    Napaka busy ko nung holidays nang dahil sa chiffon cake with cream cheese frosting ninyo na recipe. Maraming salamat po dahil lahat nasarapan hehe...try ko tong red velvet chiffon at cupcakes para this valentines naman. Naway pagyamanin pa po ni LORD ang inyong talento sa pag bake ma'am.😊

      may oven thermometer po sa loob. 😊 may knob lang po un oven ko. de gas kasi sya. pag nataas temp inoopen ko un door para bumaba temp.😊

      half recipe is good for one 8"x3" pan. use half recipe but leave some cake batter. 😊

      naka gas kasi ako ms.theresa. sa baba lang apuyan pero mas mainit sa upper rack. mini version ng pang bakery po gamit ko kasi. uhmmm. use mo na lang un usual na gamit mo sa cakes mo po.

      mc cormick gamit ko po. wala syang after taste (sa pansala ko). un nag brown side. possible na overbaked na or too high ung temperature.

      1 tbsp cocoa
      1/4 teaspoon baking soda
      1/4 teaspoon baking powder
      6 tbsp sugar
      1/8 teaspoon salt
      4 large egg yolk
      1/4 c oil (canola / corn / vegetable)
      1/4 c fresh milk
      3/4 teaspoon vinegar
      1/2 teaspoon vanilla
      1 tablespoon red food color ( mc cormick)
      Meringue:
      4 large egg whites
      1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
      6 tbsp sugar

      use half evap and half water for fresh milk substitute po. un sa food color, i prefer mc cormick kasi may after taste minsan un ibang food color kahit un mga gel po. if di naman sensitive taste mo sa mga ganon po, ayos lang naman.😊

      hi ms.mei, un cream cheese frosting ko kasi is un classic lang. un whipped cream cheese frosting ko naman is ideally for chilled cakes din po. im on my quest pa sa stable na cream cheese frosting po kasi. 🙈😅

      pag half recipe better sana if sa 8" pan. may onti lang din na sobra unless isasakto mo sa pan if 7" un gagamitin po.😊

      di ko pa na try ms.sherlyn eh. may after taste kasi pag napadami ang gel food color po. lagi ako naka mc cormick tlaga. pero pede naman un if no choice ka. not sure lang sa qty po.

    Very informative.. Ganun pala yun.. Do not open the oven until it is done talaga.. I usually open mine 30 mins. Before it is done because I got a shitty oven.. lol And I'm bad at setting timer while baking.. mhhhmmm.. I think I need to start getting use to having a timer na.. 😅😂 I just baked Custard cake and yung chiffon niya lumubog.. lol Thanks for this tip..

      hi ms.donna, try ka muna ng plain chiffon kasi medyo tricky din gawin si custard cake. pede naman sya i open kahit after 20 mins pero wag syang gagalawin. like if may isasalang na iba lang. or press lang un top nya para i check if firm na o nag spring back na. hirap din kasi tantsahin minsan if done na sya tlaga. basta wag sya tutusukin if too soft pa kasi babagsak/bababa. makakasundo mo din si oven mo. trial and error lang tlaga po. 😊❤❤❤

    pero half recipe po ginawa ko talaga less 1 egg. pero success pa din po. though dapat po siguro sa 6" pan ko sya nilagay para puno, nasa lampas 1/2 lang po kasi kapag sa 7" pan eh. hehehe.

      ** 1 1/3 c cake flour =
      (1 1/3 c all purpose flour - 2 tbsp - 2tsp) + (2tbsp + 2tsp cornstarch)
      sift 3 to 5 times.
      1/2 c fresh milk =
      1/4 c water + 1/4 c evaporated milk

      may mga bubbles? possible na sa pag beat ng egg whites po. or sa pag pour sa pan. bagsak mo sya bago i bake para mawala un ibang bubbles. or run mo ng knife un batter bago i bake (nasa pan na).

      hi ms.emie. i suggest na day before na lang. para kahit naka room temp is ok lang. ganon po lagi ginagawa ko. iniiwan ko lang sa pan tpos binabalot ko ng either cling wrap or ng big plastic labo.
      un crumb coat, depende po sa gagamitin mo. pero dapat bigger un container kasi di ok na mahanginan un cake kasi nakaka dry po sya.

    Hello jhoana, thanks for sharing the video, ill try to do it this Valentine's, puede po bang mag ask kasi most po nakikita ko sa video sa youtube yung they pour chocolate drip all over the cake on a rack but they never show how will you take it out from rack yung cake. Kasi i wanted to do it but im afraid na baka paglift up ko ng cake eh. masira..im not sure po kung my cakeboard sa ilalim ng cake na exactly lang sa size ng cake .kung maari eh gawa po kyo ng video na ganoon. Thanks po in advance.....:)

      hi ms.theresa.❤️ pede ka use ng 2 spatula. meron din un mas malapad. un sa nagluluto ng mga burger patty. i m move un cake sa rack para matanggal un excess drip saka i l lift ung cake po. pag baka di kasi ako umabot sa valentines po.🙈❤️

      mix with liquid ingredients na lang po muna. add na lang po ikaw hanggat ma achieve un color na gusto mo po. im not sure lang if may after taste na if gel food color un gagamitin po. pinaka ok si mc cormick po for me.

    For half recipe how to measure the cake flour? plz tell me. I tried this recipe but it came out shrink at the end.
    Is 1/4 tea spoon means 1/2 of 1/2 Tea spoon?
    I used liquid colour but after adding the coco powder it became darkar🤔🤔🤔. I used Malaysian callebaut coco powder. But ur one's colour was just awesome.. Can u plz tell me the pan size in inches plz? It will be very helpful if u tell me the measurements in grams or mention the 1cup= how much ml?

      hi..here's the half recipe
      half recipe:
      1/2 c + 2 tbsp + 2 tsp cake flour
      1 tbsp cocoa
      1/4 teaspoon baking soda
      1/4 teaspoon baking powder
      6 tbsp sugar
      1/8 teaspoon salt
      4 large egg yolk
      1/4 c oil (canola / corn / vegetable)
      1/4 c fresh milk
      3/4 teaspoon vinegar
      1/2 teaspoon vanilla
      1 tablespoon red food color ( mc cormick)
      Meringue:
      4 large egg whites
      1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
      6 tbsp sugar
      yes. 1/4 teaspoon is half of 1/2 teaspoon. does it rise and shrink at the end? if yes, did you open your oven before it is done? oven temperature should be maintain especially for the first 20 minutes. you can check it by pressing the top first before inserting skewer. you can feel it if it is still soft. if possible, do not move it while baking. and do not overbeat the meringue. and do not overmix the cake batter. then flip it immediately once it is done.
      im not familiar with your cocoa. is it the almost black one? if yes maybe try to use other cocoa?

      I tried ur half recipe, but there was a confusion- in (1/2 c +2tbsp+2tsp) what ll be the amonut of all purpose flour & cornstarch? plz make it clear. Is that 1/2 c regular flour & (2tbsp +2tsp) cornstarch?
      For half recipe what ll be the pan size (in inches)?
      I didn’t use cream of tartar (I haven’t this in my home), was it effects the cake?
      Another question - is this cake can be decorated with whipped cream, cream cheese frosting or buttercream frosting? If yes then should I apply sugar syrup before frosting the cake?

      for the half recipe. you can use 8"x3" pan.
      for the cake flour substitute,
      half recipe
      (1/2 + 1tbsp + 1 tsp all purpose flour ) + (1tbsp + 1tsp cornstarch)
      _______
      for every 1 c of cake flour = 1 c - 2 tbsp all purpose flour + 2 tbsp cornstarch)
      ______________
      in our recipe, we need 1 1/3 c
      half of 1/3 c is 2 tbsp plus 2 tsp
      so, 1/2 c + 2 tbsp + 2 tsp cake flour
      for all purpose + cornstarch,
      1/2 c + 2 tbsp + 2 tsp all purpose flour - 1 tbsp - 1 tsp
      or 1/2 c + 1 tbsp + 1 tsp all purpose flour.
      then replacing it with cornstarch. the amount you remove from the all purpose flour will be the same amount of cornstarch.

      hindi naman po. ung after sya ilabas sa oven, ibabagsak sa table para ma release un ibang steam nakakatulong para di sya mag collapse po. tpos un pag invert agad, ganon din.😊 pero ung iba nagtatanggal nga sa pan kahot mainit pa. di ko pa na try ung ganon po. nakaka dry kasi din ng cake pag naka expose sya sa hangin.

      @@jhoanienie kasi nagtry ako ng chiffon nung isang araw tulad nga ng turo sa TH-cam ibaliktad pagkalabas sa pan. Ang ending lumiit sya like 8 inch round sya naging 7inch round. Sa side sya nagdeflate. Sabi ng ibang kagroup dahil daw sa di pagremove ng pan while cooling.

      honestly ms.lee, nag s shrink din ung chiffon ko pero nice naman un shape nya. may iba nga po na nag r remove sa pan agad. di ko lang sya na try pa po. try mo na ibagsak kahit mababa lang kasi na r release kusa ung chiffon pag napalakas bagsak. then saka mo invert po. if di pa din ok, baka mas better nga ung i remove while mainit pa.😊

      yes. it is really more on food coloring with just a hint of chocolate. frostings like cream cheese frosting will make it special.

      Usualy what makes red velvet red velvet is the combination of a little cocoa and buttermilk turning it slightly redish due to a chemical reaction, nowerdays artifical coloring is added to achive a more true red, but a bit of cocoa and the acidaty of buttermilk still make up its special taste and texture . . .

      may iba pong naka try na mag cupcakes sa chiffon recipe ko and ok naman daw. pero pag ako nagawa medyo nag s shrink sila pag pa cupcakes po.😅
