Notes: You NEED to add Sugar and some Nutmeg for flavour because I couldn't taste it. It was hard to the touch after frying but softened after. You will need to use your discretion to add water.
SisiYemmieTV sis yemmie am using the first method with flour not this one but I don't have nutmeg here it so hard to get here can I make it without nutmeg? I talking about the order video not this one
I am actually digging the two "puff-puff" hairstyle you got going on. Saw it on another video of yours and think it's such a simple, yet gorgeous style on you, Sisi!!😍😍😍
Aww Sisi your make up is beautiful. And I like how you didn't edit away the flecks and dust of puff puff mix and batter on your face and shirt. And I like your hairstyle too :) Two puffs. Very apt lol
You made it work sisi. The idea sounds great... wonder if another brand would have a mix that actually tastes great and has good instruction. Well done!
@SisiYemmieTV l might be wrong but I was wondering what if the recipe actually meant 3/4 cup of water instead of 3-4 cups. Could have been a typo. Just saying. I am not a puff puff pro so I'm not sure if that would have been too thick.
Doobee G Thanks for bringing my attention to that part of the video. The fault here is definitely with the company. The instruction on the pack is "3 - 4 cups (250 -300mls)" of water. 1 cup of water is about 250 ml. So 3 cups at least will be a whole 750 mls of water. Meaning 3-4 cups is definitely not the same as 250-300mls. I bake so I figured that proportion of liquid to flour isn't right.
Hey SisiYemmie, I loved your review. it was super authentic because I saw you improvising with the watery paste. Funny enough we call the same thing Amagwinya were I come from. I wish you would have shown if they were well done inside. I'm interested to know how you serve them in Nigeria.
Candy Banda Where are you from? We typically just eat them like that. Sometimes served with a combination of grilled chicken, mosa and we call it small chops. Thanks for watching 😁
I discovered this exact brand of pufd puff mix at a supermarket in my neighbourhood and ever since then, I have been stuck on it. I just add a little sugar to the mix.
I have tried this mix before but a different brand, they also have pancake,Apple cake etc. I always use my own discretion to add water. Thanks for sharing 😆
I think they made a big error on the pack and actually mean 1 cup or 300-400ml. But thanks for this vid showing the runny turnout when following their instructions
Funny that I saw this today at Shoprite and was wondering if I should buy it or not. Thanks for the review! Definitely would love more of these kinds of videos :)
I was curious so I paused it on the instructions page. (1:01 minute) and I noticed that the 3-4 cups had 250-300mls next to it. According to google, that translates to 1 cup - 1.25 cups of water. So, the "mls" was likely correct (but not the cup conversion). Little wonder why you found it watery. It was three times the required quantity. I just started a puff-puff mix initiative this evening and decided to check a few videos before I post mine....and I bumped into this one. I would like to have you try my mix and would love your feedback.
thank goodness I never got to buy this. I always see it in a supermarket where I live but never had the conviction to buy it. I'll stick to my own mix, thank you
Buyyyy, my little cousin made puff puff with loukamades mix, (abi kini won ma n pe). It actually looks exactly like what you are holding. She had to wait a bit longer than the pack stated for it to rise so it was not exactly instant, lol. Buttt It tasted exactly like puff puff. Thanks for the review, I would have used the watery mix like that cause I kuku don't know any better, I have never made puff puff, but one day we shall get there :) I have the same feelings when it comes to pancake mixes, they're alright but nothing beats making my thing from scratch :)
I think the cup measurement on the pack is a typo. I have tried this product before and used the 250ml - 300ml measurement written on it. It came out well.
Ah Sisi Yemmie you're a puff puff professional. I'm still a learner. I had the same problem with it being runny but I had faith that somehow it'll rise 😒😒😒 Come and see Ororo party in the puff puff when I fried it 😂😂😂😓😓
Thanks for this review!! I like making my Puff Puff from scratch... it's fun. Can you do a review on some of the boxed Fufu mixes? Here in the states there are two that I have tried that I like so far because I don't see myself pounding the cassava or yam any time soon lol.
I don't bother reading the instructions, if at all I'm going to bakemix, I just jeje put water gradually till I reach the consistency I want, it might be printing problem, I may be wrong
lol...i think the instruction may have been 3/4 (3 quarters) cup and not 3-4 cups. tried another brand with 3/4 cup water and it was okayish but I'd rather stick to my own mix.

hi I made this with a cup of water and it turned out perfect! I did notice it needed more sugar though.
Abisola Fadire I feel the same way too.
Yea it seems it's three quarters
That's a very good point Abisola.

I think you could do a series on these kind of 'shortcut' products like sachet stew and things like that
I have tried this mix before but a different brand, they also have pancake,Apple cake etc. I always use my own discretion to add water. Thanks for sharing 😆
Sisi Yemmie can you do a plantain puff puff recipe??
I think they made a big error on the pack and actually mean 1 cup or 300-400ml. But thanks for this vid showing the runny turnout when following their instructions

Yay! marking attendance. How about the taste? was it ok? Does it need any more sugar since you added more flour? Did it taste like puff-puff ? :)
Natural Kel hahaha I'm present too oo..look at her comment above, the pinned comment.
thanks love, just saw her comment after i read your reply.
If it has yeast, would it need to sit and rise for two hours to thicken up?
Infinity Puff puff mix? Issa no from me. If I'm going to go through all that stress, I might as well make mine from scratch.
