I biked this train for about 15 miles in October - beautiful. The tunnels are delightfully creepy. After biking in the daytime I liked this trail so much I rode it a second time at night! Tunnels are creepy in the day but sheer delight at night. By all means, bike this one!
Oh my gosh, you can go through it at night?! That is really awesome! I think I would have been freaked out not being familiar with the area, but man, if you are from that area, what an opportunity!
@@travlinfam I'm not from the area - it was my first time. I fell in love with the trail the first time I biked it! I love to hike and bike at night when the trails are deserted and you have them to yourself.
I hear that! We prefer biking through the week instead of the weekends because trails can get so crowded! Which is great for the use of the trail, but it is much nicer, in my opinion, when it’s quieter.
We rode from Emlenton up the trail about 15 miles. We didn't like no Port-Johns or the Roots that pushed up the asphalt in many places. The tunnels were long and beautiful. However, the trails up near Franklin and Oil City are very nice, especially Oil Creek State Park Trail.
We wished we could have gone father into Oil City. It looked really awesome! We need 24 hours of daylight! We have grown to like crushed stone more than asphalt anymore because of the root pops along many routes. I'm not sure why, maybe they just get worn down on the crushed stone, but we never have issues with root pops on crused stone trails.
@@travlinfam I agree about liking crushed Limestone over asphalt trails. The ease of pedaling is great on asphalt. However, the bumps are not so nice. The Trails made of Crushed Limestone in Western PA are the best.
Nice vid! I see you have a Lectric bike. You like it? Is it foldable? The XP3.0 is a class 3 bike, so not allowed on the trail? How could that be enforced?
Yeah, class 3’s are prohibited many places, mine is a Class 2 Lectric! It has served me really well. As for enforcing, some places are very stinky and hand out tickets. We have never received a ticket, but were told to leave one trail because we didn’t realize it was only for Class 1.
Oh, and yes, it folds and fits perfectly in our Kia Niro and even fits it the back seat of our Honda Accord. It is too heavy for me to lift alone, but my husband can lift it himself. It is about 65 lbs.
They have a pretty sweet piece of land, so it would have to be an extremely good offer I am sure for them to sell. It's a rough patch of trail, but thankfully it is possible...just slowly.
Ride it all the time!
You need to try the Armstrong trail from East Brady, the just finished the tunnel there
Also liked your pics of the unibike as well as the 2-wheeler
Thank you! We just started doing that as we get more comfortable with the GoPro camera.
New Sub Here - I watch (and make) so many hiking vids, this was a refreshing change. I live in Pittsburgh. I love that trail for biking.
Thanks and welcome! We have a lot of fun and really enjoy the trails in PA! You have an amazing state!

I ride that trail all the time. Quick, after work ride!! Love it!
@@timswitzer792 you are so lucky to live in paradise!!! I bet it’s beautiful year round.
Beautifully done!!! I'm there with you. Love the drone views of your progress
Awesome, thank you!
Fantastic beauty of a bicycle trail!
Indeed! There is nothing quite like mountain, river, AND trees all along a trail.

I wish whomever owned the land would allow the paved path to continue instead of having to take the dirt detour.
