This documentary makes me want to start skating again. Being 39 years old now and remembering when I was TJ's age I was in my prime but life had other plans for me. I'm sure a lot of other older cats who skated in the 90's and early 2000's feel the same way when watching certain skate videos. This video ignites a passion that I to often forget about and it feels good.
Do it homeboy. I got pushed over the edge last year in August. After 3 sprains on each ankle I quit in 2012, also because I started college and the rest is history. But I hopped back on, started doing 30 minute warm ups beforehand and stretches on my off days, took it slow, and now I’ve already got kickflips and all the basics back. The future of the sport is with these younguns, but we can definitely still shred and write our own shit if we want. Every time I see something like this that motivates me I can go out and get some too now. Best decision I ever made to skate again.
@@gmunni8610 I started again 3 months ago and it’s the best decision I’ve made in a while, skateboarding is the best. Like you I now warm up for about 30 minutes also and stretch and it definitely helps alot. Been seeing good gains so it’s motivating.

to each his own, I know, but I have to disagree. Arguably my favorite thing about TyShawn is the fact that he doesn't do his tricks perfectly, that's what separates him from the Shanes and the Nyjahs, in my opinion; it's what makes his skating seem so raw and intense. He is cut more from the cloth of guys like Stevie Williams, Herman, Dill, and most of the FA guys honestly in that his tricks are more stylish than perfect. For a trick to be stylish it almost by defnintion can't be done perfectly, because otherwise it's robotic. Perfection is generally the enemy of style. His flip tricks look different every time, that's why nearly every trick is so 'new' feeling in his parts, and why certain guys who skate super clean can have parts that become samey and redundant, even tho the tricks they are doing are pretty technical. Tyshawn doesn't do his flip tricks and/or grinds perfectly at all, and that's precisely what makes his parts so awesome and his skating so exciting. He does have great board control tho, we agree there.
@@WinedandDined27 Definitely feel the same, watched a lot of skating when I was getting into it but Tyshawn was the first guy I really remember watching for hoursss because the style was so polarizing and still is to me. I think that's what really drew to Na Kel Smith before I found TJ too
