One usually needs to be there to enjoy a live set but the exceptional quality of the sound and mix gives us the opportunity to be there with them. It’s like traveling through time.
Really air is good for everything, for love, anxiety, dreams, summer cocktails, drifting into space or flying over the ocean not as an human but only the energy itself, raindrops falling listening to this, makes me feel like im some kind of time machine going back in time and the same time into the present and future and out of space being everywhere and nothing, a sereen place where you can be anything you want to be, want to be the tree, yes you can! Its like air is the perfect joint

I can't express how disappointed I am that as a Sydney sider I missed this gig, and how happy I am at the same time that this recording exists. God bless AIR
Is water that important? yes it is necessary for life, but, for how long can you live without food? a week or so? how long can you live without water, a few days? for how long can you hold your breath and live without AIR?
I was there that night. It was part of "Vivid", an annual light show all around Sydney originally devised by Brian Eno. What a wonderful night. It seems a thousand years away now.
I'm so so so happy that this was uploaded and they got to perform on such a stage. It's so hard finding live Air performances on YT, and this is just incredible.
"New" synths they use are old! late 90s was 30 years ago! Now they are all old, haha, but I get what you mean: analog and digital synths work toghether well
We are in 2017...3 years from 2020...Its 30 years from 1990 to 2020. Of course im rounding up the numbers, since moon safari was in the very, very late 90´s, but you get the idea, this is not a new album. You can already call it a classic!
👉🏾I first discovered, Air, back in 2006, while working at a neighborhood cafe here in Brooklyn. I selected a random CD to play. The album was, "Moon Safari!" I never heard of them. Every song that came on, captivated me. I played, "Moon Safari" every shift. Their music is timeless! 😁
Amazing concert. So pure, so simple. The recording quality is amazing (both video and audio). Bravo Air! Magnifique!
I love them since 2000 maybe 2001. I was 12 back then and nom i'm 29 near 30 and i stll love it. They are such inspiration for me and my generation. All those synths, Solina, Moogs, SH101. Even i'm more house/techno guy i stll love a sound of AIR. Still fresh and iconic!
I used to travel to Japan a lot. This song, and many other Air songs, was incredible listening while walking in very early mornings in Tokyo or other Japanese cities. It was always a beautiful feeling. Their music is just incredible.
Those versions of 'People in the City' and 'Radian', and the fade in between, give me the chills everytime I listen to it. So much better than the studio versions. What a band! ♥️
Yeah for sure, I'm loving it too. The power of Live, where they can mess around with jams they came up with in practice and not have to follow any rules to be radio friendly, maybe!
"Run" from 46:00 to 47:35 is totally out of this world, i wish to know more songs with theses vibes. If people here has some recommendations to share with me, it will be a huge pleasure. thank you ! Thanks Boiler Room for the quality of the upload.
Soooo much love ❤ I'm about to see them live again for their Moon Safari tour, i'm so excited...it will be awesome. Thanks JB and Nicolas for all you gave us. 🥰
10 000 Hertz Legend has to pretty much be my #1 favourite album of all time. It's a crying shame these guys don't always bring the organic instrumentation on tours like the flute on Cherry Blossom Girl, and different elements from songs that would presumably be challenging to pull off live. It'd still be nice to see though.
We'll take what we can get, let's not get bold. That being said, I havent seen a live version of "All I need", so it seems for whatever reason, they never play it live.
Grazie!
no way! holy shit .... totally speechless. u've outdone yourselves Boiler Room - so glad you exist and operate in the world! I am continuously blown away with the quality, and diversity of acts you feature. coolest team ever
I think that's the one of the most incredible concert of the modern era! I think I saw it 10 times since the release and never tired of seeing it. What an incredible band!
3:33 WOWWWW his chord voicings have gotten SO refined over the years on those god damn onion-cutting Rhodes riffs. Damn, incredible performance! The French do music best!
As we layed in bed with my lover, in my room with a window overlooking the Brooklyn M train tracks and rain pouring outside, we came to the conclusion that AIR is for those who are in love, have been in love, or are falling in love.
i totally agree. Have used their music for all 3 of those things... before (when everything is new and exiting), during (when you're filled with happiness), and after (sadness, bitternes, remorse/relief)... it never gets any easier, but i always tend to go to music like this as a way of coping..
This sounds beyond beautiful. I used to listen to them on repeat walking to High School every morning. The memories are flooding back. The instrumentation is gorgeous...hope to see them live sometime. Thanks for posting this.
All the best. With love
A neighbour introduced me to Moon Safari back in the day and AIR has been a favourite ever since. Thanks for this because I’ve never had the opportunity to see a live show.
Damn! They played "Alone in Kyoto" here. I'm quite sure I will never be able to get over their beautiful set at Corona Capital Festival in Mexico City two years ago. This set is a gem.
YESSSSSSSSSSS this looks and sounds so great! Hope I get to see these guys live in my lifetime! SUCH AN UNDERRATED AND MAGICAL BAND holy cow what a set list!
What a show... It offers incredible insight into what this band is all about. At the same time, it feels like a slightly bitter-sweet statement of their legacy.
It's really great. If I had a wish, it would be that they would've played 'Tropical Disease' and 'Electronic Performers'. Those two songs are so amazing live and would've translated better than some other choices. Still, amazing stuff! Life is so much better with this music. I hope for a little more in the future!
I've really enjoyed watching this and a similar video from their museum concert. It looks like they're playing most of it live which is great to see. It sounds really good, they have some genius compositions, fair play to them.Their extra keyboard player and drummer are really good too. One of the coolest bits is the 2nd keyboard player on the synth bass like at 13:37.
I was there. This is the best concert in my life so far.
More than a little jealous ;-)

I am an air fan since 1998, one of my favorite bands ever.
Airver
One usually needs to be there to enjoy a live set but the exceptional quality of the sound and mix gives us the opportunity to be there with them. It’s like traveling through time.
The drummer is just fantastic here
I agree. Everything sounds just right he does.. Snare is so warm, yet crispy. perfect mixing. What set does he play?
Dave Grohl, he’s always good on drums isnt he 😊
Especially in "Don't be light"
I saw them few days ago with the same drummer (Louis Delorme) and yes, he is really amazing !
The Doors could sound like this nowadays..Air are incredible and so underrated...one of the best bands ever...so artistic..
Underrated? Are you serious?
I noticed on one song the Keyboards were very "Doors like" or Manzarek influenced.. track 2 I think..'.don't be light'...
Jims voice could never go that squeaky 😂
@md144 I agree. It's how the guy is playing the organ.
I was there that night.
It was part of "Vivid", an annual light show all around Sydney originally devised by Brian Eno.
What a wonderful night.
It seems a thousand years away now.
Sounding that good is supernatural. There are exceptional sound guys working behind the band.
One of the best live sounds I've ever heard
Has to be the greatest boiler room session ever.
Run Live gives me goosebumps on the goosebumps that the studio version of Run already gave me!
It's true
Lo bueno es para pocos.
Lucky you :)
It has almost been two decades since I heard AIR for the first time and each time I listen to them it feels like a fresh breeze...of air
The same here. Hence the name: :D
Saw Air Live at the Brixton Academy, nearly 20 years ago now. Their music is still brilliant today.
I'm so so so happy that this was uploaded and they got to perform on such a stage. It's so hard finding live Air performances on YT, and this is just incredible.
Yep, there's a couple of great live shows that have been taken down which is silly. Hope this one stays on haha
Are you the drummer?
Damn right bro
5 years later I’ve never heard of AIR. Just found this today and will listen to everything they have. So so so good✌️
update?
Make sure to listen to their EP "Premier Symptomes".

I used to travel to Japan a lot. This song, and many other Air songs, was incredible listening while walking in very early mornings in Tokyo or other Japanese cities. It was always a beautiful feeling. Their music is just incredible.
Met them backstage at Santa Barbara Bowl! So nice and down to earth. 🇫🇷 the actress from an early AIR video was there too.
Got to love a band that plays banjo andwhistles! Such a great performance, just getting on with it and superb support from the guest musicians.
Those versions of 'People in the City' and 'Radian', and the fade in between, give me the chills everytime I listen to it. So much better than the studio versions. What a band! ♥️

...thanks - that was the greatest live show I have ever witnessed - the synths and the lo-fi bass+drums make Air's groove unique...

Music is a language in what it speaks to us, we "understand" something even if we don't know what. Thanks Air to give us these beautiful tones ;)

I always disliked AIR, but, jeez, they pull it off live. Really good and on top of it. Hats off
Tremendous as always, and i love how they include the more obscure tracks that only the true fans will know. And then remix them up. True pros.
As we layed in bed with my lover, in my room with a window overlooking the Brooklyn M train tracks and rain pouring outside, we came to the conclusion that AIR is for those who are in love, have been in love, or are falling in love.

This has to set a record for most keyboards on stage at one time.
i love boiler room. thank you! air is so perfectly blissful.
a little bit of phaser and reverb on most of the synths is awesome.
This is very similar to the gig they played here in NY recently. Thanks for this upload, another great performance by AIR.
I love the sound of the voice in how does it make you feel, also I like the way they slow down a little bit for the 2nd verse
