E-bike Tour | Indiana to Boston | Day 8 (95 Miles)

- My long-distance e-Bike tour from Indiana to Boston, Massachusetts.
I head from Fort Plain to Bennington, Vermont for a hotel night. This was all filmed on my iPhone 12 as the GoPro died the previous day.

Ha, those peacocks are LEGENDARY. Fort Plain is an excellent stop, and the Empire State Trail is one of the best in the country! Looking forward to more New England riding in the next few episodes!

Brian:I rode the Natchez Trace Parkway a few years ago on my “acoustic” bike. It is a great ride on the paved, limited car access roads with a lot of history to take in as well. Some planning is required as stealth camping opportunities are limited but with some parks and campgrounds along the way as well as some larger cities such as Jackson MS, a reasonable itinerary is easily constructed.

WOW! The views @ 8:44, 13:10 and 15:40 were just fantastic, we appreciate you sharing with us. If the osmo action 3 is half as good as the original osmo action, you will love it! DJI also offer skeleton cages for their cams, making it easy to hook up accessories. I love the jack-hammer bit at the end, hahaha. Stay safe!
Bennington is a nice town. Some beautiful country down there. Try Northern Vermont next maybe in the fall. Nice ride. Take care, Al
I live in Oregon and from my experience hills (mountains actually) eat ebike battery charge like candy. So word to the wise, keep your powder dry and your bike battery charged.
True - Portland here - and you want to make sure your battery doesn’t drop much below 50% charge if you’re looking at bad hills.
Chief matter is finding places to charge. There are *some* parks which have live electrical outlets once you get out of Portland proper. A tester helps to find them, and extension cords are a must.
Towards the end when you are filming yourself in the hotel room you have a scary insect crawling on your shirt 😧

Not sure if you have picked up an Osmo Action yet. I have been using the original Osmo Action for 3 years and love it. Pretty rock solid and good picture quality plus stabilization.
Yes I have and I love it. I got the DJI Action 4 and in every aspect it is so much better than the go pro! Thank you!
My GoPro doesn't have any of those problems you mentioned except for the overheating issue.
Hope the new camera works out when you get it. I hate my GoPro as well.
Really nice day of riding - thanks for sharing, Brian. And, yes, I too own a GoPro Hero 7 Black and experience the same problems as you do. *argh!* GoPro has lost my business. I also own a DJI Osmo Action 1 and have NEVER had a problem with it - it has worked flawlessly and every review I've read/seen about the Osmo Action 3 echoes your assessment. It's so much better than the original Osmo Action (which is still a great little action cam) and maintains that same level of reliability/dependability but with enhanced performance, and that front monitor/touch screen is great. And, it's selling for $279 right now, which is insane! Maybe that's just for Black Friday so I hope you jump on buying one ASAP!
