Yes, they could add more themes like beach, volcano or more game styles like super mario bros 2 (not only the mushroom powerup but a full SMB2 theme), maybe a 2D version of Super Mario 64/Sunshine/Galaxy like they did with 3D World

Only thing I'd add: now that there's World Maker, there ought to be an option to include a secondary exit in a stage's sub-world. That way worlds can have bonus stages that are earned by finding secret exits. This trailer shows that World Maker already supports branching paths, and stage exits are obviously a well-understood feature, so it should be a pretty simple addition (ie, could be a 'minor' update, since they said this is the last 'major' update).

So there's at least one feature in this update that's not called out in the trailer. But dotted-line blocks already existed in every other style, and there was never any good reason not to include them in 3D World (they already had blinking blocks, which are the exact same thing, just on a consistent timer instead of block-activated), so they may have decided that calling attention to the fact that they *finally* included dotted-line blocks in 3D World would be counter-productive. So, there could be other minor details included in the update that aren't included in this trailer, but if secret exits were one of those details, I'd be surprised that they didn't go ahead and tell us here.

"way i see it don't play the game anymore" is such dumb logic because that's the entire point. we want to keep playing the game, but we can't, because there's no new content. there's a reason the only remnant of the mario maker community is basically just desbug and the competitive / co-op players, and the people making computers and stuff.
@@lightning13clair29 I'd put the multiplayer update up as a very notable one, but the reality is that people don't seem to recognize the gulf in the scale of the major updates in Mario Maker 2 relative to the small updates for the original. Some people are even at the point of saying it only got 2 updates outright. Looking through the patch notes and comparing to the original game really drives home how exorbitant the additions made to MM2 really are. The bookmark site might have been nice to see return, but I suppose they figured the improved in-game search was good enough in the sequel.

This is one of the best games I ever played. I thought I was going to get bored but the building system really got my creativity going. These is a great learning tool if your looking to get into game design.

@@da3329 that would be great. Imagine you love smash, but hate people that spam PK fire with Ness or Lucas. Just disable these fighters as opponents and you don't get matched. Plus: almost every other Online game gives you the option to ad friends or to block players after a match, which is a great feature, missing in smash.

The world maker is great, but it just feels so...limiting. Five stages per world means that you can't have long branching paths, the bonus minigames just award 1ups and you don't keep powerups between stages. I feel like SMBX back in the day was better at that.

Here’s a list of what I feel like this game still needs. It has so much more potential and I feel like it’s only scratched the surface. (Power Ups) This game added great power ups, but I feel like we could use a little more -Mini mushroom, this item is loved and hated by many, but this could add for some great creativity. -Ice Flower, should’ve been in MM1 -Penguin Suit, should’ve been in MM1 -Blue shell, another loved and hated by many. I feel like this is one of the lesser known items which is why it isn’t in. -Double Cherry, Would probably be hard to implement, but one of my top 3 power ups. -Super Crown, this one would make the least sense to add, but levels could get more creative -Hammer Suit, would be great to break brick with -Coin box, satisfaction (Styles) We still only have one style... -Mario galaxy, This could add a few items and remove a couple. I feel like this could work great. Just look at some of the 2D sections in galaxy. -Mario odyssey, Very different items just like 3d world. -Mario Bros 2, This is by far the most reasonable one. Pretty sure it was canceled which explains the new mushroom power up. (Enemies) There are so many enemies and I feel like we’re lacking a lot of them tbh. We still have the most basic ones that have yet to be implemented in -Shy Guys -Ice bros -Ice Piranha Plant -Fliprus -Huckit Crab -Jellybeam -Clampy -Fuzzys -Cooligan -Crowber -Dragoneel -Scaredy Rat -Brambal -Biddybud (Themes) Its great MM2 added some more themes, but I feel like there could be more from both course and world maker. -Beach, yeah we have underwater, but this could add so many enemies and creativity. -Mountain, how has this not been added... -Autumn, has been in a few games like 3d world and Origami king. It’s also a great alternate to the grassy fields. -Galaxy, has been done before with 3d world. This game has so much more potential. This games amazing and I love it. It’s sad to see this game get like 2 updates. No extra game styles or anything like that. I feel like the ice flower, the mountain and beach themes, and like half the enemies I mentioned are necessary for a Mario maker game.
Also I agree, even a Japanese game designer on Twitter is hoping that Mario 35 battle royale will move to Mario maker 2 sometime after March 31st, if his wish comes true, then maybe we’ll finally get these missing key elements that were missing in Mario maker 2.

@@Cheezbal technically the penguin suit is the better power up. It lets you swim faster (frog suit), has you slide (shell suit), and can shoot ice balls (ice flower). So I cant argue with that.

The world maker is great, but it just feels so...limiting.
Five stages per world means that you can't have long branching paths, the bonus minigames just award 1ups and you don't keep powerups between stages.
I feel like SMBX back in the day was better at that.

Here’s a list of what I feel like this game still needs. It has so much more potential and I feel like it’s only scratched the surface.
(Power Ups) This game added great power ups, but I feel like we could use a little more
-Mini mushroom, this item is loved and hated by many, but this could add for some great creativity.
-Ice Flower, should’ve been in MM1
-Penguin Suit, should’ve been in MM1
-Blue shell, another loved and hated by many. I feel like this is one of the lesser known items which is why it isn’t in.
-Double Cherry, Would probably be hard to implement, but one of my top 3 power ups.
-Super Crown, this one would make the least sense to add, but levels could get more creative
-Hammer Suit, would be great to break brick with
-Coin box, satisfaction
(Styles) We still only have one style...
-Mario galaxy, This could add a few items and remove a couple. I feel like this could work great. Just look at some of the 2D sections in galaxy.
-Mario odyssey, Very different items just like 3d world.
-Mario Bros 2, This is by far the most reasonable one. Pretty sure it was canceled which explains the new mushroom power up.

This game has so much more potential. This games amazing and I love it. It’s sad to see this game get like 2 updates. No extra game styles or anything like that. I feel like the ice flower, the mountain and beach themes, and like half the enemies I mentioned are necessary for a Mario maker game.
