I drive a 2000 CL600 without the AMG turbo’s. Everybody is trying to bring down the car because it hasn’t got Racing DNA which is very true. It’s not a race car, it’s a luxury coupé, one of the most elegant cars ever built to set the driver at ease whilst driving on the autobahn mile after mile, from dusk till dawn. It’s not my daily driver but never disappoints me when I take it out for the weekends driving across Europe.
@@Fall-off-currencies It’s a coupe, it weighs less and drives even better! Although it’s named CL-class it is an S-Class with only two doors. I prefer the V12 motor anytime above the V8. It’s such a smooth ride you’ll never forget!
10 years later I still adore that CL 55 AMG.....Took me some time to find this video and I can say it's one of my very favorites.....Since I saw this video for first time I've always dream to buy a Mercedes with that grey interior and that plate exterior.... I guess for that combinations defines a proper Mercedes, it's like red exterior with beige interior on every Ferrari...
you probably dont give a shit but if you are stoned like me during the covid times then you can watch all of the new series on InstaFlixxer. Have been binge watching with my girlfriend lately =)
I can't find any older than 2005 or many with 100,000 miles. So lowest I got is about $35,000. Which was a 2005 with 80,000 miles. I've seen a few at $25,000 but they were 2003 there aren't many of those left. The 2003's were the ones I was talking about. There is one on e-bay for 23,000 but that hasn't met the minimum price yet. You can get a variety of high mileage V12 benz's for 25k. You just have to look for a while, auctions are good places to start too.
i've sitted in one and it's a whole other world. The Merc is so big, and the accelerate is so brutal. I screamed so loud as my friend touched the pedal. And I own a Audi TT which isn't slow. But this V12 is just a monster from hell. The devil!
Awesome car! Why is he trying to make it a race car it's a sport tourer not a race car :s lol I'll take that anyday :) only 1 for sale in aust and its still $80,000 :( I guess I'll keep waiting
@ErosaScuderia yup i agree. i like Niddel as a car reviewer. he gives the car a fair and thorough review which is very entertaining for petrol heads like me...
I respect Tiffany Dell. I think his reviews are nothing short of brilliant. If I wanted to get to know about a car, he's the first person I'd watch reviewing it. But for enertainment value and opinions that I can relate to? Clarkson, surely.
oh yea have you ever heard of the SLR MClaren? its one of "THE Supercars" and its a automatic. its the 2nd fastest automatic tranns in the world. its the acceleration that the transmission plays a important role in.
there are so many changes they make to that circuit every year, it must take quite a bit of work. Does anyone know if the roads they convert to the race track are they main roads or relatively "quiet" for monaco?
me tu fost la monaco unde decoru potrivit cu mercedez?foarte bun treaba facut cei din monaco ...de potrivire . :)))) adica tu invata gramatica fragrancemes
I am confused about a few things after seeing this. This appears to be a W215, which I always thought had 603 horsepower, rather than the 612 he said. Also, I thought the CL65 always came with amg style wheels- the wheels shown here look like what I've seen on a CL600. And lastly, if this is a W215 CL65, I thought it would have an open differential- but as seen with his "burnout", both wheels are laying rubber. Anyone?
You're right. The CL 65 develops 604 hp = 612 PS (German mesure). Those wheels were for the pre-series CL 65. The ones of production cars are of course more beautiful. There is no limited slip differential on the CL 65. So, at low speed if you push it at 100% the wheels would spin, but then from 50-60 km/h the car goes well and that's a ROCKET !!!
used ones go for around $25,000 if they were daily driven which means around 80,000-100,000 miles. But by then you will be spending just as much to fix it back up as you did buying it. Matience is rediculous!!!
does anybody know the name of the song that is being played in the back ground?... on the other hand, I think the CL65 AMG is best as it it, a grand tourer that can cover ground with great comfort while going silly fast and it looks great, the same can't be said for the W216 though, the newer car just doesn't seem to make me want it in the way this W215 does, I am not saying the W216 is ugly, no, frankly it looks brilliant, much better than the Continental GT, but I prefer the W215 much better.
@MasterxMorgan i am a petrol head and i need not prove that over the net. but i don't find him entertaining. i find him informative and more of like a teacher in a classroom who tries his best at keeping the students from getting bored. Top gear on the other hand is very entertaining but needless to say that some of their judgments are rubbish and biased but none the less entertaining. But of course it also depends on ones personal opinion and taste.
Clarkson is a Professional entertainer/car reviewer who likes Driving Nidell is a professional Driver who likes car reviewing and definitely tries very hard at entertaining. As a result Clarkson is more fun to watch... but gives subjective reviews...("if he doesn't like the car it's shit" kind of review) on the other hand Niddel is more factual and more objective in his approach and more informative... Cheers!!!
yeah i know,it sucks...a damn camry does 6.0sec...a ferrari 360 does like 5.5 The only thing that will difirentiate cars and supercars will be the price tags
@truknayr23 You read my mind. Tiff isn't on a track as much as Clarkson so he really can't entertain to the same extent. I like his viewpoint just a tad more. They both give fair opinions, but Clarkson puts alittle too much "grumpy old man" in his viewpoints. Tiff is a bit more positive even in his criticism and gives a bit more detail because he tends to do more real world driving in his reviews. It's kinda easy to get jaded when you have a track and a professional driver at your disposal.
@truknayr23 I do mostly agree with you but I think one more downfall of Tiff's is that he talks about it like we are all racing drivers. I think he completely missed the point of this car. The sublime luxury is more the point and it just happens to have obscene power just for fun. In actual fact, Jeremy's opinions are probably more realistic for normal people, aside from his views of porsche... he loves to hate porsche
Then go get an Enzo if you just want to have a car to be noticed. People buy these cars because they're fucking nice and don't draw a lot of attention.
don't really think my comment is being a "prick". Once you have to start servicing the V12 benzes you have to start shelling out a lot of dough. You can find plenty of AMG's with high mileage. But they are mostly going to be at auction or from a used car dealer. No certified dealership would take one because it would cost a lot to get it back to pre-certified status. I don't get why you think that's so outrageous, or why you think I have the 500 and 65 confused.
maybe in entertainment, but i get tired of clarkson's incredible exagerations, you can't really trust his opinion tiff is more informative and a better driver
I just cant really see the point to this car. The torque is simply too much for a car such as this, they had to rein it in anyways as Tiff said and of course it has trouble off the line. Your better off with a non-turbo V12or V8. That said I would like to see this engine in a car where you can actually use it.
I dont care. I was just saying the one in the video was not that great looking thats my opinion. If I want to get noticed a car doesnt cut it for me, I just go flying.
It looks annoymous though. Just sitted in one is nice, shit it better be for 130k. Come on for that much money it needs to stand out more. If I drove to a Mercedes Benz show with that car, it would not stand out. Unless someone looks at the badging and interior hints.

jupsss exactly !!!
I absolutely adore this car !
The two are very different shows and both enjoyable for their own reasons
my dad just got one and i love it it is the coolest car he has

great car
@vendediesel i saw that one as well... epic.. Cheers!

so?
It wasn't a negative comment. I was just noting something. :)
it is more now ahaha
the brand new CLs look great.

@vmaxx55 there are many remix on youtube about this song.. Can you tell me exactly the remix about this video of cl 55???

Which car grabs the most attention the new Mercedes Benz CL65 or BMW M6???
@vmaxx55 I've seen all versions and mix on youtube but I don't find it !! :((
I hope to find it on emule.....

yea
@vmaxx55 YOU 'RE THE BEST BROTHA!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
I've seen a few here in korea.. people buy these things like water..
@truknayr23 and BTW, I think that Clarkson's review of the CLK63 Black is one of if not his best review IMO.
there are so many changes they make to that circuit every year, it must take quite a bit of work.

They are main roads, so parts of the city are closed for residents during races...
