220F was so much in demand even after its discontinuation, bajaj was forced to bring it back. That’s one bike that hasn’t changed since its inception. Good thing about that bike is, you can take it anywhere especially here in Nepal and the bajaj is such a big brand here, you go anywhere, you’ll get spare parts for pulsars in any roadside mechanic shop even in the remote areas. If any other bike breaks down in remote areas here, you’ll be messed up but it’s completely opposite for Bajaj 150 and 220F. People still buy 220F A LOT here in Nepal. It is a legend for a reason.
Im from west bengal and trust me, 220f sells like hotcakes here. The main factor for buying a 220f is emotion emotion and only emotion. Its a great bike of its time. But now it is surpassed by competition. But what competition doesn't have is the fanbase. There is a loyal fanbase for 220f . I've personally known many people who bought a 220f back in the 2008-9 and after 8-10 years they sold that and bought bs4 220f. Its the 1st time a company wants to discontinue a bike but cant cause the buyers can't let them do.
This video evokes a positive emotion. I wish for more products from Indian manufacturers which result in such good emotional response from the customers and reviewers alike! 10/10 for the video and summary! 😊

The answer is always in the money. Bajaj may not be convinced that the effort to create an Xpulse rival is worth the effort seeing its sales numbers - Hero might value those sales because it needs to enter, stay and gain in the premium segment, while Bajaj might believe they already have those three things in place.

The guy heading the chassis dynamics at Hero is the same guy who was behind the development of the original Daytona and Tiger at Triumph, so you can connect the dots.
This was a great episode, loved the Bajaj vs RE segments. And to answer your question, I think Bajaj will come out on top. I’ve been keeping up with all the RE releases and Shumi hit the nail on the head when he said they’ve gotten suspension right very few times. The first 650s were too soft and the bike would dive in when you hit the brakes, the super meteor is really uncomfortable and you can’t stand up because of the feet-forward position, the hunter was supposed to be this youthful thing but was held back by the laziness of the engine and so on.
I am not a Motorcyclist but an enthusiast. I believe customization is the name of the game in RE's case. Since they only have a few frames, availability of 3rd party suspension is very likely. If this trend continues there will soon be a brand that makes a name in offering good quality suspensions for RE bikes.
135LS was a Golden Bike in 135cc segment. Love to see Bajaj is making again good bikes.. but how many days it'll stay in market that is a point.. I have ridden my 135LS almost 2.3Lakh kms. Also taken 17,800ft. Currently own Pulsar F250. This new series are really good. But what about New F250.. ?
@dileepchandran9204 Yah.. 135LS is Great Bike.. 4V. I still miss my old 135LS.. From Kolkata to Uttrakhand Ride with luggage and extra fittings it gave me around 60-65kmpl. In whole trip I have completed without 0 trouble.
I used my cousin's 135LS for a short time and i am still seeking the combination of fun and comfort that it provided, in bikes in the current market. Shumi, if you had to pick a bike currently being sold which is closest to the 135LS, then what would that be? also, what would the closest bike be which has dual channel ABS?
Could I give you a suggestion, just in general and not related this video in particular. India is missing on someone or some critics who test the bikes with respect to speed/rpm. Many of us want to know the cruising speeds on highway at a specific RPM, like at what RPM is the bike doing cruising at 60, 70, 80, 90, 100 kmph. It is still a big segment that most YT motorcycle critics missing. Hope you consider this. I really love your content and want to see your channel grow.
I still watch these two speak no matter what motorcycle/car they are discussing whether or not I'm interested in said cars/motorcycles. I love listening to them. much love
I was really astonished while i was waiting in cut on highway when suddenly a 220f pulled in beside and i thought wow such damn good sporty bike it shouldn't have been discontinued and the next thing i saw is the modern instrument cluster from n250 !!! I was like what 😱🤯 !!!! . Only two things popped out either this guy went to bajaj for new instrument cluster or they are selling new 220f's . Turns out the later is true . One request for Shumi 😊 why dont you do motorinc first on new 220f
I have been using a 135 LS since 2012 and till now never heard anyone praise it. Hearing Shumi praise it today gave me a sense of peace that 12 years back i had made an investment and not an expense.
LS 135 is my first bike In 2010 March, I was 18 years old then, I convinced my father to buy this instead of discovery 125 , the best decision in my life, I had beautiful memories with that bike ,over 90k kilometers, countless long rides ,night rides... Thanks for reminding me of my first love🤩🤩
32:53 it reminds me of a skinny guy wearing an oversized tshirt (disclaimer: no hatred for people who wear one). No doubt the bike looks great❤ and a bit bulky because of it.
This is a great project bike to be sure.😅 looking from the side, it slanted towards the back a bit, the engine placement is a bit diagonal which clears up the initial ground clearance and then once you remove the metal knee guardrails, the pyjamas and some other bits and bobs that you don't need and suddenly you have a N125 that looks like a TRAILS bike if not a ADV. honestly, the first time i saw this bike on Bajaj's website from the side, it looked like a trails bike at the core.
The first full length video that I watched without forwarding. I was waiting for this one. Bajaj can do good stuff like Duke and speed. They just got lost in discover and pulsar. Discover st125 was really good looking, they just had to calm down. But they didn't. Even now it's better they make things simpler for customers. 125, 160, 200/250, 400 each for N and NS. THATS IT. Eight pulsars are enough. And yes refresh the NS thoroughly.
The fork sleeve reminds of the sleeves on the rods of office chairs with castor wheels. Of course, there it does the important job of providing psychology comfort that is needed for someone to feel confident that the chair would bear their weight (hard to believe, when most people confuse diameter with material strength). Clearly, here it doesn't have to do that, so it's more pretense, as Kartikeya put it.
I am just learning to ride a bike and I bought N125 on 29 oct , so just for the sake of learning I bought it and I have been riding 2 hours daily and I can say this was a good choice, I am 5.8 ft so seat height was not an issue for the siting part I find it very comfortable I think that narrow seats gives a feeling of control which I need since I am learning. For a new rider and for commuting in city or Gali roads it is a good option. But family members find the back seat a bit too high. The target audience for this bike must be people like me who want to learn a bike but don't want to spend too much and is stylish to look at giving a premium feeling.
Its such a pleasure listening watching both of you specially shumi sir is like magnet you just stick to screen earphones and enjoy Sir ji tussi great ho 😊❤
came back to comment - I SAW A LEGIT NEW 220F and yes the guy just went to the showroom and asked for it, apprantly they just had one sitting in their stock (it was manufactured in feb 2022 or 23 i dont remeber the details) and it blew my mind that someone would genuinely go ahead and buy that. The guys reasoning as to why he bought it is 1. he needed a fast bike in his budget that his mom could sit on. thats it thats all the reason.
Honestly i also wanna see his views on Honda SP 125 , though i know its not new rather than a whole video they can talk about it in some segments where they will bitch about and appreciate about SP125
Always a pleasure listening to both the gentleman. Amazing at what they do, absolute best. Watching all the videos even if i am not planning to buy the motorcycle.
There’s a small hill called Parsik hill in Belapur, a bit crowded at times but a great place to ride bikes. Y’all should check it out some time 10/10 quick summary🙌🏽
19:58 with so many pulsars on the road , i feel proud that i own a unique one AS 200 which i see rarely on road and happy to hear that shumi remember AS 🌻
Coming to the usefulness of fork sleeves would you opine they are the same as when we had them on albeit older varinars like boxers or in current generation like CT110X or pricier offerings like Interceptor? Do they matter if we don't have USD? I always thought that even having a minimal fork sleeve that spongy ribbed one on an old motorcycle like cd100 also tend to reduce dirt and leakage etc and it has been in use for quite some time. So if that wasn't a challenge back then how is this sleeve gonna pose a challenge now?
I got a 16year old Pulsar 150 which has aged like fine wine handles great, and has the step in power/torque like what shumi experienced in N125, that is Pulsar DNA, good that Bajaj added this feature/power curve in a Fi bike🫡
It is true, location matters, in darjeeling, west Bengal it's only NS & N newer gen bikes are popular but still it does act as an all rounder, because in hills, according to me, good torque at lower rpm is required , keeping in mind that rider + pillion = 120~150 kgs, for me hunter 350 is working as a charm, big rear tyres, 2&3 gear at hills 😍 no worry of shifting gears constantly, abs, vibration is there but, by far the best, even better than xpulse 200,
Hi, i have a tvs raider, yes it is not that smooth but fun ,does buying a higher voltage battery with the same size make it a tvs raider igo?i heard igo is smoother as it gets better power supply from battery. Whats your take on it?
Absolutely spot on about the pajamas Shumimasan! 😂 amazing video as always! Requesting your views on the EICMA 24, very much interested to know Karthik's view on the GR 86 rally.
Wait for it, the current one is pretty old. I think the new one will have considerable changes, slimmer exhaust is big change and maybe they'll clear the wobble issue too.
As the new interceptor spotted testing with so many changes like the new suspension setup and display etc. so I think the new GT can also get these updates. That's the reason I was a little confused about getting the 2024 model.
Alright, I'm a little confused. I remember Shumi saying that there was something off about suspension on the N250. Here, i heard him say otherwise. Could you please clarify?
Bajaj approach might lead to more sales but with royal enfield same platform approach they can focus their resources on perfecting that platform which means higher quality and potentially lower costs over time plus it will give the bike a more recognizable classic look and feel.
I think quality and RE are two different poles of a magnet. RE has a great advertisement and marketing team for sure that makes their bike look prettier than what they actually are. Their paint jobs are a hit or a miss. But the way they tell a story and manipulate the minds of prople will be studied in future MBA courses. Is super meteor really the best quality bike in india at that price segment? NO! It sure is the best finished product in RE's catalogue.. but people think a full metal bike = great quality. That's absolute false, its a marketing term, its been told too many times that we, the indian common motorcycle consumer have already accepted and believe it. Its high time Mr Rajiv Bajaj shows what quality truly defined as. And they are going that way. Thanks @motorinc i've been saying this since launch on F250 and N250.
@@saniurrahaman660agree on that issue of Quality and RE being opposite poles of magnet. Switchgear quality on a Meteor 350 looks and feels cheaper than a N series 160cc motorcycle from Bajaj. Paint quality ain't great either on RE. RE's marketing term of metal bike has really made the biker community toxic due to their pride of metal and hating on other motorcycles saying plastic bike
Iconic from Shumi and Kartikeya. 10/10 for that quick summary. Great discussion at the end on Bajaj vs RE. I felt as if Bajaj was doing a lot of senseless launch but this whole POV adds a new spectrum to the discussion. Interesting times ahead. Also, what's next from the motorcycling side of things?
Between the Royal Enfield strategy vs Bajaj the latter seems to be a more viable one in the long run. There is variety to meet every taste. The RE products 'Look' brillant, one is constantly being tempted by them. The latest for me was the Red&Gold Guerilla but lack of reliability is a shame that keeps me away.
Amazing review as always..to the point....I had question...So according to you what all changes have to be done to the dominar to make it a good touring motorcycle????
I like especially how each episode deals with in-depth details about each vehicle. Can you please make a shootout for each category of bikes such the 125 or 160 because opinion from an experienced expert matters a lot for the aspiring buyers in terms of the difference of how each product of a segment varies from each other and the perspective of who should be buying the product according to the usage and small weakness and strengths that lies with every brand including the after sales , spares cost and service network across India. I love each and every episode with kartik and shumi and this this channel matters not only to the enthusiasts but also the wanna be who doesn't have the budget but still have the dreams. Keep it up 💪.

If this trend continues there will soon be a brand that makes a name in offering good quality suspensions for RE bikes.
PULSAR 135LS MENTIONED LESGO!!!
Shumi should become a Pulsar historian at this point and write a book about it. Kartik should probably write the foreword with just the word 'YES'.
Bwahahaha
😂😂😂😂
14:54 Wasn't expecting Shumi to talk about cyberpunk 2077 but here we are 😂
I'm still trying to find what in cyberpunk 2077 inspired the colours for the bike
@@thexplorer360 Still riding my 135ls. Giving solid 60+ kmpl.
@dileepchandran9204 Yah.. 135LS is Great Bike.. 4V. I still miss my old 135LS.. From Kolkata to Uttrakhand Ride with luggage and extra fittings it gave me around 60-65kmpl. In whole trip I have completed without 0 trouble.
also for seats ...
in UP Bihar they have a tendency to have good cushion covers on seat . ( may Bajaj know this as well)
Thanks for letting us know!
Try out these three 125s, Akshay! No d-ABS on any of these though. For that you'll have to look at the 160s. The N160/Hero 160R might be fun.
I really love your content and want to see your channel grow.
motor inc on sunday morning with chai; good morning
Kadak! 😄
I still watch these two speak no matter what motorcycle/car they are discussing whether or not I'm interested in said cars/motorcycles. I love listening to them. much love
Thanks for joining us @IOBTSOHG
I was really astonished while i was waiting in cut on highway when suddenly a 220f pulled in beside and i thought wow such damn good sporty bike it shouldn't have been discontinued and the next thing i saw is the modern instrument cluster from n250 !!! I was like what 😱🤯 !!!! . Only two things popped out either this guy went to bajaj for new instrument cluster or they are selling new 220f's . Turns out the later is true .
One request for Shumi 😊 why dont you do motorinc first on new 220f
MotorInc First is for new bikes, @theoryofeverything4237. The 220F is a lot of things. New is not one of those things
I have been using a 135 LS since 2012 and till now never heard anyone praise it. Hearing Shumi praise it today gave me a sense of peace that 12 years back i had made an investment and not an expense.
Really? despite the puny looks, the LS was praised back in the day for it's fun, sporty character. I remember the reviews vividly.
LS 135 is my first bike
In 2010 March, I was 18 years old then, I convinced my father to buy this instead of discovery 125 ,
the best decision in my life,
I had beautiful memories with that bike ,over 90k kilometers, countless long rides ,night rides...
Thanks for reminding me of my first love🤩🤩
hey Same bro
2011 convinced and got a LS 135 Black. Awesome bike, good handling. Had a emotional connection with it.
👍👍
My favourite pulsar❤
32:53 it reminds me of a skinny guy wearing an oversized tshirt (disclaimer: no hatred for people who wear one).
No doubt the bike looks great❤ and a bit bulky because of it.
😁 Very visual @RoadQuestRider!
This is a great project bike to be sure.😅
looking from the side, it slanted towards the back a bit, the engine placement is a bit diagonal which clears up the initial ground clearance and then once you remove the metal knee guardrails, the pyjamas and some other bits and bobs that you don't need and suddenly you have a N125 that looks like a TRAILS bike if not a ADV.
honestly, the first time i saw this bike on Bajaj's website from the side, it looked like a trails bike at the core.
Time for Bajaj to bring back the AS Pulsars then @adrishmajumder9878?😅
I instantly thought souped DOWN vstrom250 when I saw it
@@motorinc oh yeah.
The headlight from the side reminds me of the Honda CB 750 Hornet. The sideburn kind of look.
🤜🏽🤛🏽
The fork sleeve reminds of the sleeves on the rods of office chairs with castor wheels. Of course, there it does the important job of providing psychology comfort that is needed for someone to feel confident that the chair would bear their weight (hard to believe, when most people confuse diameter with material strength). Clearly, here it doesn't have to do that, so it's more pretense, as Kartikeya put it.
@@parsibava True that
I am Kartikeya in this whole conversation of what is P and what is N or NS .. too many products for my small brain to handle. 😂
Haha! Great minds!
KS's bewilderment in 36:00 - 37:00 is just gold. I just love your synergy folks.
Meanwhile Watching This from Tawang Arunachal Pradesh. My R1250 is safely parked in the Hotel. Hope nobody Touches it
I am just learning to ride a bike and I bought N125 on 29 oct , so just for the sake of learning I bought it and I have been riding 2 hours daily and I can say this was a good choice, I am 5.8 ft so seat height was not an issue for the siting part I find it very comfortable I think that narrow seats gives a feeling of control which I need since I am learning. For a new rider and for commuting in city or Gali roads it is a good option. But family members find the back seat a bit too high. The target audience for this bike must be people like me who want to learn a bike but don't want to spend too much and is stylish to look at giving a premium feeling.
Xtreme 125 are really beautiful
Thanks for sharing your perspective!
22:12 since i do have a pulsar 135, id say it does certainly resemble it, its not 1:1 copy but yes a clear resemblance is there imo
Thanks @fx_1513, helps!
the amalgamation of both strategies will be killer
It’s going to be a trip!
Its such a pleasure listening watching both of you specially shumi sir is like magnet you just stick to screen earphones and enjoy
Sir ji tussi great ho 😊❤
To reclaim the Fastest Motorcycle in 125CC segment title, TVS has launched the TVS Raider iGo with more torque.
🤜🏽🤛🏽
came back to comment - I SAW A LEGIT NEW 220F and yes the guy just went to the showroom and asked for it, apprantly they just had one sitting in their stock (it was manufactured in feb 2022 or 23 i dont remeber the details) and it blew my mind that someone would genuinely go ahead and buy that. The guys reasoning as to why he bought it is 1. he needed a fast bike in his budget that his mom could sit on. thats it thats all the reason.
A Humble Request to you for reviewing the SP 125 now that most of the other 125s have been reviewed by you...
Honestly i also wanna see his views on Honda SP 125 , though i know its not new rather than a whole video they can talk about it in some segments where they will bitch about and appreciate about SP125
Honda hasn't issues any test bikes to us after 2 years of chasing... we wouldn't hold our breath, @Anonymous6969_
Always a pleasure listening to both the gentleman. Amazing at what they do, absolute best. Watching all the videos even if i am not planning to buy the motorcycle.
Much appreciated @ankitmaharshi9966!
There’s a small hill called Parsik hill in Belapur, a bit crowded at times but a great place to ride bikes. Y’all should check it out some time

When are you guys covering the new xpluse 210??
After it has launched - which means it's on sale and has a price, Prateek
@motorinc and when is that expected to happen?
We don't track future releases very closely, TBH.
@@motorinc anyways, will look forward to your video about it.
Love you guys
You guys are fun to watch.... The humour quotient is 100%...
you guys gotta make a short video about the new XMR 250 sharing your views and expectations :)
Before it has a price, we've tested it and it's on sale? 😊
@motorinc yeah makes sense 😂
32:29 Punk Rock! 😎🔥👊
love the video guys, great work
the in-frame camera pan shots are SMOOOTH!!! nailed those
Coming to the usefulness of fork sleeves would you opine they are the same as when we had them on albeit older varinars like boxers or in current generation like CT110X or pricier offerings like Interceptor? Do they matter if we don't have USD? I always thought that even having a minimal fork sleeve that spongy ribbed one on an old motorcycle like cd100 also tend to reduce dirt and leakage etc and it has been in use for quite some time. So if that wasn't a challenge back then how is this sleeve gonna pose a challenge now?
I got a 16year old Pulsar 150 which has aged like fine wine handles great, and has the step in power/torque like what shumi experienced in N125, that is Pulsar DNA, good that Bajaj added this feature/power curve in a Fi bike🫡
You guys are hilarious af and I love tuning in onto your first impressions whenever its released. Cheers
Absolutely agree on 135 LS, I still own one from 2011, it feels great when you push it beyond 7000RPM, almost like a sports bike cornering and all...
Thanks for sharing @MohdSameer-jw3ti
It is true, location matters, in darjeeling, west Bengal it's only NS & N newer gen bikes are popular but still it does act as an all rounder, because in hills, according to me, good torque at lower rpm is required , keeping in mind that rider + pillion = 120~150 kgs, for me hunter 350 is working as a charm, big rear tyres, 2&3 gear at hills 😍 no worry of shifting gears constantly, abs, vibration is there but, by far the best, even better than xpulse 200,
what do you guys at motorinc think about the ns400z? have seen the motorinc first but I'm still confused
19:51 Kartikeya is so out of game😂, whereas shout out for shumi to keep track of tata products lol, so nice to see the conversation ❤❤❤
Oooh it is interesting to learn the two strategies Bajaj and RE are implementing.
👍🏽
Pulsar 220 f bs4 and 220f bs6 2025 are their suspention any different?
Not that we're aware of, TBH. Bajaj has been very careful to not alter that bike beyond the minimums needed for emissions compliance, Sam
@@motorinc thanku for the info
Find the idea of "regional" markets very interesting... Wonder if the other giants, Hero and TVS have gamed this as well...
We have to think that they have @yadhunayt! Although perhaps no other brand has as many variety of motorcycles as Bajaj does, at least right now.
What do you think about new the Xtreme 250 ?
No thoughts until it's launched (which means its on sale) and we've tested it, Vinod
Hi, i have a tvs raider, yes it is not that smooth but fun ,does buying a higher voltage battery with the same size make it a tvs raider igo?i heard igo is smoother as it gets better power supply from battery. Whats your take on it?
no
Raider is never smooth also not reliable
@@shwetankshukla why not , everything is same except battery
@@AmalDevYT no issues for me since 2.5 yrs
No. adding a battery won't help in any way, @pa1kumarbhukya
Hey @motorinc, is there a tentative schedule for the first impressions video for the bear 650 in your coming plans?
Still waiting for a test bike @gesskay6626!
Absolutely spot on about the pajamas Shumimasan! 😂 amazing video as always! Requesting your views on the EICMA 24, very much interested to know Karthik's view on the GR 86 rally.
Hey Shumi should I buy a GT 650 now or should I wait for the 2025 model
Wait for it, the current one is pretty old. I think the new one will have considerable changes, slimmer exhaust is big change and maybe they'll clear the wobble issue too.
No way to say for sure, Darsh. RE isn't know for updating its older models either significantly or often 🤷🏽♂️
14:17 My thought exactly! It does look like Xblade's headlight & also hornet's headlight in someways..
Thanks for letting us know Abhirama!
If you want to buy "a" 125 , you can buy "an" 125.. underrated!
Bajaj approach might lead to more sales but with royal enfield same platform approach they can focus their resources on perfecting that platform which means higher quality and potentially lower costs over time plus it will give the bike a more recognizable classic look and feel.
Logic makes sense, @saw-raj, but do the current fleet of Royal Enfields suggest that quality levels are rising?
@RCLepcha but the irony is that their metal sheets are thinner and weaker than the metal tanks under the plastic shrouds of other companies.
@@saniurrahaman660 facts. Most RE fans won't be able to digest it
Iconic from Shumi and Kartikeya. 10/10 for that quick summary. Great discussion at the end on Bajaj vs RE. I felt as if Bajaj was doing a lot of senseless launch but this whole POV adds a new spectrum to the discussion. Interesting times ahead. Also, what's next from the motorcycling side of things?
Thanks for the rating @prnv7! Stay tuned 😊
23:55 what a superb valuable point. This is the advice that fathers give❤
Absolutely. Be real.
Is Dominar 400 or Pulsar NS 400 engines smooth on this level?
Plz do let me know.
Glad we're able to help you @sandeepanmazumdar6473! Thanks for the suggestion. 😊
Yes, from close shots the headlight shape looks exactly like xblade, and from long shots the front reminds me of hero xtreme
