly recommend investing in a respectable sound system to make the experience.
for sure, i def agree with you gonna get some good audio soon too. but yeh a little soft is what they call movie like ha.
