EAL, Thanks for continuing to bring these to us. I can imagine the production and logistics of putting this type of thing together can be challenging. It does not go unappreciated. Thanks.
My husband nominated me for this series as an ad for the first female golfer to join the Random Golf Club. I don't see myself tee-off from 7300yrds, though, that's a cross-country distance! Lol. Liz has really lovely and smooth swings, love to watch her vibe as well. I have been waiting for this episode to release for a long time. Looking forward for the next part!
"It Will Be Very Good For You, And Most Amusing For Me." this Gandalf quote pretty much summed up my Golf game for the first year and a half when i started playing! also Love the Content RGC always puts out! 100% one of my favorite channels on youtube!
I have to say, I was sceptical at first, because to me EAL is the star of the breaking 90's series, but man...what an absolute joy to watch! The editing, the filming, the sound...it almost like watching a movie...and oh yeah, the play golf! An absolute delight, way to go RGC!!!
My Monday has turned for the better! Love this series. Props to Liz for playing the back tees, what a warrior. Hope to be on this series soon! Fingers crossed.
Who are these people kidding, with their score goals? I just started watching enough to see their goals, haven't watched them hit a shot yet... but based on their handicaps, the scratch golfer should try to break 90 (but she won't), the 8 handicap should try to break 100 (but he won't), and the 18 handicap should try to break 110 (but he won't). Now time to watch the series and see if I'm right. That being said... excellent concept/channel that I somehow just now stumbled upon. I will watch a bunch more videos. And kudos to these three players for getting after it! This has to be an absolutely awesome experience for them!
I'm four minutes into the video and I'm already enamored with, and emotionally invested in this trio. Excellent story-telling from RGCF, as usual. Can't wait to watch the rounds!
Love it. They all have a big smile in the morning before 5 o'clock, although they know exactly what to expect. Resilience ahoy! Thank you RGC for this fantastic show.
Great series! I think the caddies need to help set the score goals because these guys have some seriously over-optimistic targets. An 18.8 would rarely break 90 at their local muni from 6200. Should be entertaining though. Chris should be another stroke over as well as his provisional on hole 3 would have been 3 from the tee not hitting 3 from where it ended up.
Meh, let them be optimistic. I think it plays into the point of the series that the courses the PGA tour guys make look semi easy are far far from it and the avg golfer over estimates their ability to score on such a difficult track.
@@ahastar1141 it's fine to be optimistic, but it kinda defeats the purpose of the series title when you know they have 0% chance of "breaking X" and they're using all their strokes within 6 holes. It would be more interesting if they had a chance to hit their goal coming down 18.
"...and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us." My favorite Gandalf quote (and its gotta be Grey). Pretty much is how I hope to approach golf, life, and anything in between... and there is nothing better than starting a week with a new breaking series!
The Breaking 90 series is always class. Thank you again EAL for the content and for saying “You Shall Not Pass” haha and if Chris is seeing this… Go Green!!!
By far my favorite series currently, and nothing beats the smooth buttery commentary we have been gifted! :D Maybe someday Ill be courageous enough to apply to be on this...
Not playing pinehurst Myself, I have been watching this golf course for about 20 years. I love the course. Who wouldn’t? The more deadly the greens the better. True greens cannot be beat.
glad i was able to stumble upon this series. such a fun and fantastic layout. being in the airforce, wish i had the ability to golf at these amazing courses.
I've played Barton Hills and it's crazy to see how even working with different elevation, grass, soil, etc. Ross uses so many signature characteristics in his courses. You can always tell when you're playing a Donald Ross course.
Every time this series drops on my subscription page it brightens up my day! Best series on TH-cam and cannot wait to see how everyone does this time around
Growing up here in Moco never really cared about golf because it was everywhere, shitted on it, thought it was boring. But then I got to play CCNC with some friends one day and fell in love with it. Seeing my hometown like this and recognizing HWY 5 is pretty cool to see. Oh and Hunter is cool as hell he the man.
I played the Jack Nicklaus in Puerto Vallarta and we had random caddies and I shot the best round of my life. They had a lot of great feedback and tips for my swing
@@jamisonju don’t get me wrong it’s always helpful and I do enjoy it. It just adds those extra eyes on me that I don’t need 😂 after a few holes I always settle in tho
I call dibs to star in the next series haha. These episodes never fail to amase me. I would love to be apart of a series like this. 5⭐ random golf club
Brilliant idea. Brilliant format. Brilliant execution. Just Bravo 👏🏼... enjoying these series thoroughly! Let us know if you need any Aussie contenders next time!
I am so glad these are back! by far my favorite series on youtube. Today i am writing to you on here and who knows maybe one day I will be there being watched on youtube on one of these breaking ________ series.
EAL your voice is absolute butter, these are the most relaxing vids on TH-cam. So much fun watching good golfers try to copy the pros, shows just how dialed in the top dogs are!
This is honestly the best series out of all TV/streaming services IMO and probably many others as well, I get excited every time I see a new one come out! It’s amazing to see the progression of your channel, not surprisingly though you put in a lot of work well done EAL and team!!
Was going to comment that too. The provisional acts as 3 from the tee since 1 was OB. He should have been hitting 4 from the provisional ball. Need to add another stroke to his counter.
I have a buddy that shoots 95-100 playing "normal" on our local muni course. I took him out and made him only use 7i down to wedges and acted as his caddy for every single shot. He shot 83. There's a lot more to golf than grip it and rip it. Golf is a lot like playing billiards. You have to continually position the ball where it is most advantageous for your skill set. Pick the clubs that prevent penalty strokes and not just the ones that go the farthest.
Mark didn’t have any illusions about his game on that first hole. The other two definitely had designs on making a statement, even if they didn’t admit it.
was liz's 2nd shot on 3 from a fairway bunker or waste area, because it looks like she grounded her club there? 26:01 you commentated 'fairway bunker.'
What’s interesting about Pinehurst, and what not a lot of people realize, is that the greens weren’t always like that. Historical photos show the greens sitting much lower to the terrain in many spots. Tinkering by Ross changed them. BUT the grounds crew frequently added sand- topdressed them- for better grass health. Unlike modern practices, they didn’t punch the greens first. Over time, the topdressing made the greens rise higher and higher. That’s why they are all so crowned.
Mark coming out with a bogey on one, while Chris and Liz got a double and a triple is the most golf thing I’ve ever seen.
if you would have told me cousin mark was making the best score on that hole after shot #2 i would have laughed in your face
I’m a scrambler! 😂😂😂
@@markastegmeier you did it the fun way. Lol
Fairways are so overrated.... Sometimes army golf works out.
@@markastegmeier that was insane and well done lol
Dear God, please give me the confidence of an 18 handicap that thinks he can break 90 from the tips at Pinehurst.
😭
And an 8 handicap breaking 90! Most single handicaps would have trouble being 20 over or less from the tips.
That's a good example of American optimism...
I’m a 2, and I shot 88… from appropriate tees… unless you’ve got your A-game going in all facets (esp chipping/putting), you’re in for a long day. So dang tough

love the 18 handicapper Mark just happy to be here, yet playing exactly how you should just down each hole, one strike at a time, calm and happy

Everything about The Breaking Series is just beautiful. The players, the caddies, the commentary and of course the courses.

You always find a great group of golfers for this series. Liz compresses the ball so nice...I'm jealous.
The breaking series are easily the best on TH-cam. The production is second to non, mixed with the dry witted commentary of Erik.... pure class 👏
My Monday has turned for the better! Love this series. Props to Liz for playing the back tees, what a warrior. Hope to be on this series soon! Fingers crossed.
