Watching these old videos is crazy now, you would never tell.
It's kind of funny when they're talking about him making excuses and now we know why, I'm So glad he's happy now and doesn't have to hide who he is on the inside.

Yeah, finding out that he's actually gay, I had to rewatch this and it's so crazy. Now when they talk about him making excuses for not hanging out, you know why. You know why he was so close with Elissa. You wonder who all knew at the time of this when it was made. His sexual preference has no effect on his skateboarding. In fact, like a lot of them have said. Finding out he's gay makes him more rad. I'm just glad to see that BA can live his life without that weight on his shoulders of having to hide it from everyone and I love the support and feedback he has received throughout the community. Shows just another reason why skateboarding is such an amazing thing.

Ed and Mike were atop a quarterpipe, they were both trying like "nose wheely" (Maldanados Words) tech trick on this flattop long pyramid, and I said to Ed do you care if I skate with you guys, he looked dead at me and said go for it. I was trying a benihana over this hip, at the time the trick wasn't well known, I remember Steamer asking what it was and me not knowing what it was called. It was a blast skating alongside these legends at the time. Thanks for having me, and thanks for making it memorable. Landing that trick and hearing the Toy Machine team going wild cheering was a great moment in an otherwise boring life. Thanks Ed!

In addition most of these people work for a living unless they are fortunate enough to get sponsored. Would you say the same about any other sports person (or musician or useless celeb) that they should "be usefull to society" ? i doubt it. I get your point about damage to public property but i think it'd great that skaters/rollerbladers etc have the creativity of mind to look at a ledge, rail or some other object and use it in a totally new and different way.It is not about vandalism in any way

JT is one of my favorites of all time just because when I was growing up he was my absolute favorite, and his old parts and his style are still amazing- I still think his part in Welcome to Hell is one of the best and probably my favorite of all time, BUT... he kind of seems like somewhat of a dick. The whole thing with him and Marisa Dal Santo, on one hand he gave her her first video part and hooked her up with boards and put out a guest model for her that sold really well, and he gave her a job at Black Box, but on the other hand, you have to wonder if she would have ended up going pro had she come up under someone other than the chief. I mean she won gold at X games what, three different times? And she had what's still regarded as the best female video part of all time (Strange World). But she never went pro? When people like Leticia Buffooni got all this success while being infinitely less fun or interesting to watch skate. Even Breana Geering is seeing more success than gnar-Mar ever did. Idk why I'm ranting about this stuff that has nothing to do with BA whatsoever though lol.

well uh idk if you're aware of this very simple fact but this is the youtube comment section, not a language class so if you couldn't tell by now I'm making fun of how boring and over reactive you were to my original comment

So cool about the mirror video concept, Bruce Lee use to mirror Muhammad Ali's boxing matches because Lee was a southpaw fighter and Ali was orthodox.

Yeah fair enough... I mean a little look into the daily life of a good skater is great, but they should really steer clear of judging someone's physical appearance. The only thing that has to be pretty are the tricks.

That's not a trait that is exclusive to skaters. We should all strive to be like that. You only live once, might as well be as happy as possible. :)
