10 Min AB WORKOUT with No Equipment (NOT abs in ten minutes)

  • 10 minute ab workout to follow along!
    Abs in ten minutes? 6 minute abs workout to get abs in 14 days? You can’t put a time scale on results. We are all different. And such minimal time period isn’t realistic.
    We all have abdominal muscles. If a workout is relating to visible abs in 10 minutes, even if you do it everyday for a year you very likely will not gain any visibility of ab muscles. Also training abs too much is not good either...muscles need rest so even training abs everyday for 2 weeks will not bring the progress you maybe are promised, although you will absolutely gain more strength, endurance and stability in those muscles!
    If you combine ab specific routines alongside your cardio/strength training or whatever is your preference and are consuming a nutritional intake that will help you in your training and goals you will overtime feel and see progress. Consistency, intensity, correct form, patience and control of every movement will contribute to overall improvements in fitness levels and training.
    Why train your abdominal muscles?
    The abs are only part of the core. The core is the centre of gravity for every movement.
    A strong core has many benefits including stability for the body, protects our spine and helps improve performance. Every time you move, lift, plank, walk, run, your core provides that stable, strong foundation.
    Strengthening, targeting and learning to brace the core will help you train more safe, train better, improve posture, balance and provide a strong girdle to connect upper and lower body.
    Activating and strengthening the rectus abdominis, internal & external obliques and the TVA (transversus abdominis) all contribute to a strong and stable core.
    To brace the core, I always suggest simply think about if you are about to be hit with impact on the torso such as a punch. You would automatically brace your core!
    The calories burned in performing an ab specific routine will not reduce fat from that particular area. The same applies when doing inner thigh strengthening movements for example... this will not reduce fat in this area specifically as the body takes energy as a whole from the body, not one specific area. Again, it will help strengthen those muscles!
    You will be using the abs and core as a whole throughout strength training and full body movements also.
    I love an ab/core specific routine as it helps to strengthen the abdominal muscles, teaches me to activate and engage the TVA (deepest abdominal muscles) which in turn will help to improve posture and will help tighten the torso.
    This workout is a great addition post a main workout or alone on those active rest days.
    Each movement is similar to the previous and are sorted into a smooth transitional order!
    All you will need is a mat for this ab strengthening routine!
    The timer will be on for 45 seconds of work with no specific rest however ensure you don’t rush into the next exercise... take a moment to make sure you are comfortable and ready to proceed!
    Pause at any point during the workout and simply resume when you feel ready!
    As with any leg lowering, it is important that you don’t lower beyond the point where your lower back is on the mat.
    Perform with bending at knees, place hands under hips or don’t lower as low if you lower back is rising up. Think about pressing the lower back into the mat!

      Yes best description!!! I can't stand how some people say for instance "slim legs in 20 minutes " fitness is a life long journey it doesn't happen overnight and new people to working out need to know this. This was a fantastic rest day ab workout. Hope everyone has a great day!

    I’ve been doing this workout for almost 3 weeks, along with all of my cardio and strength training. I haven’t found any other an workout that hurts/ works this well. And honestly, I have an ab line!!

    As a beginner I believed the “Get abs in 2 weeks”. I thought that is I did an ab workout everyday for two weeks I would get abs. These videos were toxic for me. I was so mad at myself because I wasn’t getting the results I wanted and that I thought I was guaranteed to get. I pushed myself way too hard. I was just a beginner and couldn’t take the intense workouts I was trying to do. It has taken me the past year to realize that results don’t come fast. Even though I don’t have the body I have wanted when I started working out, I feel so much stronger. It has taken me a year to get the little amount of abs I see now. But I know that my abs are so strong even though they aren’t very visible. Remember to love yourself through the process! Be patient and you will get stronger!

      I’m sorry but I’m confused on how you thought abs were born in just a couple weeks…abs can be stronger by working out but abs are created also by diet- as in low body fat…you cheated yourself by not doing your research.

    I love working with Caroline so much ,, I am in recovery from an eating disorder and I’ve been pushing myself back against those voices as much as I can but I’ve been struggling with exercise addiction and generally find it difficult to enjoy a workout that I do, but I love the way Caroline’s workouts make me feel I always feel better and happy and not looking every three seconds at the screen for when it will end,, I definitely need to do more videos from her, she’s the best!

    I now cringe every time I see other TH-camrs' booty poppin' videos that get hundreds of thousands of views, but upon assessment of the workout, they are super basic... lol. Sucks for people who haven't found Caroline yet and think some angled glute enhanced pic is an indication of results in 20 or so minutes of basic exercises. Such false advertisements. I feel so lucky to have stumbled upon CG last year. THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU and for sharing your gift with the world CG. Love you so much!

      I think it's common sense that you won't get abs after 10 mins😂 but if you work out diligently for several weeks you will start seeing results.

      @ actually, yes. I was also doing different workouts but i feel that especially my lower abs is holding so much more. It’s always better than doing nothing so keep going:)

    The description and title is exactly why I love this channel so much. By focusing on strength and health benefits over aesthetics it has helped me actually have fun and stay motivated to the point where my increased strength is noticable in my everyday life, which also makes it addicting and makes me want to lift heavier. A little fat comes and goes depending on the time of the year but the strength is always there so no worry!

    I LOVED THIS WORKOUT! Just finished it. My abdomen is paining badly and my muscles are sore right now but I feel this sense of joy and victory that is greater than all these pains. Abdomen workouts used to be my biggest fear, but with the help of your amazing workout, I have pushed myself and discovered what my body is truly capable of.

    Day 1 - definitely a good workout I only feel pain in my neck not stomach
    Sorry I had to take a little break I was too sore
    Day 2 - my stomach was sore yet I went through it at the end I thought I was way easier and I don’t really feel pain also it’s less painful to move than on day 1

    I'm going to give myself 100 days and try this workout every other day! I'll come back to review the progress. I could feel on day 1 my abs were hurting and my core is a lot vulnerable. I feel great!

    The first time I tried this about a week ago, I only made it half way through🥲 This was my 2nd attempt and I MADE IT all the way lol!! I tried to tell myself "this is too advanced for me" but then my Big Girl voice said, "KEEP GOING!". I am so glad I kept going. I am excited to get used to this and be a total powerhouse!     Normally back then for around 5 months I kept breaking my diet and punishing myself for it... I used to do exercises that would guarantee a flat, small waist or smoatch in a short amount of time. I used to eat only around 700 cals per day and punished myself by not eating the next day if I binged ate. Thanks to you and Linda Sun I actually enjoy working out, working out to become stronger, to become healthier not to shrink or make myself smaller. Thank you :D

    The way I could only do 0.1% of this workout 😭 Realizing I used to be able to do some of these exercises but now I can’t makes me realize how much strength I’ve lost and I wanna get that back.
    Edit: Seeing that I can actually do more of these exercises about a week later Is pretty nice :)

    Perfect, you get a 'headsup' between each exercise. Some of these videos, the instructor is in a completely different position or has equipment and you've had no opportunity to move from the previous exercise. Thank you so much

    I did this work out for pretty much two months in July and August, and it really worked for me. But school started back and my workout routine really started to slack.😂 But since the new year has started, I have set goals and I am ready to start my workout journey over and see where it gets me!

    Great description and great title as well. So appreciate you sharing your time and talent with everyone. Also I cannot agree more that having a strong core makes such a difference, especially movements that are "off balance". Think about when you pick up things like...well whatever...groceries...stuff around your house...a kid...its never perfectly balanced. A strong core can help you avoid injuries and translates into thigs you do in everyday life. I road ride and also mountain bike and these routines really do help balance in the saddle, power transfer and reduce fatigue on longer rides. Core is KEY to pretty much everything and Caroline is killing it!

    Caroline has convinced me to change my mind about many things in the course of the year and a half that I've been training with her, but enjoying abs workouts is not one of them.
    This was quite challenging and I took a few breaks but such a solid workout.

    I heard from a gymnast that doing exercises where you twist in this way and do opposite hands and feet will give you more of a boxy look as it will grow the muscles on the sides of your waist, so if you want a smaller waist with a toned stomach, i think you should avoid the twisting

    I’ve this almost every second day for about a month and I’m finally getting to a point where I can push through the breaks!

    I'm a 55 year old woman & I make muscle easy because of my dad's genetics. But I've also struggled with anorexia so I try to eat & drink very clean. I drink a lot of water with apple cider vinegar & real lemon with a dash of sea salt. First you need to start your day with God & end it with God & I promise you'll see results very soon. Go for it & NEVER give up on yourself!!! You deserve it!!!!
