That’s 12 years of hardcore drug use and Brian was still quite lucid. It wasn’t until after the dark days under Landy in late 70s and 80s that Brian became a changed man.
Diet/no smoking/drugs/booze/cocaine/marijuana/ running/eating small portions..what' so unusual about what he accomplished? He never looked better or sounding so coherent. Landy saved his life.....Brian now has ballooned his weight up and sounds very paranoid

The Brian Wilson was in fucking bed for three years in a row he wasn’t doing anything before Landy met him so yeah Landy was probably a shyster but he also got him out of bed for whatever that’s worth and I think we all agree that the exercise regimen and getting him off of drugs and getting him motivated again was worth a pretty hefty price. Certainly not what Landy charged, but it was worth something
Landy saved his life but did lasting damage to Brian by over-prescribing and over-dosing a myriad of drugs to Brian for several years. All evidence points to Landy basically trying to kill Brian to inherit his wealth after Brian won a huge settlement over lost royalties in the early 90s. I'm glad Brian's still with us and I hope he's happy, but come on. Landy is probably the single biggest villain in the Beach Boys' saga. This goes way, way beyond someone being greedy. Don't sing Landy's praises.
Brian looks so handsome in this interview. He is trim and not fat. But, his attitude is a bit crazy. His twisted face muscles seems like he had a stroke. Landy is dead now. Brian’s wife has helped him, however, he is fat again.
Brian Wilson made amazing music but the difference was he just like a guy going to Home Depot to buy some DIY equipment and not some prima Donna with a massive ego.
