I've driven the C5 ZO6.. what a monster, such an easy car to drive though, feels tame in most instances until you unleach that LS6.. then all hell breaks loose. Love the C5 and i so want one to call my own..
@DMCarReviews hey, it's great to have gotten a response from you, I'm a huge fan of your reviews. I'm not sure how I'm getting the numbers I got, but something tells me I didn't buy my car stock. I did also modify it by bypassing the vcm, but who knows. A c5 is my dream car, but everyone talks down on me for wanting it as a daily.
@@watchdogs295 of course not, but I came from driving an old civic lx civic with a cvt and then a corolla. After driving both the accord and the c5, my favorite thing is how the acceleration hits. Using the delusion of numbers allows me to accept not having my dream car yet.
Looks like Shady Grove metro station if i’m correct. Nice to see this monster ripping on local roads. Great vid! Hoping to pick up one of these real soon
Where are you getting that information? This is a real world test. You're welcome to find a Corvette C5, get a Dragy, and show what you run on the street, preferably on a moist, post rainy day. Let's see what times you can get.
@@DMCarReviews You were short shifting at 5k the thing easily had under 6 seconds with just improved gear changes, tires just wanna spin on that damp surface tho.
@@fuze3522 Redline is ~6k, and shifting 1st gear at 5k or 6k doesn't make a difference on the time. The car makes the best torque at 3500-5000. Second gear already hits 60 so makes no difference on the time. I spun out the other gears. Maxing the redline isn't always the most effective strategy. It would have been 5.7-5.8s without the wheelspin.
@@DMCarReviews On the ZO6 it makes a big difference, peak power is at 6000 and torque at 4800 so it loves to be revved out, for the best time you gotta shift at 6500 in that car. Also the LS1 makes peak 350 hp at 5,600 and torque at 4,400 so you were still short shifting it.
@@fuze3522 Doesn't make a difference in this car. You can shift at 5-6k and get similar times. It's got a wide power curve. Many cars are programmed to short shift for better times, like the M340i, Stinger GT, etc. If you look at runs, you'll see most of them short shift on 1st gear. You're welcome to post your Dragy runs, and show us your results.
Thats damnn crazy never thought a old c5 had head up display lol ridiculous technology for. A old guy most old cars dont have it
GM started building cars with HUD in the 1980s

Nice! They are cool cars :)
I keep thinking i need a c5 but i gotta be grateful for my 5.7 second 0-60 in my honda accord v6. I got it good.
I have the Accord V6 at 6.7 seconds
If its not the 2.0t then its not in the 5s.
Don’t just go off of numbers it ain’t the same

What?!! Where? What car were you driving?
Lol 😂 small world never know what u will run into or who lol
Been driving a c4 for last 4 years considering getting a c5... Can't decide if i want a c5 or a mid 90's c4
If you can find one and have the funds Get a C4 zr1, you’ll smoke c5s all day. Love that c4 dash.

Yes, that is correct! Thank you for watching.
I prefer this version of the car with the fast back rear window. Other one looks ugly
If that's the stock exhaust I'm impressed
It's stock.
She sounds good 👍🏾 lol
You said small trunk?? Lol the hatch is huge my boy!!
Fairly small trunk in my opinion
@DMCarReviews are you use to driving fiats?
would you do POV drives of subscribers’ cars or anyone else’s personal cars of that matter in the future?
Id like to see that
I film all cars! If you'd like me to film your car, shoot me a DM on Instagram.
Want one so bad😢
This one is a good deal! Check it out.
Not the passenger seatbelt buckle coming off at 9:47. I guess good thing there wasnt a passenger
Ahah
Test the 2020 Toyota sienna
Is it bone stock?
Yes
2:32 no its not 😭 its the biggest of all corvettes, and u can have a third passenger laying there.
Seemed very small to me
@@DMCarReviews small for a car, big for a corvette
Only 18K miles and first gear already grinds ..... 🤔
Yes, unfortunately.
Stock 2000 mustang gt does 0-60 in 6 sec either you can’t drive or this isn’t at sea level
Sea level. I invite you to come try and do better :)
Why's it so scary ?
Small, light, you can feel all the bumps, loud, claustrophobic
@DMCarReviews The interior looks a little chintzy too .
yea this interior is loud and claustrophobic its a corvette... its not supposed to be "luxury" this wasn't a very good review.
I am sharing my impressions... If you don't like hearing the truth, this isn't the right channel for you.
6.4 seconds? LOL C5 can do 4.6 0-60
