Post Endgame should have been The Skrulls, they were set up in multiple movies, they had an established back story, they were already part of the cosmic universe, they were a legitimate threat and would have built up perfectly to Secret Invasion and an Avengers film, how they completely stuffed this all up is beyond me.

The Marvels was a good film. It knew what story it wanted to tell, it understood its soul, and every component felt balanced, if not as fleshed out as it could've been. But most of its depth came from the sincerity of the storytelling, the sense that every plot point, characterisation and scene knew where it was coming from and where it was going. This was a very well directed film, the interactions between the core cast believable and compelling. It had heart. A whole heart.

This movie to me and its true purpose was making Carol more likeable and relatable and less of a loner
And setting her up to actually be a leader on a team
It's a small character fun film
It isn't meant to be Endgame or Infinity War
After films like Oppebheimer and Killers of the flower moon this was a breath of fresh air and was one of the few marvel films in recent times I actually felt emotion from watching
Yes they could have lingered on certain emotional scenes longer and maybe added a detailed backstory for Dar Ben

"We aren't in phase 6 yet and everything happening now is leading up to that" It's basically that, so everything feels pure build-up and it's exhausting. It doesn't help that some characters feel that outright disappeared (Like Luis in the Ant-Man films) or are too inconsistent (Like Fury after Secret Invasion)... They're trying to connect more parts at the same time, and yet all feel loose and less coherent.

This movie was not bad at all! I enjoyed it so much, with some caveat. The quirks they put in were charming. The foght scenes were quite well-realized in staging and execution. The stories seems to have been cut short, which you can feel, but overall, it's on par with some of the other sequels, like Ant Man 2 and Iron Man 2.

It’s actually a good movie. I enjoyed it. I think people are nitpicking at this point when it comes to Marvel. Yes a few silly moments but the silliness works.

It's really unfortunate that this movie was tailored to the 2% of the audience were Grace falls in. The movie would have been a financial success otherwise.

I really liked it. I was half expecting Icarus to fly out of the sun when they were up there lol. I know it’s a lot to ask, and probably expensive cause actors, but I wish we got some avengers cameos. Like there’s a bunch of ships and portals going on up there and ships crashing down on New York and there’s no one there to figure out what’s going on? I really like the movie tho

So Carol just literally did agenocidee like Omniman in s01e02 on Invincible and it's the big revile of the movie, but it wasn't anywhere in the ad campaign? If it's the big revile and the big bad's motivation it should be a big question in the movie, like "What Carol did do?", "why she is afraid of her self" and it should be in marketing because it sounds great and interesting

The trailers definitely didn't do this movie justice. Just saw it and wow, really really enjoyed it. Laughed a lot, and the action scenes were so good. Loved Monica and ms marvel. Thought the trio had great chemistry. The scene with them learning how to use their powers while switching was so good. Definitely looking forward to watching again!

I would have liked to see Carol Danvers with her classic black and red Ms. Marvel costume. She was my favorite character from Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2.

I'm the tea person. Im not buying at ticket for this. Its based around one movie and TV shows, its a TV movie at best. Something you'd pick off the Blockbuster Shelf.

I watched the movie with my fiancé (who is not a big marvel fan but will watch some movies for me) and he loved it. He said he enjoyed that it seemed different from other superhero movies and the kitten scenes (complete with “Memory” from the Cats musical) made him laugh out loud. He loved it which I am very glad about. I enjoyed it myself.

I had a smile on my face for most of the movie! Funny and I think maybe the best action in the MCU since…winter soldier?!?! I do think the villain would’ve been better if she had started on Carol’s side in some way and then flipped, and also had a cool name. Is it the most artistic film of all time or a huge event film? No, but it’s not trying to be, unlike most comic book movies of the last few years.

My group went with very low expectations but were very entertained. The Post Credit Scene had us gasp & mouthes open. A major thing I was worried they would drop the ball on is Monica's lowkey resentment & reunion with her Aunty after feeling abandoned when she wasn't there for the Rameaus as Maria was dying from Cancer

From what I understood, Carol's actions were not destroying the Kree's sun, but - by eliminating the Supreme Intelligence - triggering a civil war that depleted the planet's resources. I wish this could have been explored more, as it really speaks to heroes' actions having down-the-line consequences that are almost never shown in comic book movies (unless it's a revenge-focused flick). Once the main villain dies, what happens to their people? Here we see the unintended consequences, and that every action has a reaction
