The one part in the Sicario mission was taken from Lone Survivor. COD does right but they do it so wrong and turn it into a crappy Michael Bay movie/ video game in a lot of levels. The all stealth missions in the game are not fun because the ghille suit is fun but there is actually no immersion. As a Hispanic, I’ve traveled between America and Mexico a infinite amount of times, and yes there’s mountains and pin trees forests in Mexico. There’s this city name Xalapa, and Nolinco, it’s often cold and looks like the outskirts of Denver.
Just in case anyone is wondering, the location in Mexico that takes place in the game is based on Michoacan, Oaxaca, and Guerrero located in Central Western and Southern Mexico that pretty much looks identical to the game. Not all of Mexico is a desert, such as the border states.
I've always treated the Call of Duty Campaigns the same way I treat James Bond. Is it realistic? Nope. But it's juuuuuust realistic enough to be somewhat believable so long as you turn your brain off and enjoy yourself. Great breakdown as always.

I will give MW2 credit, when the mission started and the player “looked” like he was charging his M4, he was just conducting a press check to confirm a round in the chamber. Every weapon has some animation when you pick it up. So it’s better than rolling up with an empty weapon.
Played the game, and…I absolutely loved it, the Mexican missions are my personal favorite, last week I was in the state of Zacatecas for a congress, and I am 80% sure that the fictional city of Las Almas is,at least heavily based on the state of Zacatecas, from the city's architecture to the actual vegetation, topography, climate, the very varied ecosystems, and pinpoint depiction of Mexican Army uniforms(idk about SF or how SAS operates…I simply don't know, like I've had the opportunity to hang around with guys who are Special Forces in the Mexican Navy and yeah, no…umm they talk normally without the military movie clichés, but yeah). This campaign was so sick honestly 😂but always awesome to hear what you guys think considering you guys are the real deal 👌 Activision should definitely take some notes just to make it more realistic than it has been
The game allows you to clear some of those rooms and open the doors, the player recording the gameplay just doesn’t do it. That’s the problem with watching some of these missions, the player doesn’t always act like an operator and it gives a false impression. The game allows you to do it.
You guy's reaction to these games are always a good time! 😂 Its a healthy reminder that no matter how many "immersive" shooters I play, doesn't equate to knowing jack about how it all really works. Been having alot of fun with MWII nonetheless. 👍
I got this game because I saw them like clearing buildings room by room and it looked so much more realistic than old CoD games, which the last one I really picked up and played was the first Black Ops a decade ago; and I did enjoy this game but I do wish it was less Hollywood, and there was less wacky jumping from vehicle to vehicle taking out like a whole fleet alone. I appreciate the entertainment factor, but I would like them to keep getting more realistic.
I agree with Jason about gravitating towards battlefield because it's more immersive. You guys should react to more of that. I recommend the "operation sword breaker" mission from battlefield 3
@kevin pierson bf3 is my favourite modern military war game of all time. i hope the new leader ship vince zampella and marcus lehto can turn it around and make battlefield. battlefield agin.
almost a year ago i finished army basic and the term "weapons free" was only used at the firing range to let us know we can start firing. we dont use it for anything else though.
It's $70 the vault edition that has a bunch of extra operators to use and the "M4 weapon Vault" that instantly unlocks an m4 receiver platform for each weapon class
It doesn't matter how good they make the AI shoot, move and communicate when the player can choose to either go full Rambo or actually use some level of tactics and try to be a little more realistic about it. There is a video that got a lot of views of a former South Korean Naval Special Warfare guy who played the CQB missions from Modern Warfare 2019 that showed one end of the spectrum of play style compared to the other end where people don't clear corners or rooms, shoot through walls and doors and don't identify targets. Enjoyed the video, hope you reacted to a couple other missions too.

Such a great campaign. Ghost is awesome. Question: is it common for special forces or any soldier for that matter, to want to keep their identity hidden? How accurate is that?
I cannot say anything about the special forces of the United States, but for example, the members of the FER, Fuerza Especial de Reaccion a (special reaction force), usually have their faces covered so that their identity is not in danger and thus the cartels do not attack them and their families.
