Activision doesn't care about such things one bit. I stopped buying their products after fall of 2019(release of CoD2019 that attributed several irl warcrimes to other nations, censorship of Blitzchung and Hong Kong, inner purge in the company). But you kept on buying their products. Just like I did when I ignored the Red Shirt guy only to be reminded what a shitty corpo that is. And after you left, they still have enough customers. And will have even more. They can rape children on live TV and they'd still have enough target audience for their products.
Honestly seeing zombies stand completely still is so weird. In the good games the zombies were constantly coming towards you, like a swarm of heat seeking robots so seeing em being passive is a bit of a trip.
I actually liked that part about outbreak in cold war. Being able to sneak up on or just observe passive zombies is pretty cool, just not in a round based map.
Way worse when you realize Sledgehammer had an extra year to develop Vanguard while Treyarch was forced to push out Cold War a year early. Treyarch was responsible for the zombies for vanguard and I honestly believe Activision burnt out Treyarch
They do indeed and also cold war was in the hands of Sledgehammer and Raven software but Activision had to give it to Treyarch because both studios (Raven and SH) acted like a bunch of kids according to the reports
Just by watching the gameplay, i noticed something. It plays as if this zombies mode is part of the BR. The weapons are color-coded, stuff drops from zombies, there's chests that spit out weapons [not THE random chest, loot chests], safe points, sudden "go do this objective" that you're forced to do it, etc. It all plays like this mode is part of Warzone, but they added it to Vanguard because lolzombiesmode.
@@moose8021 imo Cold War zombies did it well though. This feels like a super simplified version of outbreak on a smaller map with little to no content. One big criticism I did have with Cold War though is that the maps didn’t seem to have much personality
@@jeremyroberts8822 100%, still wasn't my cup of tea, but based on reviews of friends and BrockyTulip9, I think I'd still like it leagues more than Vanguard zombies.

They really castrated Pack-A-Punch, huh… The sick looking guns with the laser gunshots were the highlight of doing it, the damage and ammo increase was an added benefit.
this literally made me pissed. the gutted zombies and made a disgrace. I haven't bought the game and I'm not going to. have been a cod player through and through and I'm jumping ship to battlefield till they make a good game. I'm sad to say it but cod is a dieing game.
Call Of Duty: Black Ops zombie minigame is still my personal favorite, not everyday can you play as a past President of United States teaming up with Castro to kill zombies
@@thefbi3350 that's where the confusion was, because he said "minigame". No one calls zombies a minigame. They just call it zombies. So when he mentioned those guys, I was completely fucking lost. That's as deep as I'm going with this lol. You can see it or not.
It's kind of embarrassing when you can't do better than the first WaW map, which was basically 3 rooms, and the box. No perks, no pack a punch, not even really a huge variety of weapons, but I remember me and my friends staying up all night to see how well we could do. This is just garbage.
Dude I stayed up all night on nacht see untoten camping with my team on the second floor in the back where the grenade on the wall is with the mg42 and I don’t regret a second doing it. Those days were special and will always be.
Yeah, same. I got a notification for this video, read the title, and went, "wait, Vanguard *HAS* zombie mode?". Honestly, I'm at the point where if I were to hear or see the word "Vanguard", my brain would automatically avoid it altogether.
A little insight on the part at 20:15 coming from someone who worked on COD games for almost a decade, Activision always wanted a COD every year, and so the 3 "main" studios (IW, Treyarch, Sledge) would usually switch off, as you indicated. But what was rarely known from the outside was that the studio wouldn't truly get that full 3 years to work on the game as they should have. A lot of the first half of the "3 year cycle" would be still stuck in DLC content work or assisting one of the other studios with a level or two, and so by the end of it, you were really lucky to get a year, or a year and a half tops to completely make/finish a AAA title that was expected to make billions. Add to that that Activision would often step in and veto or demand changes that the studio didn't really want to make, and you just end up with a meat grinder assembly line of COD games getting pumped out and becoming progressively more derivative. And as you mentioned earlier in the video, it's not even one main studio heading the game anymore... they have multiple studios working on separate elements and then frankensteining it together for the final product. TBH I'm glad I left when I did, lol.
Remember when Activision was the _good guys?_ Nah, me neither. 35 years is a long time. Pretty sure most COD players aren’t even that old. Or gamers in general, really. But once upon a time, they were actually the heroes. Check way back in Atari history and you’ll see it. It’s true what they say - _”You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.”_

Why do we need a minimap AND a compass for zombies? The compass seems completely useless as it ALSO shows enemy directions while your minimap is telling you exactly where they are all around you.
It's nonsensical cause you don't need all that shit for zombies lol They're basic enemies that both charge you, and make a ton of noise doing it. It's not hard to see them coming
We definitely don't need any kind of map or compass in zombies, but it seems weird to complain about such a non-issue. Especially considering how bad the rest of this shit show is.
I will say, I loved outbreak and round based maps. I really like how both experiences felt familiar yet different from each other. This game just feels like the worst of both worlds blended together
I bought vanguard, instantly went to zombies, played for 30 minutes, then refunded. The experience is EMBARRASSING. It’s a far cry from anything that made Zombies successful.
I already started hating zombies when they made it sooo focused on the Easter egg forever ago, but this is by faaar a new low. Just crazy how insanely blind they can be to what made zombies popular from the start
Careful on that wording. Some Activision exec might see it and think they need to make Zombies into a Far Cry clone to make it successful again. And we all know how that'll go
I remember watching my friend play black ops zombies after trying it myself and seeing the cool tech I didn't know about was mind-blowing. Discovering map secrets, learning how to access certain areas in different ways, what perks are strong, which guns are good even if you might not think so. I remember thinking shotguns were pretty good because they deal a lot of damage and you can interrupt the reload. But seeing my friend ditch shotguns to get weak rapid weapons to farm points was such a great revelation moment. Same for learning how to get pack a punch on the maps where it was more esoteric like tranzit. Now it's just like "No, stop having tech. Stop having interesting things. Here's your damn pack a punch. You don't get points anymore. Now play."
If you didn't know, part of the reason Halo Infinite is good right now is that during development they formed a team of feedback experts by gathering a bunch of the biggest Halo content creators so they could tailor the game to actual long time fans and veteran. Every developer should take big ass notes in bold and italics from that.
@Mehdusa Yeah. But they are taking steps to fix it quick. They already did what they could without reworking it by ensuring you get at least one or two easy challenges that are going to be earned by just playing like normal.
Honestly the main problem with vanguard is somehow in a zombie game they made killing zombies completely pointless. In earlier games you could spray into a crowd of zombies and get thousands of points and go hell yeah but now if you spray into a crowd of zombies you wouldn’t even have enough money to spin the mystery box. The entire economy is based on doing the objectives but they’re so mind numbingly bland that two of the objectives are just kill zombies and survive which was already the whole point of the game.
Maybe they should bring back the survival mode. Where it's you and some buddies against increasing enemies and stuff. They already put a juggernaut in this one, so...
They’re trying too hard in zombies now. It used to be fun just playing with friends trying to see how far you can go or if you wanted you can do the easter egg with a bit of a challenge. Now they’re making it just objective based, and just so boring.
Yeah, and tbh while the map was cool if you want to talk story wise once it because great war zombies time travel it has jumped too many sharks in trying to take itself seriously. Stuff like moon was well over the top, of course, but it was still like an O.G. map. Same with mob od the dead.

@@bigmanliamyeah at least in bo2 you could figure out the map by yourself just by playing. In bo3 you had to look up guides for things as simple as power.
I actually had a lot of fun with BO4. My main gripes with it were the bullshit operator gadgets (mainly Prophet) and the gunplay/slow ttk made it feel like it's not a cod game. Multiplayer was pretty fun, zombies was good, blackout was fun for a battle royale and the camos were amazing (especially diamond). That being said I also think vanguard is better than both MW and cold war purely from a multiplayer standpoint.
@@Overlord99762 honestly I dont have problems with for example red dots in ww2. Little stuff like this doesnt bother me that much. BUT SAYING THAT BAR IS A F'ING ASSAULT RIFLE? OR THOMPSONS FRONT GRIP ON A MP40?
Zombies has just fallen off for me since BO3. I was a fan going into BO3, and BO3 was such a hype period, but it’s just fallen off over the last half decade or so. It’s been half a decade. Half a decade and we haven’t even seen anything close to what we had in 2015 and 2016, hell even 2013. Blundell left Activision is in shambles. It’s safe to say for me, after this game I’m done.
yeah, its sad to think that zombies is slowly dying because the devs are braindead. Remember when BO2 was out for a little bit and out of nowhere Mob of the Dead dropped and it became one of the greatest maps of all time? Never gonna see anything like that again. Cod will never 'wow' us again like that
My favorite thing about cold War zombies was there was always something to spend points on. You didn't get all your perks, open the map, and upgrade weapons and then just sit on 30,000 points until you went down and rebought everything. You could always get something new or some new upgrade.
Cold War zombies was honestly a breath of fresh air. You can tell Treyarch truly tried to reinvent the wheel and give players a reason to grind zombies with upragadeable everything. For all its minor flaws the zombies wouldve been spectacular if it had the personality of the old VA and we all know it.
Go play Infinite warfare zombies if you want something unique and fresh, I skipped IW on release and went back last year to have probably the best 2 months of zombies since blops2 , it’s so unique, has some problems but was a blast. Also the Campaign was insanely good.
Eh Cold War zombies to me felt like a sad attempt to keep aether going. In all honesty it’s just the aether storyline but with a different name and no memorable characters (oh wait that’s because they’re operators not characters). Maybe if they didn’t add chaos for bo4 and added it to Cold War then it would’ve been cool. But then again Jason blundell left so I guess the magic of zombies is gone.

Not even just with Zombies, but the Campaign, and even the multiplayer is leagues better than what we have today. I remember when it released how pissed people were. I remember people, including myself, hating on AW or IW, just to look back on it like "holy shit we were spoiled back then". Activision, and Activision alone, will dig COD's grave. There is a reason studios like Deviation Games exist now, and the root cause is Activision. But nothing will change since creators will make videos bashing COD, Warzone, or Activision, but then stream for 8 hours playing their game and making copious amounts of cash. As long as they keep seeing profit, Activision will change nothing.
Bro I love this guy. This my first video of him and he explains in detail why this game sucks ass. He put more effort in this video than Activision put into all of vanguard
Extinction Mode was the only 4 player co op where they decided to go to the Cosmic Horror route instead of copying Treyarch's zombies. I was mad at it at first because I thought they were trying to be Halo, but it was much cooler when I found out they weren't aliens and something more Earthly than anything.
Remember when CoD zombies was really scary, makes your heart pounding, shivering when you hear zombies screaming behind you, and jump scares sometimes, makes your adrenaline pumping? Yea, i didn't feel it anymore in this one
For me it’s not the scare, it’s the endless killing, intense training, round racing, guns blazing, perk drinking, box mashing, guns packing, and just having a good time playing zombies
I miss OG zombies that had a mysterious story, multiple things and the girl thats a spirit, and the environments making you ask just what the fuck happened, the illuminati, fucking everything.
Would be nice if we could get more 25-40 dollar games that just focus on doing one thing really well. I really don't care for fps multiplayer, but a standalone zombies title might be interesting.
In theory, that sounds nice. But look at it from the company's perspective. Why make a game only for zombies for $25-$40 when people will buy the $80 that includes both zombies and multiplayer regardless of if they play multiplayer or not. It just doesn't make sense for them, they would be losing out on more money.
The "Modern Warfare with a coat of paint" is too real. I legit thought for way too long that Cold War and Vanguard were expansions or DLC of Modern Warfare, not standalone games
They pretty much are just warzone expansions marketed as full release games but they aren't gonna put effort into it seeing as warzone is clearly their big money cow
The funny part is 2019 MW was actually a good multi-player cod experience, they've somehow regressed by completely ruining years balance in cold war An aside didn't they JUST release a ww2 game?
@@brianburkhardt3692 Why does engine matter? Idk that you know what you're talking about lol. Should be grateful that Vanguard uses the same engine as MW because they spent multiple years developing the engine.
I personally liked the early stages of Cold War Zombies. Up until about Mauer der Toten's release, it felt like a somewhat believable sci-fi horror arms race thriller story, where the American government rushed to gain any sort of advantage over Omega group's advanced Dark Aether research.
What’s sad is that they really emphasized one of the “greatest zombies experiences in COD” and it’s literally just barebones, actually not even that it’s worse than barebones!!!
13:50 vermintide 2 did ranged enemies pretty well The rat-tlingunner makes clunky sounds letting you know roughly where they are. Then, they are extremely frail and you can have a shield to block all dmg
I second this In addition they're very inaccurate, have trouble turning while firing and can friendly fire other swarming Skaven (theres even a challenge reward to making them kill a certain amount of enemies)
I honestly think Vermintide 2 is so underrated. Sure the online needs more polish but you can feel the passion in that dev team and the game is so fun and has some decently high replay value.
Vermintide 2 has one major problem which is the loot system. That’s also my biggest fear for Darktide. There doesn’t really need to be as in depth and grindy of a loot system as they have now. Just give us load outs we can upgrade
@@CollinandBri Personally I think think loot system becomes kind of useless when you play a lot. @@CollinandBri yea, it's really complicated if we think about it. On one hand we want to be rewarded with the unlockment of high quality items and different builds, on the other, it is a grind
Honestly, if they made a Zombies Mode for Halo Infinite with the Flood, and if they did well with it, I'm sure a lot of people would play the fuck out of it. Given the fact that Halo and CoD have always had that sort of "rivalry" for spot as best FPS, it could be a chance to deal a HUGE blow to Activision and CoD as a whole and hopefully kick them enough to where they finally start to get their shit together
Vanguard sales alone should be enough to tell Activision and all its studios to start actually trying, and with the whole Microsoft buyout, they now have another chance to make a good game. I have hope that MW2 will be better, I always have hope that a game can be good but usually that hope is ripped from me.
Yeah just got off the phone with the devs of halo infinite they said they just have to sell a few more 20 dollar skins and then they will release halo flood in 3 years and forge and co op multiplayer will be in 5. 🤡
FFS *HALO ALREADY HAD A GODDAMN WAVE BASED ARCADE MODE* It would be so fucking easy to turn that into a vod zombies like with the Flood...... why is that not happening......
Something to mention is that Jason Blundell, the old director of the zombies mode is working at his own studio now. I hope his team is going to make something similar to CoD zombies, but a full game.
In my opinion the Cold War zombies was okay, it got really good closer to the end. Outbreak was a cool idea and I believe people give Cold War zombies a lot of shit because it's not the classic zombies experience. Having round based maps and Outbreak was a great idea cause there is something for everyone.
Yeah I personally like outbreak alot but I wish they kept updating and bringing all the old maps with each game so if you want round based we had some good maps
It was mt first zombies i really enjoyed it allot with friends i mean they liked bo3 best but to me i though cold war was really fun because i enjoy the grind and skins but after a while i kinda started doing other things i just played it a bit too much maybe one day
I am normally a BO1-BO3 elitest, but cold war was actually genuinely phenomenal. Giving you the option to have a knife as your weapon of choice and have it actually be useful at very high rounds was a really fun concept to fiddle with. It was insanely expensive and you had to get either really lucky or play very much economically to stay up with the wave.
You can see and feel the games feel more and more hollow with each game. From a game full of constant. Story’s that makes you feel emotions and have tons of stuff and make you grind and work for stuff. And now it’s just empty. You can feel it get empty over time. Take like modern warfare the original and then Cold War or even the new modern warfare. I think the little bit less polish on the games and the simpler market back then made the games feel more full. There artist that lost there drive to creat and now just do it to get a pay check each month. Truly sad to see this giant of a franchise fall from the inside out
Cold War Zombies taught me that innovating zombies was a great thing. Vanguard Zombies taught me that you can also completely misunderstand what that innovation was and why it worked.
They’re too busy abusing their interns to actually make a good, working game by the absurd deadlines they create for themselves. Legitimately ashamed to admit I bought the game, because the trailer actually looked great.
*If* they do make another game or any game in general, it is best you wait for review videos first before buying the game. That's what I'm doing nowadays.
Damn, I didn't think it could get worse after cold war zombies. The team has clearly lost all ambition and drive to create the masterpieces of maps that they used to.
@@lego007guym8 HARD disagree. Cold war zombies had alright gameplay but was just trying to appeal to mass audience and lost the phenomenal Easter eggs, characters, story line, and map design. As for the writing, considering all the context of what's happening to Activision in general now, we should be glad we got a decent coherent plot at all. Mostly because I doubt we're gonna get another anywhere as good.
So they looked at outbreak and said "yes, this is the future of zombies", then proceeded to rip a huge line and absolutely demolish the shit out of this game mode by replacing it with a somewhat ok game mode from cold war. This is the peak of their creative genius and I am absolutely blown away that all they could do was make a rehashed zombies that's kid friendly. Wow
DANG. Never thought I'd hear Bricky give something such a total death sentence. If he can't find any redeeming qualities in a product that's a REAL bad sign.
I feel like the soul of the series is just gone, it has been completly snuffed out and replaced by corporate greed. As a possible future game developer I see inspiration for storys and gameplay from the older zombie titles, from the new ones I've learned what NOT to do so hey that's the first positive thing I have to say about Vanguard.
I’m surprised that you didn’t mention the fact that Pack-A-Punch and the perk machines go hand-in-hand with each other and they just nuked the perk machines from existence, replacing them with completely different things, then keeping Pack-A-Punch.
I legitmately SLAMMED my fucking desk when I heard there was no pack-a-punch camo, everything else was already bad, but holy shit how can you desecrate the fundamentals to that degree.
It makes no sense, cause it literally doesn’t take any effort to do at all. All you have to do is just slap a texture jpeg and that was apparently that was too much work for them
Makes me miss one thing about WW2 Zombies, where you could choose whether to keep the gun's original look or give it the sick PAP camo. I'll admit sometimes I'm in the mood just to keep the gun looking the same, but just give everyone the option, how hard could it really be?
The problem with this version of zombies is you never feel like your in danger. It takes like a full hour to feel any challenge at all if you play solo. One time I had to stop playing two hours in because otherwise I would have been sitting there forever. I think if you successfully exfil you should restart where you left off. I don’t understand the point of exfil, you don’t get rewarded you might at well just leave the game.
The problem with this zombies is we've played it all before in Outbreak... & that was a miles better experience & even that wasn't great! This is just Outbreak but with worse gameplay, worse map, worse objectives! I could go on! Nobody wants to do the same 3 objectives over & over & over again! It's so mind numbingly boring! & the best part is 2 of the 3 objectives you don't even have to kill any zombies to complete them 😂 When they first announced Cold War zombies I was skeptical but it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had on zombies, was easy for newer players to understand, the maps weren't amazing but they were enjoyable & had replay value! This zombies you play it once & you're done with it forever! I can't believe they made all these small improvements in Cold War zombies just to ruin them in Vanguard! The gamemode is a complete mess! No zombies youtubers wanna touch it, no casuals wanna play it, it's embarrassing! & not only that the map is just multiplayer maps it's not even original maps 😂😂 they should have just done a zombies chronicles 2 for Cold War & left out a third game mode or made it spec ops like MW2. Hopefully it gets better as time goes on but from what I've seen from leaks it's not getting any better which is a shame because I loved zombies in BO3 & Cold War.
seriously? cold war? I played the beta and it was one of the most non call of duty things i've ever played lmao. Cold War is so fking boring and the health bars? Are we trying to make a COD zombies a fking RPG?
I bought Cold War a few days ago because of the Black Friday Sale and I've been having an absolute blast with it. Although it's not the best zombies game (Bo3 is my favorite), I've had tons of fun with it. Although the maps aren't that great, I've had most of my fun with Outbreak and Firebase Z. It has fun movement mechanics and I can't help but love the der wunderfizz, along with its amazing customizations with weapons and progression systems. Vanguard on the other hand... Haven't played it, but from all its criticisms, I don't want to touch it lmao.
The problem is, they will never make a zombies mode as good as bo3 or bo2 for that matter, not unless they really put their heart into it, Wich won't happen and if they are given enough time to dedicate to making it good, once a cod game comes out, they should put the updates and dlc in the hands of a cod company not involved with the next game so the devs can focus all their time and effort on making the cod game we know that they can, cause they've done it before.

In an alternate dimension, all 3 studios work on every game together. Each being in charge of the 3 facets of gameplay: Story Mode, Zombies/Survival, & PvP/Co-Op. Graphics & functionality would be universal for each studio.
And in that alternate dimension, this new Call of Duty game only comes out every couple years once the whole game is completed. Everyone is happy because they were able to get their full mileage out of the previous game, they don’t feel like they literally wasted their money if there was a cool blueprint they decided to splurge on, and nobody is entirely fatigued of the franchise as a whole. Man, wouldn’t that be nice.
I'm very glad this happened, honestly. Cold War had a good gameplay loop that got stale the same way training on Kino does. They had a risky idea for a way to switch it up so they try it on the BS game that nobody cared about rather than the real followup. Once it became clear it was bad, they throw in shi no numa to apologize, and hopefully learn from the mistakes for BO6 or whatever. As for you paying full price for a third of a game that was rushed as a bad experiment? That's on you for buying a Sledgehammer game
People still bought it, so it worked for them. The problem isn't actually the fact that they tried to make a complicated zombies, it's they tried to make a complicated zombies in 1 year because they want more money that they don't need.
Bo3 is quite complicated and people like that, IW and WW2 remained as complicated as that and are decent/great at what they were going for, but people didn't even bother to try them, define "complicated"
i played MW2 and MW3. I enjoyed those. They didn’t have zombies. They had spec ops which was so fun on Survival. It was its own thing. Infinite Warfare tried reinventing the mold into something people didn’t want from Infinity Ward. I can’t speak on WW2 as I didn’t play it tho, but I heard the MP was pretty good.
What I’ve seen so far: -reskin of MW -reskin of CW Yeah no, that’s about it Edit: got into the video a little bit more, and some of these things actually sound like fun if done right. For example, the zombie with a mini gun. If done right (like in Zombie Army), the challenge could be rewarding or just fun to do

If there was a polished zombie game that was effectively just reskinned BO2/3 with clear passion and creativity behind the project I would buy it in a heartbeat.
We are seeing the beginning of the end as you said. Honestly after MW3 it went downhead, however I do think people got too much wrong about ghosts and infinite warfare compared to what came after (not counting zombies for BO3) was slim picking. Especially after COD WW2 I knew it was over. Bad/blizzard's blueprint to using the least amount of work for a product was complete.
As someone who came off the high of Cold War zombies, something that I actually really really loved despite its flaws and that I actually do consider my favorite zombies mode in CoD at this point, I was unironically incredibly excited for what Vanguard Zombies could be. They had the Cold War system to build off of, they had Treyarch lending itself to them, they had all the feedback in the world as to what did and didn't work in Cold War and what direction to take. Despite that, for some odd reason, they just proceeded to throw literally everything away and build on the least popular mode, strip away every system introduced in Cold War, and ignore any and all feedback about what fans want in some desperate attempt to remake the wheel. I just don't at all understand what they were thinking when they made this, if they were at all.

But sledgehammer idk what they are doing, Treyarch had to literally took their project (project that SH and Raven worked on it) to make Cold War when it wasn't their idea. Yes Treyarch is doing some weird qhit since BO4 but when you cat catch a break because you have a studio like SH that you have to constantly help well YEAH it leads to Vanguard zombies
@@xNemesis_ tryarch took the campaign for bocw and made it there own characters and then tryarch took over the multiplayer and all that shit and sledgehammer knows how to make a good game they just need time like everything else and they didn’t get the time they needed
@@Koolaidbloke you can check the reports, they took what SH and Raven did because they can't act like adults and built it from there. It's like asking to a new creative director to builld a game from another creative who left, that task is nearly impossible. All i'm seeing is Infinity ward and Treyarch were capable to put good Cods in short amount of times and with stupid crunch even tho both had some bad cods since PS4 (except MW19). Sledgehammer always was the weakest compared to the other 2, financially and community wise. They should just put SH as a support studio, give more times to 3arc and IW and give a shot to Raven. After that long time support i think they deserve it but Activision has the last word
I feel vanguard zombies is too easy. You can get OP weapons drops from zombies, and the drops only get stronger as you progress. I have NOT used the mystery box ONCE, LIKE AT ALL after playing it again months. There are lots of other things that make this more so easy, mainly imo, the classes. If one could start from scratch like the classics, I think it would be more challenging. I hope, with Microsoft buying Activision, things will start to improve
@@FemkjeMW That bullshit "tier system" really fucked it up in my opinion. They need to take Zombies back to B03 gameplay with everything great about Cold War and the horrifying, dark tone of WaW and ramp it up to ten. In addition to an actual crew again.
@@Jules279with bo2 progression and starting worldbuilding too, remember how scary it was when you were in a miniscule building at the start of tranzit and you were seeing tens of zombies coming at you? Scary but awesome, the maps were little but that made it scary and amazing, the claustrophobic start in tranzit, and so little space to move, the destroyed ambience made you feel dread from the inside and even hopelessness, because there was no chance of survival, i wouldn't mind zombies maps that are big but with the same dark start as bo2 or little zones on the maps, bo3 amazing, nothing to say, WaW awesome, i would like to hear creepy background noises again, and the sound of some weapons like the ppsh or sniper sounds, put these 3 together, and u get a banger imo, hope you liked my analysis
Considering this has been the straw that's breaking the camel's back of the Zombies for a lot of people, even content creators, I didnt think it was this atrocious...
@15:53 i agree. I think weapon rarity is a great thing. I always hated that there used to be like only a handful of guns there were viable past round 30. But the rarity system allows the player to be able to use literally any gun they like and actually play with it up to whatever round they want. I always liked shotguns in zombies but they were always shit after 20/25. In CW zombs I just run around with my Hauer and I can't be stopped. Sometimes I'll grab a second gun if I'm feeling sexy but for the most part I'm running through all enemies with just my shotty.
There is one thing that you didn’t touch on in this. It’s easy. It is painfully easy. You are spoonfed weapons, ammo and armour to the point that once you max the perks in the game which takes 25 minutes you don’t even need to reload. You don’t ever run out of ammo because there are so many ammo drops it isn’t even an afterthought. You hold the trigger and just stand in a spot and mow down the horde in an objective. In a 3 hour play through I didn’t once get even close to being downed. It was so boring we didn’t even bother exfil. We just turned it off.
@@spiderguy7620 catering a game to new, inexperienced players can have bad results for longtime fans and players because the game is too easy and not challenging enough to hold their attention. "It's like watching your favourite thing just get abused by people who have no idea what the hell they're doing" don't worry you grow numb to the pain. Alien, Fallout, Rainbow Six.. most of my favourite series have become absolute mockeries of what they originally stood for.
Agreed. it's honestly killing my love for the hobby and it's causing me to develop trust issues. I just can't tell if a game can be good or not anymore, and even when it is, it usually not as good as maybe the older games from that series.
I'm very certain that zombies was merely an afterthought that was hastily rushed at the end stages of development. Nothing about this mode looks even remotely thought-out or enthusiastic. It's almost like Activision's employee abuse was what led to this game-mode being so unpolished and underdeveloped.
@@spimpsmacker6422 I'm just saying it was kinda unpolished bc it was just a random one off mode. It had glitch spots and the possibility for infinite rounds and it was really bare bones with almost nothing. Don't get me wrong it's still good but it's unpolished and underdeveloped
I had this video on the background while I was doing the other things and I had to stop whatever I was doing and open up the video to see that you were not BS'ing here even as a joke. This right here makes me cry. I heard things here and there that the new CoD game messed up the Zombies, but I didn't expect it to be this bad. Thank you for showing the footage as well and not just talking even tho seeing the changes hurt more.
Another thing with the newer cods is they seem to think constantly pushing graphical quality to the limits is a good thing, but all its doing is increasing the barrier of entry to the game in a way that does not even make them money. It makes people with lower end pcs not even able to play their new games, they are pretty much alienating a whole group of people for the sake of making their game look shinier. I had this issue when cold war dropped because I hadnt upgraded my pc yet.

That's what I thought. I figured they didn't actually get three years. Good on you for getting out

Remember when CoD zombies was really scary, makes your heart pounding, shivering when you hear zombies screaming behind you, and jump scares sometimes, makes your adrenaline pumping?
Yea, i didn't feel it anymore in this one
I think I'd prefer to play call of duty infinite over this. I don't even touch vanguard, I play warzone and black ops
You remember the World at war days? Thats classic.
For me it’s not the scare, it’s the endless killing, intense training, round racing, guns blazing, perk drinking, box mashing, guns packing, and just having a good time playing zombies
feel like i just got older it wouldn't scare me the same anyway
Classic cod zombies is so nostalgic
Well look at back for blood im pretty sure that was a flop even before release and that was its own zombies game

13:50 vermintide 2 did ranged enemies pretty well
The rat-tlingunner makes clunky sounds letting you know roughly where they are.
Then, they are extremely frail and you can have a shield to block all dmg
I second this
In addition they're very inaccurate, have trouble turning while firing and can friendly fire other swarming Skaven (theres even a challenge reward to making them kill a certain amount of enemies)
You can get to a point were gear you get doesn't matter because you can create and fully upgrade any weapon to your liking. @@CollinandBri yea, it's really complicated if we think about it.

I'd play that low key the flood was always my favourite faction in halo
Vanguard sales alone should be enough to tell Activision and all its studios to start actually trying, and with the whole Microsoft buyout, they now have another chance to make a good game.
I have hope that MW2 will be better, I always have hope that a game can be good but usually that hope is ripped from me.
Well we got floodfight now sooooooo

I love coming back to this video and see bricky shitting on vanguard all over again, jolly great fun
I really enjoy Outbreak
It was mt first zombies i really enjoyed it allot with friends i mean they liked bo3 best but to me i though cold war was really fun because i enjoy the grind and skins but after a while i kinda started doing other things i just played it a bit too much maybe one day
Agree.

Vanguard: this is the worst zombies!
Modern Warfare 3: the worst zombies *so far*
@@GPmayne Zombies wasn't available in the beta? I'm talking specifically zombies not multiplayer! I never said Cold War was this GOATED game but it was enjoyable & was fun for what it was! Ok so grinding out the same 3 objectives is boring… isn’t simply holding out wave after wave kinda the same thing? That also gets boring to me unless there’s an Easter egg involved.

The german speaking zombies deff creeped me out, was a nice touch
I'm very glad this happened, honestly. Cold War had a good gameplay loop that got stale the same way training on Kino does. They had a risky idea for a way to switch it up so they try it on the BS game that nobody cared about rather than the real followup. I love how they never learn.
Everytime they tried to make zombies complicated it never worked.
So why would it work now?
People still bought it, so it worked for them. The problem isn't actually the fact that they tried to make a complicated zombies, it's they tried to make a complicated zombies in 1 year because they want more money that they don't need.
