Another I just remembered, either Dar-Benn is stronger than Thanos or they de-powered Carol. Carol got tossed around a couple of times in the movie, while Thanos couldn't damage her until he used the stones.
The slippery slope that I've been warning about for years with the MCU using "comedy" to cover over a thin plot and weak character development seem to have culminated in this movie.
The switch in the sky was followed up on Monica and kamala ended up with Darban that's why Carol was so desperate to get back to save kamala
But ended up switching when she flew off after first switching with kamala to the house
Then Monica held on to kamala in the sky and switched again before they hit the ground
They literally said they had to use them at the same time to switch that's why they didn't switch sometimes
It seems this is supposed to happen before Secret invasion. The Krulls were still being sent to earth.
What I did notice is this being attached to Shang Chi with the bracelets as it seems to be an artifact linked to the ten rings. I kinda wish they added Wong for a better explanation.
At this point Marvel don’t care or watch their own work for continuity
They’re supposed to swap places when they activate their powers at the same time
Yea, he’s missing the context, which is odd because they said it a few times at least in the movie

Which is crazy, considering they had a whole montage of them practicing switching lol

@@Bannedconfidential the people that missed that part, and as you pointed out, there was a whole montage driving home the concept of the place exchange simply want to desperately hold to the narrative that Marvel is doomed and that the movie is trash.
In my opinion, this movie wasn’t great but The Flash, Black Adam, and Shazam 2 were far worse.
I think Carol only went to the Khan house by swapping places with someone else.
The singing and dancing to communicate planet idea was inspired by Buffy the musical. Buffy did it better.
They only swap places when they use their powers at the same time. The dance planet was from one of Captain Marvel comics in the 80s. Love your content
Honestly I really did enjoy the movie and I was a fan of the switching action sequences too. Feel like it was just a casual fun movie to watch without thinking to deep about it and all and I’d say it was better than I expected it to be ( and my expectations were incredibly low)

Ending made no sense. Couldn't Monica close the portal from their end? Feels like excuse to bring in X-Men
Dragon Ball Gt did something similar to the singing planet. Maybe that’s why you think you seen it before

Yeah man I wanted to like this movie because I'm not a Brie Larson hater and I actually like the first Captain marvel movie but man this movie was a mess. Terrible script garbage directing it didn't make any sense

We NEED to talk about how it was teased throughout the film to give Monica Rambeau her superhero name by Kamala, but it never amounted to anything. I half expected her to be called Photon, Pulsar or Spectrum, especially at the ending where she goes super saiyan.
I was wondering if in ending credits rouge steal Ms. Marvel powers would be great end her power
I finally watch it yesterday despite all the negative review, and there is no way you saying this is the worst MCU movie.
This movie is definitely way better than Thor Love Thunder and Ant-Man Quantumania.

Carol was so much better as Ms. Marvel, Khan isn't worth the character name
Here is an exercise that can help in telling if a superhero franchise is going to be fighting an uphill battle.
Casual fans can do this but if you’re a little more versed in comics you should be able to as well
Take the character and name off three villains. The easier it is to name a villain associated with them the easier and less generic the movie should be. The harder it is to name their villains the more likely you’re going to get generic and bland. The more they churn these out and kill off those generic and bland villains the less they have to work with.
The Captain Marvel, Khamela Khan Ms. Marvel era of books is an era where political messaging in story (not saying woke) and constant cross over events of heroes fighting heroes is what they got. Jane Foster’s Thor run basically had her going up against an oil tycoon.
A straight up Captain Marvel 2 film would need to pull from cosmic characters to give her a threat. They would need Gladiator from the Shi’ar or a herald of Galactus. Going either route makes her movie a no stakes set up movie for X-men (Phoenix saga) or Fantastic Four and Galactus.
Years of bad writing by focusing on constant crossover events is going to come home to roost as the movies try to pull from this stories or make their own original things up.
The original version of the movie was a musical
my understanding of why scrolls were there is that main villain was trying to save Hala and at same time get revenge on Carol by destroying worlds that she likes. there are probably tons of worlds that she could use to get water/sun/air for hala.
Well, good thing this is the only movie written during the pandemic, so more good stuff less trash

I keep forgetting that Eternals even came out. They are next to the Inhumans in the "who the fuck cares" category of Marvel. Thankfully they got the X-Men and can just use mutants instead of terrigan mist infected humans

Samuel Jackson must be getting sweet paychecks to continue to appear in these projects, otherwise there’s no reason to have him attached despite Nick Fury being essential to the MCU, the character was sidelined in his own series.
I watched it & it was eh. Never gunna see it again. Kamala continues to be a bright spot. Post credit scene actually made me gasp out loud. Def not 838 universe btw since that theory is running around online.

My ears were bleeding in cringe with those musical parts. I think I've been lying to myself for far too long about the MCU's decreasing post-Endgame reputation. Part of me is glad Cap 4 and Thunderbolts are now releasing in 2025.
Just finished watching it and thought it was a good time. At the VERY least, it’s better than Quantumania and Love & Thunder. The switching action was really unique and probably my favorite part of the movie. Villain was definitely weak though.

Geekdom - Antman Quantamania was terrible. Kang forgot he had special tech that can freeze people, throw them around etc and decided to have a fist fight. Weakest ending to a marvel movie ever 😂 in fact I’d go as far as saying It was insulting, it was an attack on the viewers intelligence!
I like this movie. Kamala Khan gave a similar performance to Tom holland Spider-Man. X-men introduced and young avengers set up its a win for me

Ever since Marvel decided to take out Nic Fury’s eye with a cat, they’ve been continuously assassinating his character.
This review is a bit uneven…Valkyrie more than likely moved the Skrulls to New Asgard as a temporary solution. The cats storing the people was convenient because everybody was already there and they had JUST hatched. Calling Valkyrie again wouldn’t have made sense since the ship was getting destroyed unlike the last time. Also, I don’t see how you took the scene with Maria dying to state that you don’t care about Carol lol

I knew this movie was going to flop, and whoever was the writer on this movie she is trash the villain was trash, didn’t do a good job. They should’ve never change the villain to a woman in the first place maybe if they added the three marvel men that are in the group in the comics maybe the movie would’ve came out better, but they don’t follow comics at all anymore

This is just my opinion when they do a young avengers movie or show they are going to need a live action Miles Morales because Ms marvel Kate bishop and Cassie Lang we’re all apart of projects that was not that well received by most and I don’t want that movie to potentially not get over due to their past projects so adding miles would instantly get eyes on that movie or show without the potential hate

@@KarnageClown yeah I know. I just doesn’t make sense. Other than. Getting clicks. Most folks will go see it this weekend. Or more than likely over thanksgiving break. Which is what me and my wife are doing. Logically it makes more sense to give people time to see it then review it on Monday. You proactively have to hide posts or stay off social media if you don’t want to be spoiled.
