This was THE multiplayer game when I was a kid at the turn of the millenium. I didn’t even own the game myself, but everybody I knew had the game on PC (or at least Worms 2), and basically everybody had a PC at this point, so whenever you’d visit somebody it was safe to say you’d be playing Worms at some point. And something that is imo kinda underrated about Worms in general is how friendly it is towards varying sizes of friend groups. A common problem when I was a kid was either not having enough controlers when playing on consoles, the game not supporting more than 2 to 4 players, and on PC often not being very multiplayer friendly at all even with two players bumping elbows in front of a keyboard. But with Worms being turn based and technically supporting as many as 48 players if you were willing to control one Worm each (and the ability to name each Worm after yourselves), everybody could participate regardless of controllers or group size. Add to that supporting tons of languages that usually wouldn’t get game translations (especially back then; it even got localized voice overs!), and mild cartoon violence that felt edgy to us as 10 year olds, it really was the perfect kids game. Worms Armageddon truly was a special game.
Had the original on Saturn and Armageddon on Dreamcast. Loved both but to this day Armageddon is still the best Worms game. Imo the formula was pretty much perfected with this game. Happy to see it return.

Add a sensible anti-cheat, ranked games with scheme rotation every month, ladder (1v1, 2v2, 3v3), skins for worms, more weapons and a perfect Worms game. Like W:A 2.0.

Censorship. You can add any voiceline you want to PC though, they're all available for download including Angry Scots. It even has a speechbank editor so you could record your own voice
This is awesome, but I would love a port of Worms 3D for Xbox, that was the one my family all played together and the day our xbox disc started skipping was an actual day of mourning

In the 90s we had scorched earth, which was great for the same reason. Plus it fit in a disk, so you could take it anywhere.
