November. Cold and dark in Stockholm. My plan was to head out on a five hour long bike ride, but now I am stuck at home, listening, and watching this great concert.
I cherish the memories from the late 90s and early 2000s. This amazing piece of music brings back the joy of vibrant nights filled with dancing. Wishing you all the best.
This Air album has been the soundtrack of the most crucial time of my life: chilling out with friends, falling in love with a beautiful girl, and eventually going abroad for one year to reset my mind... This record marked my life for sure
I was at this show, I waited years to see them live and certainly was not disappointed. Wow. Just to hear this album played live, the RAH experience was exquisite and it really acted as a spectacular backdrop to the light show. So pleased that I can relive this again... If I died today, I would rank this as the best live show I have experienced and would urge anyone just to listen to this album once, you'll fall in love.....
The "if I died today" comment is SO true in regards to top tier concerts. I'm a metalhead, yet this was arguably the most mind-melting and memorable musical experience I have EVER been subjected to.
The music is sublime, the elegance in performing it, but whoever designed the lighting is also a great artist. That idea of putting them in a booth with that light show, an incredible spectacle.
I remember taking this CD to a party with a group of people about 15-20 years older than me. EVERYONE loved it and kept asking what it was. I even got a job out of it at EA.
Yes, me too! I wish there could be a professional filming of every show so that people would leave their phones at home. It’s so annoying and distracting! This show was brilliant I didn’t film a single second of it I just danced the entire time.
Yes! Love your channel. Would be awesome to see it on the close camera without any shifts to other camera angles as well. Just one shot. Love this though. Favorite concert

I got to see them live as a surprise birthday gift just last night in Toronto. YOU HAVE TO see them live. It was the BEST live musical experience I have ever experienced, and may ever experience. And I have been to a lot of concerts of different genres. Their classiness, musical tightness, production, and mysterious presence was fucking flooring to me.
Saw Air at Glastonbury in 2002, after listening to Moon Safari almost nightly at my gfs apartment in 1999, and have been a fan of them ever since. Cannot wait to see them in Chicago next month! Perfection in sound ❤
Yes, music of the 90's. When there was everything and anything. This music was still underground but the cool people and music store employees showed me.
Big fan since first hearing Le Soleil est près de moi on the radio in 97. Rushed out to get Moon Safari once it came out and then played it to death over the next few years until I couldn't listen to it anymore. Fantastic album from start to finish. Lost interest after 10,000hz though. But nice to see them having a revival recently. Really enjoyed the album of demos and mixes this year.
Just got home from the show in Denver. Unreal experience for a legendary album. Incredible sounds, musicianship, and like others have said, the visuals were jaw dropping throughout. The storm during Run and the 3D effect of the lights during Don’t Be Light are something I’ll never forget live. Best visuals I’ve ever seen. Thanks Air and your entire team who brought this to life!
1998, we went home from a house club party to a friend of mine. We listened to the this sound to come down...moments I will never forget in my life.....
Wow! There's not many concerts I feel envy not attending. This is definitely one that I would love to have been there. Kudos to the Band, lighting, *sound* and camera crew. 👌 awarding winning imo and thank you so much for ARTE
Just got home from seeing the detroit show. Exact same everything as this. So damn good! Been waiting for 2 decades to see them. Absolutely not disappointed. If you're a fan, find where they're playing and go see them!
Anyone else love how they punched up the drums in the live show ?? I feel like in the late 90s/early 2000s bands recorded their drums to sound soft but these same songs with punchier drums feel like they were made this year. 😍 When we heard “run” live I thought I’d never heard it before 😱🤩
Yeah indeed! There’s a punch in the drums that makes the music sound just a little bit modern but still not that much deviating from the originals. Of course some part of it just comes from being live, but there’s some aesthetic choice there as well for sure. I think the advancements of in ear monitors play a critical role there too. Of course this does not explain the deviation from the album sound but explains why performances now sound way more punchy than before. Stage is probably almost completely silent apart from the drums, which doesn’t only makes it way easier to record and mix live performances, also allows the performers to play in a much steady and well felt velocity.
Agreed! They added some fills to liven it up, some riffs on bass and guitar as well. I didn’t think it was possible to improve over the studio versions but they nailed it
I just went to the show in Chicago. My friend and I said the exact same thing! The drumming took everything to a new level. Amazing show. I'll never forget it.
As a drummer I can tell you that this is normal for live performances. Depeche has done this for nearly every show, and it’s because no matter the music, it’s a rock concert, even if it’s not rock. You need that energy and drive and it can’t sound weak, or people will fall asleep. And I agree, for this music it adds an extra modern feel for sure.
Just saw them at the Beacon in NYC last night, the drumming was outstanding, mic-ed perfectly, greatly enhanced the whole experience. Such a great show
Let me be the party pooper and say, it's not perfect. All I need is a classic and very recognisable. Not did they not have the original singer, they had no singer and botched the whole song.
Of course it's perfect... it seems there is a lot of pre-recorded stuff. For example here: th-cam.com/video/uQauaVbPEAA/w-d-xo.html a piano arpegio plays...but his hand does not move as it should. Still love AIR.
Saw this show in Luxembourg in July. All and all it was good show or more a presentation of their songs, not a live concert. For sure there was lots of prerecorded stuff. I agree the versions of All I Need and You Make It Easy were not that good...
We're never alone in Kyoto ♥

I just checked and they will be in Miami on Oct 26 at the Fillmore. They will also be in Atlanta two days prior if you live in the north of the state and it makes more sense to you. I will see them here in LA on Sep 29, hope you get to see them live too.
This concert is a perfect example that not really the size of a show matters but the quality of the audiovisual experience. Saw them in Berlin and for me this looks way more creative than the setup of much larger shows of more famous artists.
they were absulotley amazing at this show, my son 20 and nephew 15 also came and thoroughly enjoyed the specatcle and talent on show. I could listen to this all day.
Moon Safari. I’ve gifted this to quite a few people. Those who haven’t heard it need to. They don’t realise they’ll join a special club. Try it on a 43-44 minute drive. Oh yes. Amazing album.
France.
Just saw them last night in Atlanta and it was easily one of the best live shows I've ever seen. Their tambor, live mix and attention to detail is second to none. Really phenomenal band.

First time I heard this music was at a coffee shop at 6:00 am on my way to work in the ER. Bought the CD next day. Never saw them live, but my middle son now does stage lighting for music festivals . I think he would dig this performance.
My favorite "Live Album" of all time is "Seconds Out' by Genesis, then Frampton Comes Alive .If Air bring this concert at the Royal Albert Hall out as a double live album then it would certainly be up there with the best of the best.
😍😍 Quel merveilleux spectacle !
Merci beaucoup Arte 🙏🏾🪷🙏🏾 I'm 43 & have grown up with this album (most intimately in the past decade). I know the songs inside out. So it was a super emotional treat to hear these special versions by AIR. (Especially Playground Love ♥️) I'm super emotional & bawling out now. The power of music rules dominant - cyclically through time & space. Thanks for bringing back the power again 👊🏾 Also.... MAAAAD RESPECT to the stage & light designers 🙏🏾
My wife & I have 'all I need' engraved in our wedding rings in 2002 - still married :) saw them live (in Manchester) back in about 2001 & lucky enough to see them at the amazing Piece Hall earlier this year - would love to see a live version with Beth Hirsch singing the vocal!
We saw this last night in Dalllas and they did *not* disappoint. I went with high expectations and they exceeded them. Nicolas is one of my favorite bass players, and it was such a treat to hear that gorgeous, liquid, warm tone live. I hope it’s not the last opportunity I get to see them. Merci, Nicolas & JB!! ❤️❤️
I bought walkie talkie on vinyl at a time when all I listened to was techno, drum n bass, and top 40 (around 2008). It was so different, relaxing, and emotional; I couldn't stop listening to the record. I really do love these songs. Thank you!!!
The power of sound just arrived on my sofa! (What an amazing experience in times of scrolling, moving, running, skiping - to open a laptop and stay for 90 minutes like being caught in frozen frame.) Great performance. Thank you.
November. Cold and dark in Stockholm. My plan was to head out on a five hour long bike ride, but now I am stuck at home, listening, and watching this great concert.

Yes, french elegance. Maybe not easy for them to play with huge stroboscopic ligths just behind. Amazing.
Visually speaking, putting them in a booth was probably not the best idea considering the audience on the extreme left and right of the arena ;)
its a roll of film, moving with the AIR.
I never thought I'd see this album done justice in a Live setting, yet here we are! What an incredible light show to match the performance.

You don’t know what you’re talking about.
What matters is the musicianship and the chemistry between the 3 players on stage. They created an incredibly special show with that.
Still as fresh as 98…cheers for the upload 👍
Indeed
Absolutely
This left me speechless. I had no idea Air was still around.
they were absulotley amazing at this show, my son 20 and nephew 15 also came and thoroughly enjoyed the specatcle and talent on show. I could listen to this all day.
Anniversary tour for Moon Safari.
Another masterpiece of humanity!
Radian performance is just out-of-this-world! So beautiful!
It wasn't that cool either, don't exaggerate.
One of the soundtrack staples of my life, you all sound amazing. Love the sparkle top Fender Rhodes, Thank you!
I just saw the Toronto show. It was one of the most incredible live shows I've ever seen. Like spending time with an old friend. Absolutely amazing.
They sound wonderful, and the lightscape is enthralling. Feeling nostalgic.
Nostalgic ? It is still Avantgarde !!
@@peterschmitz6446 Still cutting edge, no doubt, but I remember when Moon Safari first came out. Great era of music.
AIR will be live in PARIS on March 25th and 26th (SOLD OUT). They've added a 3rd date on March 27th !!
Moon Safari. I’ve gifted this to quite a few people. Those who haven’t heard it need to. They don’t realise they’ll join a special club. Try it on a 43-44 minute drive. Oh yes. Amazing album.
France.
you're a good friend to these people

The stage design & visuals befits such a beautiful venue.
31:28 my favorite part, how trippy. love this music, it is part of my musical identitiy
Just saw them last night in Atlanta and it was easily one of the best live shows I've ever seen. Their tambor, live mix and attention to detail is second to none. Really phenomenal band.
Petition to extend the availibility of this to forever, as AIR is like a medicine for us.
Fans from Paris ❤
Love that, "Air is like medicine" ✌️

First time I heard this music was at a coffee shop at 6:00 am on my way to work in the ER. Bought the CD next day. Never saw them live, but my middle son now does stage lighting for music festivals . I think he would dig this performance.
My favorite "Live Album" of all time is "Seconds Out' by Genesis, then Frampton Comes Alive .If Air bring this concert at the Royal Albert Hall out as a double live album then it would certainly be up there with the best of the best.
I picked up a Moon Safari CD when I studied in Glasgow in 1999. Brings back fantastic memories for me at that time while in Glasgow...
😍😍 Quel merveilleux spectacle !
I haven't seen a show so well filmed and immersive since Archive last year👌
one of my personal favorite classic Top of the Best albums for the century and Soundscape of my Life
Merci beaucoup Arte 🙏🏾🪷🙏🏾 I'm 43 & have grown up with this album (most intimately in the past decade). I know the songs inside out. So it was a super emotional treat to hear these special versions by AIR. (Especially Playground Love ♥️) I'm super emotional & bawling out now. The power of music rules dominant - cyclically through time & space. Thanks for bringing back the power again 👊🏾
Also.... MAAAAD RESPECT to the stage & light designers 🙏🏾
niiiiiiiiiiiiice i just listened to this twice today at work......!!
All I Need was my 1st dance when I got married back in 2003, beautiful track, awesome album... still married!
My wife & I have 'all I need' engraved in our wedding rings in 2002 - still married :) saw them live (in Manchester) back in about 2001 & lucky enough to see them at the amazing Piece Hall earlier this year - would love to see a live version with Beth Hirsch singing the vocal!
Great choice. A hell of a beautiful song...and videoclip.
Bucket list check! Toronto Danforth Music Hall Oct 12 , 2024! Perfect! .....bought Moon Safari CD in 1998, now own it on vinyl! Merci!
Fabulous show. Tankful to get to watch it again on youtube, and share with others.
It's difficult to put into words how amazing this is.
The power of sound just arrived on my sofa! (What an amazing experience in times of scrolling, moving, running, skiping - to open a laptop and stay for 90 minutes like being caught in frozen frame.) Great performance. Thank you.
This is the classiest live show I've ever seen. Kudos to the stage director!
Just saw them at the Anthem in Washington, DC. This is not an album, this is an experience and I am so grateful to have lived it.
wow
French Touch it was incredible so many Talents in France i m 53 years old it Was New et for ever Air in m'y Heart

For me, Ce Matin la has always been the standout track on this album
I just saw them perform live in Vancouver, it was great. Now I can watch is again here.
I was at this show, probably the best live performance I had the pleasure of witnessing in my life!
Lucky and happy are you !!
