- The Black Dragon Wash trail starts at I-70 just west of the exit for Utah 24. The trail enters the Black Dragon Canyon and exits into a network of trails that eventually connect to the Buckhorn Draw Road. The Freemont Indians (500 - 1300 A.D.) left some mysterious rock art on the cavern walls that many say shows a pterodactyl or a dragon. See the pictographs and judge for yourself.

Stunning scenery!
So In a normal sedan would it be possible to go slow and make it to the parking for pictograph?
I wouldn't.....don't think highway tires could handle the rocks.

Do you need to get a permit from BLM to use the trail with a vehicle?
No, if your vehicle is licensed and registered for street use it's good to go on these trails.
