@TomRidesBC Oh, you're talking about FUN bikes now. Who makes 'fun' bikes? Please, control yourself! You actually want a putt putt bike. You clearly aren't riding in the style of endurance motocross racing. You're probably not doing riding in the style of motocross racing either.
I would like that security as well, for sure. I may add another button somewhere because apparently a large oroportion of starting issues have to do with poor handlebar switches.
I guess you had a little time to figure out your next bike. Surprised you didn't like the suspension, most people rave about the 2024 CC forks and like the shock as well.
Suspension was not bad, and probably would work well for a lot of people, especially with a revalve. But it was much too stiff in the forks for the terrain i ride, and how i ride it. If i picked up the pace, it felt really good, but i'm not fast at all, mostly 2nd gear, so the action was beating me up. For GNCC, hare scramble, that sort of stuff i think it would do well, not for these trails though. With the clickers backed out a lot of force was being transfered to the spring and it felt spongy. It is amazing how much difference it made. One of the trails in the video (i did not post it complete though, just a few snippets) i was 25% faster with new suspension over stock, and i wasnt even thinking about timing it, just turned on the gopro and rode it as normal. Then i checked on my computer. Arm pump is reduced, it is deflecting much less. So for my weight, and my terrain, it made a big difference. Still have to figure out the oil level to get another inch of travel out of the forks though. At 350 cc now, will try 300 today.
I feel you, same me with old gen of GasGas EC300, is a capable bike, suspension is ok now after some adjustments, but I just get tired of kicking and boiling coolant in hard sections...😅
You've misused your bike that's fine tuned for some other type of riding. Motocross bikes have short wheelbase and fast revving engines that aren't suitable for countryside riding.
@@Gma7788 Ec300 was made for enduro, I just hardened the powervalve spring a luttle to have more constant pull, but needed a fan and biger waterpump for hard enduro... No misused just needed some upgrades. Bulletproof engines however.

@@TomRidesBC Agreed. Take a kxf250 and use a similar chassis and suspension and actually build an off road 250 2 stroke motor for it with a carb and e start and they would sell like water in a desert.

yeah the 50 *almost* fit. I got the chain and sprocket for less than the price of the chain alone, so i'll put up with it for the time being. Next round i'll go 48 for sure. Stock chain is brand new, thanks for confirming that i'll just need the sprocket!
I guess with the LED there's no harm in doing that, good point. KTM is backordered on those switches, I guess many are failing. You are the third person on various platforms who has mentioned theirs is inop, it's a thing I guess.
I bought the same bike. Im also a larger rider. Slightly older guy lol. Been wanting to get Stegpegs. Curious if you can tell me how many rubber blocks is best? Are they hard to get used to?
In terms of getting used to them I'd say the biggest thing is that your feet will be set a little wider on the footpegs, and the toes will be naturally a little more inward, which is a good thing for trail riding, and also why I got a bigger brake tip. One long ride is all it takes I bought extra pucks and longer bolts for my last bike, but never ended up using them, the one puck seems to be enough. If you are mostly dualsporting then extra pucks may be of benefit - less body movement on a dualsport. Riding Enduro I think they will get in the way if they are any bigger. The way they are now, the flat inner part of the boot is on the aluminium bracket, and the puck pushes against the last 1/4 of the boot just as it starts to round back around the calf, if that makes sense.
@@drewellis9560I think the only place to get them is from Australia, from the manufacturer. I've always got them from them direct, never had to pay duty.
Wow that’s some low gearing. 13/45 works super well for me. Remember these new bikes have completely different internal ratios, and they’re very close to the old bike’s 13/50.
@@WASemiHardEnduro you have a very good point about internal ratios - I automatically put on a larger rear because that's been my go-to on many bikes. it does feel pretty low with the 50, I barely use the 1st gear. I've got the Husqvarna te300 pro and these engines are so good I can make the 45t work in the real technical areas but it's mostly what I do. The 48t was perfect without losing top end. I've got a 18 Gasgas xc300 that I went from a 48t to a 50t because the gas gas just didn't lug off the bottom like the new bike. It's only money bud it's good to have options...lol. On a side note my brother has got an 89 kdx200 but needs new power valve gears I think but it ran good for awhile and is plenty capable but its just getting hard to find parts
