Find it pretty funny how both of our top 2 picks are the same, but switched with each other. Also I personally give this video an "It good". Also, happy birthday, man. c:
as well as the Sean Kingston song Fire Burning, Billy Joel's We Didn't Start The Fire, Dragonforce's Through The Fire And The Flames, and The Prodigy's Firestarter.
Lava swimming is one gimmick I'd always love to include if I were to design a fire level (though I usually imagine only fire type characters doing that).
Happy Birthday, QG! ^^ Glad you like the pic I made for you of Lissa from FE: Awakening in a schoolgirl outfit. One of my favorite Fire and Icy levels happens to be Hailfire Peaks from Banjo-Tooie because of the music, the environment and the bosses themselves.
8. I have to admit, Since Skyward Sword is my favorite in the franchise, seeing this on the list is pretty cool 7. I prefer Melty Monster from the sequel. You can even go rock mario bowling. The only problem is the last green star, fuck that shit 4. Even after playing DKC2, I can agree with this 3. I prefer Magmoor caverns. The remix is well appreciated 1. Hey...I called it. No seriously...what are the odds, mate?
First: Happy birthday QG. Guess it makes sense why you'd do a fire level list: fire = candles = birthday cake. Second: One level I think should get an honorable mention, though really only that, is the Netherrealm from almost every Mortal Kombat game. It doesn't really do much with the fire motif, but the fact that certain games let you perform stage fatalities with the fire in interesting ways is a plus. Another one if Mt. Gulg from the original Final Fantasy. i know its yet another fire level, but its a fire level where you actively wade through lava to get through it, which is ridiculous and awesoe
You know. Speaking of Fire Levels, you've done also Ice Levels and Cryomancers. So... I was wondering if you have any plans for Pyromancers? Oh and I forgot. Happy birthday and keep being cool... wait is that even proper way to say in the middle of the heat?
2:13 wait, X is fighting a martial artist in a mech suit with swords, okay given the guy who did his voice in the OVA and the last game, SHINING FINGER SWORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
About N.2, the opposite happened to me, where I came here underleveled and couldn't go back nor finish what I started. Sadly enough that seems to happen to me more often than not.
Nice list as usual, QG! This was a pretty hot topic, huh? ;) Puns aside, happy birthday! :D. Also, that last line: THANK YOU! I'm more of an autumn gal myself, but people always give me weird looks when I say I prefer colder weather to warmer weather. Well considering I've nearly passed out from heat exhaustion a few times too many in summer, ya kinda can't blame me! >.
I still think Crisis City from Generations is one of the best fire levels. The Challenges add that little bit extra. Though I did enjoy some parts of Lava Mountain
I know this isn't technically a level, but one of my favorite fire areas is the active lava zone in subnautica. The lava castle is awesome and imposing, the sea dragons are very dangerous, and it's where you finally meet the emperor.
Gotta be honest, I didn't find the Everdawn Basin all that amazing, especially in comparison to the game's other levels, like Cirromon Caverns or The Sorrowing Meadow. Granted, it's been over 7 months since the last I've played it, but the fact those are other areas left a much bigger impact on me should speak for itself. The only thing I really remember about the Basin was grinding those stupid dog tags. My favourite fire level would be a tie between Mount Horu from Ori and the Blind Forest, and The Sanctuary of Stone and Fire from Rayman 2: the former for being an incredibly challenging final level, pushing your platforming skills to their absolute limits; the latter for the general atmosphere and aesthetic of the location, as well as giving us those lava-resistant plums. 10/10 best way to go down the rivers of lava.
the quarter guy:...reason is you can always put on more layers when it's cold where as during the summer you only take off so many layers me: I never thought I would find someone who shares the exact same logic as I do when it comes to the choice between winter or summer XD
It always pleases me to see sth I'm actually familiar with make it to a countdown and what do you know Generations' Crisis City is No 1 here! And yes, I agree with winter > summer for the same reason. (Also an ice > fire person lol) Also I'd be interested to see a countdown on sth wind elemental (either characters or stages); if not from you then just in general.
I agree. Winter is better than Summer because it would be better to go on walks in the morning or afternoon then in the evening which I normally have to when I want to get my daily exercise.
"Trying not to rage when that infamous Tornado starts carrying away your goal post." Oh trust me... I've died plenty of times because of the Tornado... *eye twitch*
Awww, man, Goron Mines from TP never gets any love. Sure it's not your typical fire level, but it's my fav Zelda dungeon. Oh well, it's fine. I never got to Fire Sanctuary in SS simply because well, I lost interest in the game, which is sad since I like a lot of aspects of the game. Just the change of gameplay was so jarring I couldn't sink in as I normally do. I love your Super Mario level entry on this list. I still didn't like that Ball one. Granted Freeflame is also my favorite, but as far as single Fire Areas, this one is still a fav. Yeah I was SOOO relieved when I saw the Purple Coin Challenge didn't have a time limit. I'll admit it though Lethal Lava Land in M64 is still fun. I have Generations and yet to finish the game, so no I haven't gotten to that area yet. Watching this video makes me want to do that now lol. Oh I prefer Winter over Summer too for the reason you just stated, but honestly my favorite season is Autumn hehe.
Personally one of my favorite fire levels is the final level in Touhou 11 though there are no specific fire enemies bar the final boss (instead going with spirits as per hell of blazing flames) it might be the most awesome descriptions of a fire stage to tell anyone "the level is just about fighting a nuclear powered hell raven in the nuclear powered flames of hell."
Totally didn't see Crisis City coming, let alone at the number 1 spot. But I'm glad it did. EDIT: Also, ironically, the weather is quite cold over here, what with all the rain and crap.
12:28 Oh, shots fired XD But yeah, ScrewAttack has become host of Death Battle only... because apparently, Game Attack took the game aspect with them when they formed and then left Rooster Teeth. Seriously, if you check Wikipedia's page about ScrewAttack, there's a HUGE list of former shows... and they have the bare minimum now...
Honestly this list really melts my soul, though by inserting what I will say, itll heat up the comments. Its that Wonderful 101 actually came out before A Link Between Worlds, almost 3 months, so Lavarule, or LowRule, technically isnt to blame, and not the Fire puns. xD
For fire levels, I'd say either Red Mountain from Sonic Adventure, Lethal Lava Land from Super Mario 64, or Bowser's Castle from Mario Kart 8 (That does count, right?).
Find it pretty funny how both of our top 2 picks are the same, but switched with each other. Also I personally give this video an "It good". Also, happy birthday, man. c:
That tornado is carrying a fire level countdown!
the only thing I have to say about number 3 is this:
I WAS WATCHING TELEVISION
GhostFalcon Hello, fellow TRG fan! That was quite a hilarious segment, wasn't it?
GhostFalcon I was hoping someone would say that 😂
I think I got a cramp in my vernacular from laughter
I WAS WAT-CHING TE-LE-VI-SION
I'm watching a fire level list......WHILE IT'S RAINING!!!
This list in a nutshell:
Beavis: Hehehehe Yeah yeah, Fire fire fire fire
I was thinking the Cascada song Pyromania.
Nathan Case I didn’t knew that!? (But then again I only listen to her 3 songs) XD
as well as the Sean Kingston song Fire Burning, Billy Joel's We Didn't Start The Fire, Dragonforce's Through The Fire And The Flames, and The Prodigy's Firestarter.
Yet another great list and once again, happy birthday, QG!
Happy birthday! Also a fitting countdown to start off the Leo star span (Fire element in the summer ruled by the sun)
8. I have to admit, Since Skyward Sword is my favorite in the franchise, seeing this on the list is pretty cool
7. I prefer Melty Monster from the sequel. You can even go rock mario bowling. The only problem is the last green star, fuck that shit
4. Even after playing DKC2, I can agree with this
3. I prefer Magmoor caverns. The remix is well appreciated

Happy birthday to the quarter guy!! May your Pokémon be shiny and your score be higher than ever!
Tropical Freeze is on this yes HELL YEAH!
I think the music in Dragoon's stage fits well. It's got an element of mystery and adventure that works out for the stage.
yo i used that reasoning of season clothing in a impromptu speech for school; got a good laugh out of it.
I completely agree about your winter vs summer statement
Hey 25G thanks for answering some of my questions on the livestream earlier today and happy birthday
Apologies for being a day late, but happy birthday QG. Looking forward to seeing more of you in the future.
Nice list, keep up the good work. Also, happy birthday. Also also, OBLIGATORY FIRE PUN
You know. Speaking of Fire Levels, you've done also Ice Levels and Cryomancers. So... I was wondering if you have any plans for Pyromancers?
Oh and I forgot. Happy birthday and keep being cool... wait is that even proper way to say in the middle of the heat?
Nice list QG! Also Happy Birthday!
Great video!!! And, Happy Birthday QG.
Finally! Someone else who likes winter over summer for basically the same reason!
Happy Birthday, QG!
the x-ray visor was located in brinstar in an area you need the grapple beam to reach unless your good with wall jumping.
also the power bombs are acquired to blow up the wall to the room with the visor
Correction it only requires the grapple beam so you don't land on spikes below the hook points.
2:13 wait, X is fighting a martial artist in a mech suit with swords, okay given the guy who did his voice in the OVA and the last game, SHINING FINGER SWORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not gonna lie, I'm not a fan of most countdown artists' and reviewers' new avatars, but yours is on point.
About N.2, the opposite happened to me, where I came here underleveled and couldn't go back nor finish what I started. Sadly enough that seems to happen to me more often than not.
Was this the suprise mentioned in the stream? Either way Happy Birthday you magnificent genius!
The good type of BURN! A good fire level. Hope Freeze-Flame Galaxy is here (if it counts).
Cauldros better be on this list
So this is the announcement!? Excellent!
7:08 OBJECTION! The Wonderful 101 released in August of 2013, while A Link Between Worlds released in November! The Wonderful 101 did Lo(w)rule first!
Nice list as usual, QG! This was a pretty hot topic, huh? ;)
Puns aside, happy birthday! :D.
Also, that last line: THANK YOU! I'm more of an autumn gal myself, but people always give me weird looks when I say I prefer colder weather to warmer weather. Well considering I've nearly passed out from heat exhaustion a few times too many in summer, ya kinda can't blame me! >.
Anyone else want a Top 10 Sky levels from either The Quarter Guy, The Green Scorpion, or Wiidude83?
OPGengar - Wiidude unfortunately doesn't do countdowns anymore. He mostly does reviews now.
DJAB87 Oh, well then Top 10 Sky levels from either The Quarter Guy or The Green Scorpion
I still think Crisis City from Generations is one of the best fire levels. The Challenges add that little bit extra. Though I did enjoy some parts of Lava Mountain
HAPPY BDAY DUDE
Let's all listen to quarter Guy's mixtape, it's gonna be lit fam
I know this isn't technically a level, but one of my favorite fire areas is the active lava zone in subnautica. The lava castle is awesome and imposing, the sea dragons are very dangerous, and it's where you finally meet the emperor.
Gotta agree with you there QG, and the irony is... I'm a Summer baby. When it gets too hot I can't function at work.
16:39 Oh, I'm with you there, brother!
Love the Shulk Between Worlds shirt!
Fajro Temple from crosscode. (although it's a fire dungeon, the puzzles integrate the cold element.
While I normally don't give a crap abouy fire levels in most cases, When they're done Right, THEY ARE FREAKING DONE RIGHT!
#1 I like that level too 2D and 3D level great. Music is amazing I like it.
the quarter guy:...reason is you can always put on more layers when it's cold where as during the summer you only take off so many layers
me: I never thought I would find someone who shares the exact same logic as I do when it comes to the choice between winter or summer XD
9:13
I'd be happy with a Switch remaster of 1 & 2 and maybe Red Hot Rumble. But yes, I want VJ3.
It always pleases me to see sth I'm actually familiar with make it to a countdown and what do you know Generations' Crisis City is No 1 here!
And yes, I agree with winter > summer for the same reason. (Also an ice > fire person lol)

I agree. Winter is better than Summer because it would be better to go on walks in the morning or afternoon then in the evening which I normally have to when I want to get my daily exercise.
#2 Giaus is the army's general, so it makes you wonder. Whos orders was he following and belaying?
"Trying not to rage when that infamous Tornado starts carrying away your goal post." Oh trust me... I've died plenty of times because of the Tornado... *eye twitch*
Awww, man, Goron Mines from TP never gets any love. Sure it's not your typical fire level, but it's my fav Zelda dungeon. Oh well, it's fine. 4.) So much to relate too on this one.
16:45 SWEET JESUS THAT'S EXACTLY MY REASON!
Oh yeah there was this countdown. Guess things are really heating up for these contenders huh?
shadowlinkbds well what else can we say? It's a pretty hot topic
You guys are on fire. Just sayin'
Thanks! Hopin' this doesn't crash and burn
Guys
Let off some steam
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Also I got to your stream right as it ended, I'm salty
*Hears breakdown in the end credits*
IS THAT A MOTHER FUCKING JOJO REFERENCE?!
quarter guy, can you please do top 10 favorite video games please?
For number 9, I like the fact that the same story concept comes back in Monster Hunter Stories
I just have to say, I love how all the Monster Hunter players named their characters after Suikoden characters.
your number 6 didn't have Wonder Blue saying the best win quote after battle in vidja gemz, I rate 9/10.1
(still a good list)
I thought you mentioned on Red Mountain from Sonic Adventure, but Crisis City from Sonic Generations(a Sonic '06 stage) is even better
Totally didn't see Crisis City coming, let alone at the number 1 spot. But I'm glad it did.
EDIT: Also, ironically, the weather is quite cold over here, what with all the rain and crap.
Sure you can't do anything with your clothes to cool down but you can always down something cold, like ice cream or a tall refreshing glass of water!
12:28 Oh, shots fired XD
But yeah, ScrewAttack has become host of Death Battle only... because apparently, Game Attack took the game aspect with them when they formed and then left Rooster Teeth.
Seriously, if you check Wikipedia's page about ScrewAttack, there's a HUGE list of former shows... and they have the bare minimum now...
Hardly relevant, but "compound" is the world I'm looking for--I kept calling it "hybrid" in the past.
Honestly this list really melts my soul, though by inserting what I will say, itll heat up the comments. Its that Wonderful 101 actually came out before A Link Between Worlds, almost 3 months, so Lavarule, or LowRule, technically isnt to blame, and not the Fire puns. xD
I do absolutely love the level in Wonderful 101 though, its one of my favorite levels.
I hear you on that Magma Dragoon is my Maverick in Megaman X4
For fire levels, I'd say either Red Mountain from Sonic Adventure, Lethal Lava Land from Super Mario 64, or Bowser's Castle from Mario Kart 8 (That does count, right?).
13:25b well, not only that, but if i recall, some furries praise it for how amazing this game is.
If I had to say what my favorite fire level is,it would be Lava Reef Zone from 3 and K and Mania.
I think the best way to make a fire level is how the fire gets used in the level.
I'm the opposite actually, prefer summer over winter.
Calling it now Daisuke Ishiwatari's gonna be on the next list.
At 12:08 isn’t the x-ray visor in Brinstar?
my favorite fire level is the one from "Pokepark Wii: Pikachu's adventure"
Also, agreed on the preference to Winter over Summer
Also, I kind of wish Chapter 10 from Kid Icarus Uprising made the list. I love that level.
COME BACK TO US, ADAM
MELT WITH US, ADAM
Damn, that Screwattack roast.
Hey Quarter Guy. Hope you had a blazing birthday today.
Wow, huge diss on Screw Attack out of nowhere...
Ah, fire.
My second favorite natural element, next to lightning/electricity~
I've never been this early, period.
Btw have you been accidentally moving/hitting you mic during this video cause you can hear the movement of the mic in the video?
I just have one thing to say about number 1: ITS NO USE!!!
Ginger Kays DONT REMIND ME OF THAT HORROR
What are you talking about? It never happened, it never existed
Even though I am a California boy, I prefer the cold due to high levels of internal heat.
The moment when a tornado carrying a car became cool
Funny how Quarter Guy mentions AZ when it's currently in it's Monsoon Season.
pichugirl6 Really? How long does that last?
It depends on the time. It begins around roughly half of July and ends around half of September.
how have you not gotten to 100k yet?
Chris Crespo Maybe it's because my old lists haven't aged well.
I honestly loved them but I can see where you are coming from.
my question was never answered. does Hail fire peaks count as a fire level or not?
While Crisis City was astoundingly great in Generations, I still prefer the likes of Lava Reef Zone and Hot Crater just a _bit_ more.
I always forget that the Sonic Advance games even exist. The only one I've played is 3, and that's considered the worst one.
I like hill top zone in sonic 2.
dimentiorules some people say 2 is worst
Well I thought is was just gonna be a teaser, good to be wrong at times
RIP Dangerous Dinner
okay well I kinda agree on the laval area in monster hunter
No more Honorable Mentions? I can think of one: Risky's Lair from Shantae Half Genie Hero.
7.8/10 No Dangerous Dinner.
I need to know where he got that Shulk shirt. For, uh...reasons.
Sonic Adventure had the best Fire Level.
