Public land being used by taxpayers who actually contribute to the city. I don't see a problem at all

Good! Enough with the romanticizing of the “unhoused”. We pay for those parks through taxes, why shouldn’t we able to use them? I’m sick of these so called “advocates” always trying to make the functioning part of society feel bad for wanting better.

There was supposed to be an oversight committee looking at where the homeless funds were going. I think that's an excellent idea but haven't heard anything about it recently. I know Counties get very much $$$ where's it going?

Why can't homeless people clean up after themselves? Were they really raised so poorly they want to live in squalor? People would be more sympathetic if they actually tried. Its infuriating how a few people who refuse to play along will keep so many people from enjoying the outdoors with their dogs.

It's hard enough to survive outside when you're homeless (even for millions of people who aren't homeless). I agree that many people are lazy, and others are drug addicted, but given the economic conditions of the nation and cost of living here, and how the Democrats have been destroying the nation for decades, it's easy to see why there are so many homeless people.

Not fair for homeless people to ruin public space. But I do believe we should find a space for them and get them the help they need. The ones who want/can be helped at least.

Have to consider mental health as well. Think if you were in their shoes and your used to a certain way of living, how would you feel? It's not coddling them its being mentally supportive and understanding knowing that you could be them at any second.

I'm all for having more open space but this feels off. First we let the housing situation get so bad that folks who grew up in SJ can't afford to live in SJ. Now we tell the homeless they can't camp on public land, but we don't tell them where they can go. I don't particularly enjoy having homeless people camping out by my front door either but think about it, homeless people aren't just going to disappear, they've got to live somewhere.

Good...i paid for that with property tax..i have been waiting patiently and they should have realize that was meant for dogs not homeless encampment. For those, who is against that, what about my rights? When i see dogs i get happy..when i see homeless folks i look the other way cuz they may ask for money or scream. Now, homeless are asking for $5 or $10 dollars, back in the days they ask for change..
