Great round, and what a thrill it must have been to play with that member, Sam. You know, you should do a "Break 65 Scramble" with that guy. Come back anytime!!!
Would have also loved to hear an ongoing impression and discussion about these clubs. You did highlight them in the title as well as this wonderful and impressive course.
You maybe watching this vid for the course or the hybrid irons? If your search is for the hybrid content, I am proof that in certain golf situations they work. I’ll be brief here I am a 62 yr old good golfer. I still have a lot of pop and drive the ball very well and long. But 2 years ago I had massive foot surgery and my game went south quick, the day before my surgery I shot a 78 on one of the hardest golf courses in my area from 6700 yards. It has been very difficult coming back and playing Ping G430, s which is a great iron, I could not consistently play golf. My goal when I tee it up is to break 80. I broke 80 a few times since the surgery and was just struggling. I hit a set of Cleveland Halos with the 5.5 graphite shaft out of curiosity mainly in the shop and loved em. The second round with em shot a 76 with some poor putt putting. There a lil chunky and ugly and I love em. Golf is fun again. They are more of an iron at address than the 11 clubs and they feel great. The shorter irons look great. It would be great to see a TH-cam golfer such as yourself give em a spin on the course for us. They are better than one would think and not just for seniors or beginners..
I play the Halos as well. Great clubs, misses are still in play. I play to a 9 and replaced my Cobra forged tec irons with them...golf became a lot more fun.
Great round Matt! Takes courage to throw yourself out there for all of us to see the good, the bad and the ugly - you will nail it the next round for sure!
I bought a set of Eleven Hybrids because of your review. I'm a senior PGA member and LOVE them. They are great out of wet rough. Looks like you did well with them!
Those greens are so difficult. SO DIFFICULT. I have played that course 3 times and I have putted more shots than to getting to the green. If I ever play there again, I will spend a whole day practicing putting before my round.
Nice round. That was a tough course, with a 10 hcp like my self, I would be happy with anything under 100, that is a tough and long course, with very unforgiving greens.
1999 I played that beast from the next tees up. At that time I hot my driver 20 more yards. After hole 3 I refused to keep score so I could enjoy the round. Multiple times I putted off the green into the fairway. You better have a pro level short game or it will be a long day.
Thanks for the video on that very tough golf course. Ungodly long holes and very fast greens. Didn't watch all the video, but you played very well on that Brutal golf course. take care.
"It broke the other way, hmmm" lol that sounds like something i say every round lately. We've had an extremely mild and rainy start to the season here and there is so much grain this season.
Greens are so difficult.....approach shots diabolical.....I actually putted the ball off the green on as I recall the second hole. After that I did exactly what my caddie said. Still shot in the high 80's and the course was in normal playing conditions. Can not imagine playing Open conditions. Couple of other brutal courses nearby
Great vid and score! I've only seen Horvat break par, Bryant bros broke 80, you and Josh broke 90 but the rest barely broke 100 from the tips. There was one clown who shot 76 from the whites but thats not a fair comparison.
Was this really your first time playing there? Ive played there twice, course is so incredibly difficult even from the regular tees. Love this content!
I tried the Elevens, didn’t gap well for me, my pal uses them well and wouldn’t go back to ordinary irons. Too one dimensional for me, but easy to hit in the one dimensional way.
I don’t think I would even want to play that course because those greens would make me break every club in my bag and throw the leftovers in the nearest water hazard.

Good effort. Brutal greens. The clubs worked well.

Golf would be easier if the average Joe had someone yelling “get it in the hole” after every tee shot on a Par 5 like the pros do. It’s unfair.
That drives me nuts. I can hardly watch golf on TV anymore. Screaming and golf don’t go together…unless you hit a bad shot.
My municipal course was designed by Mr. Ross. The greens are the same way. Big false fronts that make it hard to hold the greens.
warren valley ?

Nice round I had my very first eagle on this course decades ago I played the men’s regular tees though.First time with a caddie also.
Love watching your swing before I go to practice. Mental image helps me get through some rough times.
Man you struck the ball so well out of the sand/rough with those hybrids! Really impressive stuff
I would love to see another challenge with the Eleven Golf set on another difficult golf course. Thanks for the great videos👍👍👍👍
It's all about the "short game"... Great video

Awesome, great content, your swing tempo matches your attitude, smooth from start to finish.love it, Thanks.

lol @ 23:42 . My man didn’t even hole the putt yet 😂
There were many instances where it was obvious they were trying to keep the pace of play up. 8:06 for example.

take care.
Really enjoy your videos
From the tips with hybrids, that’s crazy!
Thanks for showing us more of the course.. on tv We just get to see the fairways..😂❤
Love your stuff
Show idea especially on such an iconic course…use your gamers!
Quick WITB and then show 18 holes. Thanks so much for your channel
"It broke the other way, hmmm" lol that sounds like something i say every round lately. We've had an extremely mild and rainy start to the season here and there is so much grain this season.
You need to go play Tobacco Road in Cary NC.
Would love to see you play Pinehurst #2 with your regular clubs. Guessing there would be quite a difference in scoring.
What shafts were you playing? You were hooking everything.

Ur “from the tips!” At the end tickled me good
For mid to low caps do SGI clubs really make a difference ?
Can you really buy a better game
How did the Eleven driver work. Is it forgiving?

Matt great job, Donald Ross should re-design Master course
I’m impressed with your temperament. Wish I had it.
I just played a round at another Ross gem down there....Pine Needles...and the greens are just as difficult
Was this really your first time playing there? Ive played there twice, course is so incredibly difficult even from the regular tees. Love this content!
First time ever
#2 is definitely the hardest course I have ever played, hope you got to play #4. That is my favorite of all the pinehurst courses.
I played years ago just before the US open and the greens like to kill me. Had a great time.
I am playing Bethpage Black this Sat. Have you ever played ?
Not yet
Dude, the 3 wood under the tree for 190 to 10 ft was sick. Nice shootin, Tex

What brand is the Hybrids?
Eleven. They are made in the UK
@@ctuagent31they scuff up very quickly, easy to play but will not last very long
caddy looks like daniel riccardo
Those Greens are Super Fast it appears.
Do you think your score would of been better or worse with your gamer set?
Hell, I wouldn't break 100. Great job MSG
One of us
I don’t think I would even want to play that course because those greens would make me break every club in my bag and throw the leftovers in the nearest water hazard.
280 yd "drop kick" on #1 😆
Do I spy Hole in 1 Trick Shot, Mr. Josh Kelley himself?
I made this comment on the first hole...hahahaha
where are you getting the money to play all of these $500+ courses?
Your second shot was killing you left right. Didn’t see too many straight ones.
With your clubs you would have broke 80 I'll bet .
Why waste a day there doing this?
Really?
I'd definitely be using my gamer clubs instead of a full set of senior flex hybrids
