I eventually quit since I noticed the senior managers I was associated worked with the firm for over 10-15yrs making this their home & did everything in their power to survive in the first holding their posts & valuable pay cheques. They were toxic, would throw you under the bus for any random issue and pressurise, randomly micromanage the team. Also there is no one who can voice against them the partner in the next level would never know since it would never be reported and the HR works hand in hand with these senior managers. As an ex employee I can tell you on an average you work for 11 hrs minimum and you are expected to be available over weekends as well. And the time you fill in the system is 40 hours in a week. And if you refuse to be available over weekends or late in the evening citing being busy they may be okay with slight reluctance but will mess up your yearly appraisal and growth. No person should work for more than seven hours per day. Only then you will have best quality output and sustained productivity. Seven hours of work, around 2.5 hours of commuting and one hour of lunch and tea break. Rest of time has to go eight hours of sleep, some exercise, family time, skill updation and social life. What are we running for? Why should projects have to be completed like yesterday?? Work at easy paces, work less, have less productivity but very high standards. The world has to learn to function at a slower pace and be satisfied with less of everything. Consequently even the health issues, mental and physical, will reduce drastically. Be satisfied with fewer pairs of clothes and footwear. Be happy with simple furniture in your house. No need to take expensive vacations. Our middle class is killing itself for these absolutely superficial gains.
Instead of hiring extra employees these people take advantage of high demand of jobs and make employees overwork. It is also employees responsibility to take care of their health and it's better to do job which pay a bit less instead of taking huge workload for the sake of premium salary.

it would be ideal to know how many of the GSIs and the big 4 have actually registered under local labor laws , and how many of them applied , when and the status
Trend of continuos layoff in private sector post Covid-19 is the main reason for long working hours. There is immediately need to reform the labour's laws and have a restrict guideline for layoff in India. MNC are laying off employee's in the name of cost cut and growing profit YoY.
My humble opinion is...this is not a EY problem...problem is toxic Indian work culture..we need to educate our people to identify such behaviours and have laws and techniques to manage such work places.
How do we Indians behave in the office when a colleague leaves at 6:00 pm. Takes his tea breaks and Lunch breaks...are there inside jokes....people who are looking forward to go home on time are labelled non-commited
I have been doing 10-11 hrs shift everyday in iEnergizer noida for almost 2 years now. It’s painful to justify working hrs now. 😢 They deduct basic salary if you come late for 0.1 second post 3 late instances for almost 6k in single go. Doesn’t matter if a person is genuinely late in any condition.
There should be provisions to regulate work from home also, currently no labour kaw talks about it
Now let’s get the list of people who took money to unsee the Existence OF EY IN PUNE
They will pay the money to authorities and go free from all long hour allegations. Salute to india
plz check in ufaber in bangalore..employees who r who working under gautam ganesh who is the manager,,bharat senior manager, anirudh the ceo all of them r harassing, mentally torturing to their employees specially to freshers, doing 100 of wrong things to them like asking all the senior employees to forcefully fight with freshers, torture them, giving overwork, stealing their sallary by manager, putting 100 of false allegation, circulates 100 of lies n wrong story forcing them to resign just bcoz they hurt the ego of manager unintetionally..their ego is so so big it is hurting on small small things....every month atleast 1 employee is suiciding bcoz of all these things but police is also eating money from them n put all the blame on victim n defend the criminals only n similar things happening in sairam colllege of engn in bangalore n tamilnadu also..plz check their history..many ugly things willl come out
Who are all these managers?? I was in Bangalore team and an ex employee... did you reaching out Suresh MK. Send him anamoyus email explaining this.
For get congress govt, what is doing Modi rule last 10 year. He told in 2014 , to clean india with perfect system. Even in major cities is like this. Hos out put ZERO. Cheating man. He is only drama man. No action
@@SivaramanCheri is it so easy to clean the entire system with the backlog since independence. Think ourselves. All of us are not clean. It is easy if it starts from ourselves.
@@ManilalMSSo Bajpayee govt also didn’t do anything?
@@swastikrajghosh why are asking to me?
@@ManilalMS because you said there was a backlog since independence. Although not sure if you meant 1947 or 2014, but I considered 1947. So I thought you knew inside stuff
@@swastikrajghosh you must consider who ruled India most of the time. No Government , even current, never consider work life balance in the case private sector employees.
Airplanes are insured. Profits are not. Moreover, pilots are at rest most of their time in flights. Workers' rights are acceptable unless labour is abundant like in India, workers are replaceable, free to leave if they don't like the working environment and no remorse by business owners don't care about your laws because they're immune from legal actions. Bullying is a normal state of affair in India continuously unopposed over the past 25 years of oppression of minority and certain caste. Laws are good talking points but useless on enforcement. Reduction of population is necessary
Strict labour laws has to be enforced in corporates and. companies. Welfare of employees has to be considered and welfare board has to be constituted
All 4S offices at all branches in India, must be checked after office hours, and quizz watchmen for previous one month movement of employees
Truth will come out
A person had to die, to have this discussion..Shame on EY and implementation of Labour laws. A company required to make others comply laws themselves do not adhere to rules. Hypocrisy at its best. Glorification of overwork must be stopped!
Someone investigate KPMG please
This will be lesson if any manger ask to work extra hours he will scared
Labour office should strictly watch an eye on all organisation....
This is a clear example of weak labour's laws.
the fact is validity of this news / issue / somethingelse is MAX 1week...
after that new news
dosto, they are paying TAXES to GOVT u really think they will take action / reaction on this commppuuunniieeessssss
actually they dont pay much taxes but they have become so powerful on world level that they really can create problems for politicians if they r rubbed wrongly....all big companies r under them directly or indirectly
Where's India's Labor laws? That's a question you should be asking central and state governments.
Unless you are in middle of saving a life , no other work is that urgent has people have to work like that . We humans have made artificial restrictions on ourselves to make our life as miserable as possible. This kind of corporate culture should be illegal and should not be celebrated. Hard work is not something to gloat about .
Love for the lawyer❤
This is the same culture across most companies in india
So does an unregisterd company pays tax?.the taxation is only for common people
EY India Chairman is Rajiv Memani. Not shailendra. Duuuhhhh...
Work should be 8 hours per day and 4 days in week.
5 days a week and 7 hours per day
Kuch nhi hone wala is company ka . Paise ke dum per case band hojayega
Meanwhile doctors😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂- am I in India?? Yes you are in India . One one the worst country to be a doctor. Low pay longer duty hours. No respect and yes sweet topping of violence.
MBBS - fresh salary- 40-70k pm
BDS- Frsh salary 5-8k per month
Get some experience with some near death experiences and many assaults for about 10 years you ear around 24 lpa at the age of 35+.
And a fresh engineering graduate from a farzi college want 30lpa fresher and gets 8-20 lpa range . And if your are at par with doctor in terms of colleges then 60-100lac per annum.
Make labour permit mandatory for all private and public companies
On a human level and spiritual level we have to consciously ensure that we do not harass our juniors because karma will not leave you trust me , you are spoiling your saturn which is related to labour and mass works who work below you , so be careful before mis treating someone who is working for you , it will come to bite you very bad in life.
Logic factt ..it don't follow labor law fine them imprisonn
Labour commission koi kaam kya phela soi raha tha kya jab tak koi maraigya nahi tab tak rai active nahi hotai
If the work in HDFC / EY / any other company hiring slaves , can cause death ....
How many people have resigned after realizing the fact they can die of work stress ?
How many people belong to a family who loves money lesser than their family member earning from HDFC / EY / any other company hiring slaves , ?
How many people feel that earning money from HDFC / EY / any other company hiring slaves , is more important than their life and they are ready to die earning money via HDFC / EY / any other company hiring slaves , ?
Why cant people who think they has tiny bit of brain to stay alive and earn from any org or in worst case being a maid, rather than die working as a employee of HDFC / EY / any other company hiring slaves , ?
I keep thinking why people get attracted to things that they dont want.
Throw that manager in jail
Weekly Off?? and what about working on Offs?
Why Anna's Manager's Name is not exposed? We need to know his name and he should be charged for abatement in the death of Anna. How come EY who checks on compliance with various corporate laws was guilty of non-compliance with Maharashtra Labour Laws?
That means you're not doing any productive work or are whiling away your time. First of all if you think you're being harassed or are exploited get out of that organization. Never waste a single hour. Do you want to get paid just for wasting time. Organization such as this one pays you well and if you think you can get better pay either lesser working hours go and join that organization. You're under no obligation to work for anyone.
How concern this goovt is😅😅
Lawyer was 🔥🔥
what were so called IAS doing? hopefully they get some time from making reels.
Levy a hefty fine on EY for not following rules.
Where is Narayana Murthy?
Everyone please have kids. Or else Indian population will collapse.
Yup I agree
Damn that advocate is good in argueing
India is a cost center, but does not mean robots running on battery!!
Where is the labour minister, he wants to wake up after all
layoff and resignation why way?
Why government employees get active only after this kind of incident happens.
it industry under pressure and banking industry following the the same?
which way these companies are going unemployed which way
What is the remark of labour minister of india. Mr. Mansukh Mandaviya in this case ??
