Listened to this over and over in the wee hours of a quiet night shift job...transcendent, rarefied, atmospheric. This music reaches the soul level of human experience. Thank you, Air, for bringing such magic into an otherwise mundane period of my life.
As a classically trained piano player I can say without any doubt that the piano riff in Once Upon A Time is one of the most beautiful piano lines in pop music. This album is a masterpiece.

This is amazing, i've been listening to this album since was released, a friend gave it to me as a gift for my birthday. Today im alone and drinking beer at home, dancing and chilling with this wonderful music, the sound surrounding the whole space. My leg is broken and i am supposed to spend all my time in the walls of my house (for at least 3 weeks more). Biggest bummer in life till now. Somehow though, i feel nothing is wrong, and the world is still the strangest most beautiful place, while listening to this album. AIR, you are so very wonderful to listen to!

At first I hated Air so much when radio was spamming the radio edit of "sexy boy" all the time. Then I discovered the rest and fell in love with it. And I ended up appreciating sexy boy too hahaha.

@@MozartFucker sexy boy is an absolutely horrible song. But it's so out weighed judge against the rest of their catalog.
Now here's a group this septuagenarian can get behind. Their creativity suprises me at each turn. The melodious compositions are mixed extremely well ... each track is a perfect addition to the whole. The percussion nears perfection. Old farts learn something new all the time. I "discovered" Heart twenty years after they debuted. Now, I have a new "discovery." Thanks, Little Girl.
In this same line, you should listen to Fernandez 4 an Argentinian band that has released several LPs by now. The drummer is the grandson of Astor Piazzola. Greetings from one 70er to another!!

Oh my Gooood. I needed that. At the end of the album, I am so perfectly massaged between the ears, that I can feel the balance throughout my body. Your albums are like a peaceful remedy.

An underrated, subtle masterpiece (apart from maybe track 3.) Gorgeous music. But then, I think every Air album is pretty great...I've never really been disappointed in their output. Beautiful and at times unusual harmonies, some strange but easily inhabitable atmospheres - and creative sonic wizardry on every single one. Humour too. This might be one of my favourites now, however.
Jarvis' song is a bit hokey. I like the idea behind it and the blunt yet relatable lyrics. I mostly just wish he sung a bit better - he sounds very uncomfortably strained. Maybe that's the point but it doesn't sound pleasant during his higher and longer notes.
Track 3 is actually great, which air-listener had never have a hell of a party i.e. an exaggeration with substances ("drugs")? But the song after it brings the sun back. It´s a wonderful trip, with a necessary down (fortunately very short).

I think that people who don't like One Hell of a Party are people who maybe are not that into Pulp, because in this song you get the typical Jarvis Cocker's dramatic vocals. As a fan of Pulp, I love this song.
Thankyou Air. I've needed your music on many occasion, enjoyed it more often and loved it the most.
Air is not completely my kind of music, but I will always keep them a special place somewhere deep in my heart because they are special, probably because of their artistic integrity.

PBS played All I need the other day. The memories flooded. The cd buried deep with the rest in folders and boxes. Amps and CD players long gone. JBLs stand dormant and silent awaiting the day music can speak to me though. My phone and a wee tiny JBL speaker lol. Thankyou Air. You are like a photo album of memories in my mind of friends and places from long ago. Did I see somewhere they're going to be in Melbourne in May??? Prob at a festival for youngns I couldn't afford lol😊

If you ever want the spend the rest of your life in the balmy warmth of a late afternoon in mid-June with the early buildings of Norman Foster projected on the backs of your closed eyelids while the calendar intones 'I am 1975 and I am 1977 and I am 1975..." then AIR is for you. As they are for me. Is this the strange and comforting heaven I have longed for since the age of eight. Or am I still eight, and as in 'La Jetée', privy to the vision of my future death? Such ecstasy!

Wow, that was super intense! Really lovely. You totally got me in the frame of mood. Yes, I could very much spend the rest of my life in a lazy, mid 70s stupor. There's no other way to go. And I love Air!!! They really capture and epitomize something special.

Air is Art..I was brought up in Paris in the 60s and lived there in the 80s also and this album reminds me of my paris days which were beautiful ...my favourite French band

In Jan 2018 the streaming free radio station SBS Chill, held its annual Chill 100 where listeners vote for their fav song. Air's All I Need, from the Moon Safari album came in at number 1 and, The Silver Lady (La Femme D'argent) came in at number 14. That's 20 years after Moon Safari's initial release... I'll still be listening to AIR through the next decade and beyond because, it's so chill.
